"Ragahv please pick up the phone," Sammy said worried, holding the phone near his ear. "Ragahv where are you," He whispered to himself. Ragahv left the party last night alone as he couldn't see his Kalpana with someone else. He couldn't see his Kalpana in someone else's arms. He couldn't bear his Kalpana forgot him. He didn't move on with his life and had been waiting for her since 6 years. Now when she was here in front of him, she refused to recognize him.
On the other hand, after placing the third empty bottle on the bar counter, he managed to come out from the bar. While driving, he said in his mind, I will not leave any hope until you come back into my life Kalpana. I waited for 6 years, and if needed, I am ready to wait for you my entire life, but I can't sacrifice you with anyone else, and I am ready to fight with the world to get her back to me. Ragahv stopped his car in front of the Malhotra Mansion. He got off from the car and walked toward the gate. Seeing him, one of the guards asked him, "Who would you like to meet?" "I would like to meet Kalpana," saying so Ragahv was about to enter into the gate but stopped when the guard said, "You can't get into the building like this. I have to take permission first." The guard called Raj. "Sir, someone is here to meet Kalpana." Hearing the guard, Raj whispered to himself confused, "Kalpana?" "Tell him that here is no Kalpana live here," saying so Raj cut the call. "Sir, here no Kalpana live here. You came to the wrong address," the guard said. "Kalpana lives here and I saw her few hours ago in this house," Ragahv said drunk, I have to go inside now," Saying so he was about to enter into the gate, but the guard stopped him saying angrily, "I told you that no Kalpana lives here." Giving him an angry glare, Ragahv said, "Just wait and watch, she will come out," saying so Ragahv started calling Kalpana by her name, "Kalpana." The guard couldn't bear this drunk Ragahv anymore and then called Raj again, "Sir, this guy is not ready to leave." Hearing him, Raj said, "If he doesn't want to leave then call police."
Sammy got a phone call from the police station and got to know that Ragahv got arrested as he was making scene in front of the Malhotra Mansion and told him to come and take Ragahv with him. When Sammy was taking Ragahv with him, the inspector warned Ragahv not to do it again, and if he gets caught again then he will not get any bail. Hearing him, Ragahv said looking into the inspectors eyes mischievously, "Then see my face very well as I am going to be your regular guest here." Looking at Sammy's eyes, the inspector said, "Mr. Raizada, tell your friend to take it seriously." "I am also telling you to take my words seriously," Ragahv said angrily, "I had been searching my wife since six years and when she is here, in front of me, you are telling me to stay quiet?" Before Ragahv got arrested again because of his misbehavior, Sammy took Ragahv with him.
Looking at Ragahv's sleeping face, Sammy mumbled to himself, "Ragahv, I can't see you like this. If she is your Kalpana, then I promise, I will help you in every possible way to get her back." He opened Ragahv's laptop and tried to pull up Kaya Jaspal's profile. He was shocked. There was no biography at this name and whenever he tried by the name of Kaya, some KJ's profile popped up. Then he had an immediate urge to read KJ's Profile.
The next morning Ragahv woke up with heady headache. Seeing Sammy busy with something in the laptop, Ragahv asked, "What are you doing in this early morning in the laptop?" Sammy was as lost as he couldn't hear Ragahv. Ragahv asked him loudly, "Sammy you didn't go home last night?" "No," Sammy replied, "I neither went home nor I slept." "What? What did you do then?" Ragahv asked. "Ragahv I tried to check Kaya Jaspal's profile but whenever I tried some KJ's profile popped up. After reading her profile, I got to know that she is a lawyer by profession and had completed her education from New York's best Law school, Columbia University Law Scho.." Cutting Sammy's sentence, Ragahv said, "I have no interest on this KJ. Why are you wasting your time reading some unknown woman's profile?" Hearing him Sammy said, "If you would read then you would get interest too. I got so much lost in her profile, as I couldn't realize when three hours passed. The most surprising part was, she fought only for poor people free and in her career she never lost any of her cases. She is in India now." Ragahv didn't show any interest and told Sammy that he would like to go to Malhotra Mansion and he wanted Sammy to arrange it. After thinking something Sammy got some idea and told Raghav that they will go to Malhotra Mansion in the evening.
