Chapter 5
Later in Night,
Kalpana was all set to sleep on her cozy bed, where she used to be once upon a time. She was in her night wears, and she heard, loud thundering sound catching her attention towards open windows and flying white curtains. She went towards windows to close it, "It seems Mumbai has welcomed me with heavy rains!" she thought, and her eyes fell on the man, who was apparently facing his back towards her and was drinking wine from his bottle. Raghav's eyes were red, though Kalpana cannot see it, she was sure, he wasn't in his state, that's exactly when it started raining making Raghav and Kalpana look towards sky and
FLASHBACK:
It was quiet a late in night when Raghav and Kalpana were riding back home from party, after 3 days of their engagement. Suddenly after 3 or 4 strikes of lightening in the sky, rains poured around in city, and newly developing feelings within Kalpana, after being engaged to this man next to her, for all love and care he has showered on her, she felt like... and she asked him to stop the car. Raghav look at her confused, but not being able to deny, he did stop the car, "Kya hua Kalpi? Sab theek hai? Are you ok?" he asked her keeping his assuring hand on Kalpana's shoulder. Kalpana smiled at his concern and looked outside, removing her seat belt. She opened the door when she heard him call her out, "Kalpi, Kya kar rahi ho? You will get sick, such things aren't healthy," not paying any heed, she still stepped outside, "It's not healthy, but it's still so romantic, look at this climate!" she said, going in front of the car and opening her arms wide, facing up in the skyshe started twirling around and enjoying the moment, while as whipper of the car kept on swinging from one end to another, clearing out Her beautiful sight to Raghav every time as twirled around happily. This sight was indeed mesmerizing for him. He looked and kept on looking at her, smile appeared on his face, and before he can realize, he unlocked his seat belt and opened the door of car. He made his way towards Kalpana and no sooner he was closer, consciousness hit lost Kalpana and she looked towards him, and unable to take his strong gaze on her, she took away her eyes from and red blush appeared on her face! He came closer to her, as she tried to back away, she was about to stumble down because of stone, and fall down, but was held back by Raghav to save her, as he wrapped his hand around her waist, and helped her stand back again. Kalpana puts both her arms on her shoulder trying to be stable. Raghav slowly, brings his hands up from her to shoulder, rubbing it gently, and then on her cheeks. He pulls it up to make her look into his eyes, and when she did, he inched closer to her lips, and Kalpana losing out on herself, closed her eyes, as duo gave into each other kissing deeper and passionately as his hands reached her head from back pulling it closer to him. It was not until, Raghav realized she was feeling breathless, he broke the kiss, and she kept her head on his chest breathing heavily, and her eyes, closed. Raghav wrapped his arms around her shoulder, and they remained like this for a while, it Kalpana was ok. Raghav helped her to the car, opening the door and making her seat comfortably, he moved on his side. And Kalpana remained there closing her eyes and resting and recalling the experience of kissing a man for the first time ever, who was now her fiance and whom she was in love with, while he began to drive off.
FLASHBACK Ends
Tears rolled down her eyes, and Raghav turned his head to meet her eyes. She looked at him, and wipping off any tears and straightening her face, she continued to closing the window! Raghav stared at closed window for few seconds, and not losing out all the patience he has had since her arrival he flung the bottle in his hand, making it loud noise, which stopped Kalpana from going to bed and she turned around. She once again turned to window and went to it, almost opening it, but realizing on what she is doing, she slowed down to just sneak out and confirm if Raghav is alright or has hurt himself because of glass break. She was relived to find no one there, however then she heard, loud banging noise on her room's door, and she hurried to open it. She was shocked to find, completely wet and drunk Raghav over there and she immediately tried closing the door. However before she can succeed, she found his hand in middle of the edge and door, she compelled herself to open it again and wondered if he hurt himself. He entered the room, and closed the door behind, while Kalpana stepped back in fear as he approached her. "Ra..." she murmerred, "Raggav, what are you doing?" she managed to ask he held on her arms and brought her closer to him and hugged her, Kalpana was left confused, "I missed you alot Kalpi" he whispered in her ears in his hoarse voice. Kalpana couldn't help but do feel little bad, "I am really sorry Kalpi, I never meant to hurt you, nor ever ever wished you would suffer or leave the house, because of some stupid things!" he said breaking the hug and looking at her, his voice almost cracking as he spoke! His words, did take her to deadliest day of her wedding and she pushed him away, "Just Leave!" she told him, "I don't want to speak to you Raghav!" she said moving away, "But what is wrong Kalpi? What did I do?" he yet dared to ask in his drunken state. "What did you do?" she repeated looking at him anger in her eyes visible, "do you still have gutts to ask that???" she asked him, Raghav rolled his eyes, "I don't get it, what's the big deal!!" he snapped, "Gosh, we are living in 21st century, and don't tell me, kissing is a crime!" he said, not budged from his place. Kalpana couldn't believe her ears, and tears rolled down her eyes, "It's not a crime, but it's ethically wrong!" she commented, "cuz, woman whom you were kissing was someone else's wife and you were engaged, to be committed to someone!" she completed her words, "and who are you to create and decide the boundaries of ethics?" questioned Raghav irritated moving closer to her, "It's all the work of what we perceive, and ..." Kalpana stepped back, as Raghav continued speaking and stepping towards her, "and I can kiss anyone I want in 21st century!" and held Kalpana by shoulder with his right hand and wrapped his other hand around her waist while Kalpana kept trying to free herself from his grip, by pushing him, but failed everytime, and Raghav continued, "Didn't we kiss each other ... for first time in one such stormy night?" asked Raghav, and bringing his face closer to her "I remember that! It was our first kiss... something I would never forget, ..." he said with smile, and he shifted his had from shoulder to face, and tightened his grip around her waist. He traced her lips with his fingers, all the while Kalpana tried pulling herself out, feeling disgusted by his words. Raghav brought his lips closer to hers, but before they can meet, Kalpana managed to push him away again and came another slap on his face! "Don't you dare! Don't you dare touch me, .. it's highly disgusting as a feeling... and " she turned back, "and just ... stay away from me..." she said, wiping away her tears.
