From my understanding thus far -

Wife 2 has moved to Mumbai to be closer to Suresh

Suresh takes business trips to spend time with Wife 2

Suresh fell in love with Wife 2 sometime during one of his business trips (it wouldn't make sense to fall in love with her 20 some years ago)

Suresh needs Sharda to take care of the family because she's the only one gullible enough to believe whatever crap he feeds her (thus, he can essentially lead a dual life without getting his reputation tarnished by the media)

Suresh doesn't have any kids with Wife 2, but Wife 2 is a businesswoman which Suresh is into.

The sad thing about this track is we all know how it's going to end for sure. Surely the CVs aren't going to boot Suresh ... so something will happen, Suresh will have an epiphany and he realizes that Sharda is the one woman he loves the most more than anybody because of the times she has stood by his side, yadda yadda yadda. And it will be back to normal. ...