In the evening Ragahv and Sammy went to Malhotra Mansion to meet Mr. Malhotra with a business proposal. In absence of Mr. Malhotra, Raj came to meet them. Mr. Malhotra wanted Raj to take care of their business in India from now on. Raj and Sammy were talking about the proposal while Ragahv's all attention was searching for Kalpana/Kaya around in the living room. Sometime his eyes were stuck on the stairs thinking she may come down. It's been two hours but he couldn't see a glimpse of Kalpana/Kaya. All of a sudden, Raj's phone rang and Kaya's name flashed on the screen. "Excuse me. I have to take the call as it is very important." Raj picked up the phone, "Hello! Kaya did you reach there safely? You take care okay? Come back once you complete your work. I will miss you," Saying so Raj cut the call. Ragahv was listening to their conversation very carefully. She is not in Mumbai? Where did she go and what type of work did she go to complete? Ragahv said in his mind. Ragahv whispered into Sammy's ear, "Ask Raj, where did she go? I want to go there." Raj looked at Sammy when Sammy said, "You must be feeling lonely without Ms. Kaya as you were telling us that you can't stay without her." Hearing him, Raj nodded and said with smile, "Yah." Sammy asked, "By the way, where did she go?" "She is out of town now for two weeks," Raj replied. Raj didn't say exactly where she was for her safety. "For two weeks?" Ragahv whispered to himself sad.
While going back to home in the car, seeing Raghav quiet, Sammy said, "I really feel bad for you Ragahv. I can understand how much you are going through." Sammy added, "I really don't understand, if she is Kalpana then why she didn't recognize you? Did she lose her memo..?" Ragahv cut his sentence and said, "No, she didn't." after thinking something Ragahv continued, "There must be something Sammy, otherwise she wouldn't hide her identity." Hearing him, Sammy asked, "How can you be so sure Ragahv?" Ragahv said, "Kalpana loves me as much as I do. There must be something otherwise she wouldn't stay away from me. I have to find out." "How you will be able to find out? Didn't you notice, Raj didn't open his mouth, and that Kaya also refused to recognize you?" Hearing him, "If she could act then I also can do the same," Raghav said. Sammy looked at him confused. Ragahv continued, "I am not going to force her to recognize me. Whenever I will meet her, I will meet her as a stranger and will try to find out as a stranger." Looking at Sammy, "why do I need to force to get whatever is mine?" Ragahv said with a serious tone.
The very next day morning, while going to his cabin, Ragahv told his PA to tell Ramu to bring coffee for him. After few minutes his PA came to his cabin with coffee. Seeing his PA, Ragahv asked, "Why did you bring coffee for me? Where is Ramu?" In the meantime Sammy entered into Ragahv's cabin. PA said, "Sir, Ramu went to his town for two weeks." "What happened? Is everything all right?" Ragahv asked worried. "Sir, you already know that he lost his wife and his unborn baby because of the hospital's staff and doctor's neglect and he filed a case against them, but before it came to the court his case had been closed. First of all he couldn't afford to appoint any law year to fight his case and then those people were very powerful to fight against." Hearing his PA, Ragahv nodded and said, "Yah, I remembered that." PA continued, "Now Ramu reopened that case with the glimpse of hope when there is a famous law year with him." Hearing his PA, Ragahv and Sammy looked at his PA at the same time confused. His PA continued, "Yes sir, the famous lawyer, KJ is fighting for his case. She already studied his case while she was in USA. Not only his case but she studied a lot like Ramu's case and now she is here in India to fight their case. But the surprising thing is she is helping these people free." Hearing this, "Really?" Ragahv said surprised. "Yes, I also heard that she fights for poor people free," Sammy said. "How did Ramu know about her when she was not here in India?" Hearing him the PA said, "Sir, Ramu didn't contact her but she did. As I said that she studied not only Ramu's but a lot like his case when she was in USA and decided to reopen them. With the help of his friend's friend who is a police inspector, got to know about those people and their case which had been closed forever and Ramu's case was one of them. Most of her cases were old," Hearing his PA, Ragahv was surprised and said in his mind, why is she doing this, knowing that her life may be in danger as she was going against those powerful and dangerous people? "Strange?" Ragahv mumbled to himself. He had some respect grow for her at that moment.