"FINE!" shouted Raghav, "what the hell do you even think of yourself? I was here, cuz I felt sorry,... and guilty... not for kissing, but for you had to leave the house... because I was worried for how would have you managed, and was missing you..." he said, rubbing his hand and moving closer, "But you know what!! Forget it, I don't care anymore, you deserved every bit of it..." he shouted in anger, and turned back, leaving the room with bang of the door.. Kalpana tried shielding herself strong but failed miserably, crying her out she laid back on bed...!! but sleep was away from her eyes... She once again tried closing her eyes, and recalling all the happy moments of the day, and throughout the year, times she spent with Parth, Pakhi, Seema, and Sammy, she successfully managed to dozz off for night.
Next Day
Seema slowly enters the room of Kalpi, and tries to wake her up, caressing her head,
Seema: kalpi...get up bachaaa
Kalpi :5min Pls...I'm almost about to get the award!
Seema (rolled her eyes!) :Kaika award, jab tak aisa kuch karegi nai, tab tak nai milega, specially if you keep sleeping, you won't even get new stuff for yourself, awards toh dur ki baat hai! (What awards? If you don't work for getting it, you won't even be getting it, and particularly, if you keep sleeping, you would even miss the opportunity to buy yourself new things! awards are far away talks!)
Kalpi (turning her head) : 5 more minutes di, please
Seema: Fine them don't complain for what happens next...
Saying so she got up from her bed, and headed towards bathroom. Within few minutes, she came back with bucket in her hand, and moved towards Kalpana, "Please forgive me!" she said looking up, "I hope Kamla aunty won't mind, cleaning wet beds!" and without wasting a second poured the bucket of water on sleeping form of Kalpi making her sit up and scream!
Kalpi:Di (she screamed)
Seema (making innocent face):what ?? I...had no other opition then this??
Kalpi Stormed into her bathroom and joined family for breakfast (except Raghav).
Seema couldn't control her laughter even there, and then soon apologized Kalpana and decided to go for shopping as Kalpana had to purchase traditional clothes for her sister's wedding.
Kalpana and Seema went ahead towards car, while Sammy decided to assign work to his employees for meeting, while he was away. Meanwhile, Raghav came downstairs and sat on dining table and took up his tea cup in hand, but paused before taking sip, as he heard his brother, "I will sure be late for meeting, as I am heading to mall, and it's my wedding phase, so just be witty while dealing with clients, I am trusting you guys! and" he turned to Raghav, who was already looking at him, "Raghav Bhai, please just handle the important meeting tomorrow, it's there before the function, and we need to get this deal, and Kapoors are very strong, one of us need to be there..." he requested and Raghav just nodded his head.!
"Sammy ,I would join you all for shopping!" he informed Sammy and turned to pick up his things while Sammy stood there shocked, "Seriously?" confirmed Sammy, "Yes of course, I need to buy some stationary, and things for your wedding too!" casually excused Raghav, "Like what?" came instant question, "You will know!" he said, putting his wallet in his pockets and going towards door, "Chalo, let's go!" he said.
Seema and Kalpana were surprised to see Sammy coming ALONG with Raghav. "What is he doing di with Jiju?" asked Kalpana worried. "Well, don't worry, he never prefers going for shopping, so, I am sure... and hoping he won't be there!" she said assuring Kalpana. However to their utter surprise Raghav had different plans, as he took the keys from driver and told him to drive employees to office instead and he will take it to shopping mall.
