I haven't seen today's episode, but based on all the previous episodes, it is obvious that Suresh is a bully with the massive ego to boot. His arrogance is nauseating and his disrespect towards Sharda is so annoying. How ironic that the woman he actually claims to love is the one that refuses to be subservient and knocks him down time and time again, and the woman that waits on him hand and foot, is the one he holds in contempt. The lesson is that Sharda needs to grow a healthy self-esteem to develop an identity (pehchan) that embodies the correct balance of humility, confidence and refusal to ever be bullied or treated disrespectfully. This takes time, from spending a life time pleasing others and being totally subservient.

I also have doubts about Suresh changing because he hasn't yet fully realized Sharda's potential and the value of her goodness. Also, since he is so self-serving, with deviant moral values, change is next to impossible.

I strongly feel that he should have faced the consequences of cheating 2 women and the children in the legal sense. Yes, he should be legally culpable, as seeing him roaming around freely, unscathed just sends the wrong message to society.