Two weeks later Ragahv got to know that Kaya came back to Mumbai. One early morning, Kaya went outside for morning walk. When she was running near a lake, she looked at her side hearing from someone, "Hi!" "Hi!" Kaya replied and asked, "Do I know you?" "Very well," Raghav replied while running with Kaya. Kaya looked at Ragahv confused. "I meant to say, we met in the party and you were about to fall but I saved you," Ragahv said. Kaya tried to remember and then said, "Oh, now I remembered you. Actually you are looking different in this trouser." Hearing her, Ragahv said, "But you are looking as gorgeous as always." "Excuse me?" Kaya said. "Nothing but I just said, "You are beautiful," Raghav replied. Hearing him Kaya said, "Hey Mr. You don't know who I am or you wouldn't try to flirt with me." Ragahv smiled and said in his mind, I know you very well. You are my Kalpana and there is no wrong if I flirt with my wife. Ragahv offered her a bottle of water but Kaya refused to take it saying, "Thank you. I have one." They were still running together. All of a sudden Ragahv noticed that a young man touched his arm with Kaya on purposely while running from the opposite direction. Before Ragahv could react and take any action, Kaya started running backward. Once she reached to that guy, she tapped his shoulder. He looked behind to see who was that and within a second he found himself on the ground as Kaya hit him with a karate style kick causing him to fall on the ground and making Ragahv to open his mouth wide surprised. Sitting beside that guy, Kaya said holding his neck, "What do you think women are helpless?" Releasing him from her grip with a jerk, "hope you will not forget me and specially this incident when you will see any girl with a bad intension," Kaya said. After that Kaya came back to Ragahv. While running forward, Ragahv said, "Now I am scared of you." Hearing him Kaya said, "Good for you." Ragahv said amused, "Seems like you know karate." Hearing him, "I earned my black belt already," Kaya said. "Why did you learn it?" Hearing Ragahv Kaya looked at him. "Actually, I am very curious that's why asked you," Raghav said and added, "Karate is especially for men, not for woman." Hearing him, Kaya said with heavy tone, "Women need it most for their safety." Ragahv didn't say anything further but she made him thinking about her even more. When they came near a coffee shop, Ragahv offered Kalpana, "Can you come with me for a coffee?" Seeing her looking at him, Ragahv said, "Please don't think that I am like those type of boys. I saved you that day that's why you can't deny at least having a cup of coffee with me." "Looking at her wrist watch, "Sorry not today. Some other time. I need to go back as I am getting late," Saying so Kaya left from there leaving Ragahv in a deep thought. Kalpana is so changed. What made her changed a lot from a simple, sweet, innocent girl to a strong, rude, arrogant woman? On top of that the way she was behaving seems like I am really a stranger for her, Raghav said in his mind. Now he had started doubting that she lost her memory.
When Ragahv told Sammy about this incident, Sammy was shocked. Hearing this Sammy said, "Ragahv, she may not be your Kalpana but Raj's Kaya." Ragahv got angry. "She is my Kalpana and I will prove it to you soon," Saying so Ragahv left from there. "Ragahv, you lost your six years search for Kalpana and now I am very worried about thinking you will end up to the mental asylum fighting for Kaya who is actually not yours."
Every morning Ragahv would go to the same place for Kaya and would come back frustrated as she didn't go there. He thought that was the place where he would be able to meet her and would be able to know about her slowly. He didn't lose any hope and went there every day. After few days finally Kaya came there for morning walk again. Ragahv joined her. Seeing him Kaya asked, "Are you following me?" Hearing her, Ragahv said, "Why do I need follow for whatever is mine." Kaya looked at him confused as she didn't understand. To change the topic Ragahv asked her, why she didn't come last few days. When Kaya asked him why then Ragahv said she agreed to have a coffee with him that's why. Hearing him Kaya smiled and agreed for the coffee today.
When waiter came to their table to take order for both of them, Ragahv said, "One coffee for me and t.." Ragahv was about to say tea for Kalpana but Kaya cut his sentence saying, "Black coffee for me please." She changed her taste too? Ragahv said in his mind sad, how could I forget that she is Kaya now? She killed Kalpana to become Kaya. While having coffee, Ragahv asked, "for how long you been in USA?" "Long time," Kaya replied. "Why did you plan to settle down in India?" placing her coffee mug on the table Kaya replied, "This is my country and who doesn't want to be settled down in their own country?" While talking, Ragahv noticed that Kaya kept looking at her wrist watch. "Seems like you are busy?" Ragahv asked. "Yes," Kaya replied, "I will not stay quiet until I am able to fulfill my dream." She added, "Excuse me, I have to go. Anyway thanks for the coffee." Ragahv nodded and then Kaya left.
At night holding Kalpana's photo Ragahv said, "Kalpana, were you ever upset on me? If not then why did you leave me like this? Why are you punishing me by ignoring me? Why are you punishing me by staying away from me? Did you really forget me Kalpana? You really didn't remember our beautiful moments? I am missing my sweet, simple, innocent Kalpana." Placing a soft kiss on her photo, Ragahv fell asleep hugging her photo.
On the other hand, Kaya had a bad dream, someone was trying to force on her and then she was running to save her life. All of a sudden she stopped as she couldn't run further. She was breathing heavily. All of a sudden she saw a person coming toward her with a knife...Kaya woke up with a jerk and started screaming, "Please don't kill me." Raj's room is next to Kaya's room. Hearing her screaming, Raj got off from the bed and ran toward her room. Sitting on her bed, Raj hugged Kaya. While caressing her hair, "Kaya, you still see that dream?" Raj said worried. After breaking the hug, he said, "Kaya, I made you as strong as nothing can affect you. I can't see you break down." Taking his hand in her, Kaya said, "I know Raj. You were the only person who supported me in every possible way. You helped me to make me strong. Whatever I am today it is only because of you. I am thankful to God to have you in my life," saying so Kaya hugged Raj back. Hearing her he became emotional. While caressing her hair, Raj said teasing, "Don't make me so emotional or I will start crying." He added, "Now go to sleep." Kalpana denied saying, "Let me be na for a while. I feel peace in your arms." When Raj felt Kaya fell asleep in his arms, he made her sleep on the bed and then he covered her with the blanket before he left the room.
In his office, Ragahv was as restless as he couldn't gather any information about Kaya. He couldn't concentrate on his work. He couldn't stay quiet until he found out the truth behind all this. He told Sammy to call Raj here for a business purpose and he will ask Raj about Kaya directly. Sammy did the same as Ragahv wanted. Raj came to their office in the afternoon. While discussing about a project all of a sudden Raghav asked, "Mr. Malhotra, how did you meet Ms. Kaya?" Seeing Raj looking at Ragahv confused, Ragahv said, "I meant to say, was she your classmate? I meant to say if you both were classmates and studied in the same subject then why you both didn't end up working in the same profession?" Hearing him, Raj smiled and said, "We were neither classmates nor studied in the same subject. She chose to be a lawyer." Hearing him Raghav whispered to himself, "Lawyer?" Ragahv asked, "For how long she had been practicing?" "Since one and half year," Raj replied. "Where is her office so that we can go there to discuss with any of our cases in the future," hearing Ragahv Raj smiled and then said, "There is no use of going there because she won't take your case." "Why not?" Ragahv asked. "She works only on some special cases," Hearing Raj, Ragahv didn't get it and then said, "If you request your friend then she will surely agree to work for me." Handling a Kaya's business card, Raj said, "Take it. Before you go there let me know. I will talk to her." "Thank you," Ragahv said and added, "By the way you didn't tell me how you met her?" Raj was about to say but all of a sudden his phone rang. Seeing Kaya's name, he immediately picked up the phone. "Hello Kaya!" "Raj if you are not busy, can you meet me? It is very urgent," Kaya said. "Okay, tell me where you are? I am coming now," saying so he wrote an address and cut the call. "Sorry guys, I have to leave now as something emergency came up," Raj said. "Yah sure," Ragahv said with smile. After Raj left, Sammy said, "Kaya is very important in Raj's life. Didn't you notice how he left from here after getting her call?" Raghav felt bad thinking that once Ragahv was everything for Kalpana and now Raj took his place. I need to find out what is the relation in between them, Ragahv said in his mind. He planned to throw a party especially for Raj and Kaya. He will make Raj drunk in the party and this was the only way to reveal the truth.
Next week Raghav threw a party and invited all of his business associates and clients. All the guests started gathering slowly. Ragahv was eagerly waiting for Kaya and Raj. It had been an hour but they didn't come yet. Ragahv was about to call Raj but Sammy stopped him saying, "What are you doing Ragahv? Do you want him to doubt you? The way you were questioning Raj about Kaya that day, and now you were showing so much interest, he may doubt about you and all our plans will be destroyed." In the meantime Raj entered with Kaya. Ragahv was just staring at Kaya amused, as she was looking so beautiful in this gown,
"Sorry for being late," Raj said extending his hand to Ragahav, "Actually I was waiting for Kaya." Taking his hand in him, Ragahv said, "No problem," while his eyes were stuck on Kaya.
The party was going on in full pleasure. While everyone was busy in talking to each other, Ragahv with staring at Kaya. Kaya noticed it. She noticed his strong gaze on her. To avoid him, Kaya decided to stay with Raj all the time. After having dinner all the couples were called on the dance floor. All the couples were started gathering on the dance floor one by one. Raj took Kaya with him. They started dancing. Ragahv was watching them while taking sips from his drink. After few minutes, placing his glass on the bar counter, Ragahv walked toward Raj and Kaya. Extending his hand toward Kaya,"May I have a pleasure dance with this beautiful lady?" Ragahv said. Kaya looked at Raj. Raj smiled giving her permission to dance with Raghav. Taking Kaya's hand in him, Ragahv brought her to a corner of the stage on purposely. Kaya placed her one hand on his shoulder, while his hand went to her waist automatically. It was a slow romantic music. Making little distance both of them started swaying with the music. Giving Ragahv and Kaya space, Sammy took Raj from there. While dancing, Kaya said, "To aap yaha bhi agaya." Ragahv smiled softly and replied, "This is my party."
Kaya: Really? I didn't know that.
Ragahv: Good, that you didn't know or you wouldn't come.
Kaya didn't reply.
Ragahv: You are looking so beautiful.
Kaya: Thank you.
Raghav: You owe me for a cup of coffee.
Kaya looked at him confused
Ragahv: Remember, that day I invited you and now it is your turn. Tell me when I am coming?
Kaya: you are trying to come into my life forcefully.
Ragahv: I don't need to force who is already mine.
Saying so Ragahv whirled her once and then brought her closer to him. They were as lost as they could realize about the surroundings. Both of them were staring at each other. They shared an intense eye lock. He put her both hands around his neck and his on her waist. Holding her tightly he pressed himself more toward her filling the gap in between. Their body touched. They were so close to each other that they could feel each other's breath. He moved toward her neck. Brushing his lips on her neck softly, he whispered, "You didn't answer me." He glanced back to her from the corner of his eyes as her eyes were closed. While kissing on her neck, his hands were caressing her back up and down. Ragahv's grip was as tight on her as Kaya couldn't move and was just allowing him to do whatever he wanted unknowingly. Kaya was as lost in his touch as she couldn't realize how far they went. She kept melting in his kiss.Then his eyes fell on her rosy lips. Moving his lips from her neck to her rosy lips, he whispered again, "When I am coming?" When he captured her lips into a deep passionate kiss, Kaya opened her eyes. The reality hit her. She pushed Ragahv with all her strength. She looked around and noticed that Ragahv brought her to a corner so that no one could see them. Also the room was dim. "How could I lose my control?" Kaya mumbled to herself. Without wasting a second, Kaya left the party leaving Ragahv behind alone. "Oh shit, what did I do?" Ragahv said frustrated, "It will be very difficult for me to convince her to get close to her."
On the other hand, Sammy was busy making Raj drunk so that he could get some information about Kaya. He already made Raj drink one full bottle of wine, though Raj kept denying saying, "I left this habit long time ago when Kaya came into my life." When Sammy felt Raj drunk enough, he started asking question. "How did you meet Kaya?" Sammy asked. Looking at him, Raj asked him back, "Why do you want to know about her? Sorry, for her security purpose, I can't disclose anything about her." "I am asking just as a friend," Sammy replied and asked him again, "What relation do you carry with her?" "She is my everything. Everything means everythi.." Raj couldn't finish his sentence as he felt dizzy.
After dropping Raj home at his place Sammy came to Ragahv's house. Seeing Ragahv sitting quietly, Sammy asked worried, "Ragahv what happened? Is everything all right?" Hearing him, Ragahv shook his head and said, "No." He added, "I made a mistake." Seeing Sammy looking at him confused, Raghav said, "I made Kaya upset." Hearing him Sammy asked, "What did you do with her?"
Ragahv: I kissed her.
Sammy: What?
Ragahv: It was not my fault okay? How could I control myself after getting my wife in my arms after six long years?
Sammy: How could you do it without knowing that she is actually your Kalpana?
Ragahv: She is my Kalpana ok, and this is not the first time I kissed her. I know her touch very well.
Sammy: You ruined everything. Now go and say sorry to her.
Ragahv got angry and said, "I didn't ruin anything and I know very well what I need to do."
Sammy: You keep on try sitting here and over there Raj will make her his.
Ragahv: What do you mean by that?
Sammy: I tried very hard but Raj didn't open his mouth. Seems like he is very protective toward her, but one thing he disclosed that she is everything for him.
Hearing him Ragahv clenched his fist angrily and mumbled to himself, "I will kill that baste...* if he ever tries to say kalpana belongs to him."
The next day Ragahv went to Kaya's office to meet her but he was not able to meet her as she didn't come to the office today. After attempting four days, finally Ragahv was able to meet Kaya. First she denied meeting him saying her secretary that she was busy and wouldn't be able to meet him, but he forcefully entered into her room.
Kaya's outfit at work
Kaya got shocked. "What do you want?" Kaya asked him angrily. "I need to talk to you," Ragahv said. Kaya denied saying, "But I don't want to talk to you." She opened a file and started reading. Ragahv got angry. Snatching the file from Kaya, he threw it on the table and then he pulled her closer to him by her arm. Seeing his sudden behavior, Kaya was shocked. "How dare you to do this to me?" Kaya asked angrily. "Since four days I am trying to talk to you but you are showing me attitude," Ragahv answered her back angrily. While protesting from his grip, she said, "Leave my arm. You are hurting me." "Hurting you?" Ragahv said and added, "I am not but you are. I wish I could show you how much you are hurting me." He released her hand with a jerk. "Now tell me, why did you come here?" Kaya asked and said, "To say sorry?" Hearing her Ragahv said angrily, "I didn't come here to say sorry." Kaya looked at him confused. Seeing him coming toward her, Kaya started walking backward until her back hit the wall of her room. Ragahv stopped and stood very close to her. He leaned toward her and whispered putting her strand behind her ear, "Why should I say sorry?" Looking at her lips, he said, "I am not the only responsible for this." Hearing him, Kaya asked confused, "What do you mean by that?" "It meant you were as responsible as I was. You allowed me to kiss you." Kaya got angry and said, "When did I tell you to kiss me?" Ragahav asked, "Why didn't you stop me? Don't you think that you took too long? Why did you allow me coming close to you knowing that I was getting attracted toward you?" Somehow she knew that he was right. To avoid the topic, Kaya said, "Look, I am very busy. My clients will be here anytime. Please leave," Saying so Kaya was about to go but Ragahv stopped her placing his hands on the wall beside her. "Aha, not now," Raghav said softly, and added,"First you have to admit that you are also getting attracted toward me." Looking at his eyes directly Kaya said, "No I am not. Now please leave me." Ragahv said, "First say yes then I will leave you." Seeing him leaning toward her lips, Kaya asked, "What are you doing?" Ragahv whispered, "Say yes or I will kiss you." Seeing her secretary entering into her room, Kaya pushed Ragahv. Before Ragahv could react, his eyes fell on Kaya's secretary. "Mam, your client is waiting outside," The secretary said. "Ok, bring them in," Kaya said. Looking at Kaya, Ragahv bit his lower lip. He whispered, "See you later." All this time Kaya was just looking at him angrily. In the meantime, an old couple and a teenage girl entered into the cabin. Raghav noticed that the man was handicap. He pulled a chair for him to sit and then left from there.
One evening Sammy and Raghav were discussing about a project. In the meantime Ramu entered into the cabin with two cups of coffee. Placing cups on the table, Ramu looked at the television which was on. He saw something in the television. When he increased the TV Volume, they heard a reporter saying, "MP Mr. Rana Shakhwat's youngest son got arrested in this morning, accused by a rape case. This case had been closed for forever." Both Ragahv and Sammy looked at the television screen when the reporter added, "But advocate KJ reopened this case after two long years.
