CHAPTER 4
S: " uncle, it's ok.. I completely understand.. Hmmm.. Yeah, i have an idea... Could u pls tell me where is the medical camp? I mean i can meet her there and at the same time i could understand her life as a doctor.. So, i would appreciate it and will be able to adjust my life for her..", he completed his perfect speech with a wide grin...
Sahil kapoor and his wife, Neetu kapoor along with the kalpi's family [anirudh malhotra (dad), pooja malhotra(mom), divyan malhotra(brother), shreya malhotra(babhi)] looked at him with admiration like he is the most ideal man..
Kalpi's family and pakhi's family are friends.. Their fathers are business partners..Both are of same status..
Sammy sat there with his suraj uncle giving the fake smile.. Raghav didnt come as he know kalpi's family will be there... So his presence will only cause problem... And moreover, they wont let him meet kalpi..
S(in mind): " maan jao.. Maan jao.. Urghh... How long should i keep smiling like a madman.. These ppl thinking too much to tell where that chudail is.. If not for raghav... Arghhh", but his fake smile still intact on his face..
Suraj looked at his son with an accusing eyes as the boy who has been refusing to accept the proposal suddenly talking about understanding the girl's job, adjusting his life for her.. Sammy looked at his confused papa and winked at him mischievously...
N: " haan beta sure..."
Sah: " she is currently at a medical camp at xyz place.."
S(in mind): " finally.. This ppl tell me the place.."
S: " oh uncle.. Thank you so much.."
After that suraj and sammy left their place..
In the car...
Su: " what was that?"
S: " not now papa.. Will tell u when the time is right.."
At the medical camp..
P: " papa.. Do u realise what u r saying? Is he really insane? Papa.. This is a medical camp.. Not a matrimonial centre... U wait and see i will do post mortem to the gadha's dead body and send it back home..", she said angrily and cut the call..
Kalpi and prem looked at her in concern..
K: " what happened yaar?"
P: " that gadha is coming here.."
Pr&K: " what?", they said in union..
P: " yes, he want to see my life as a doctor and want to adjust his life for me... My foot..And i dont know why, but mom and papa and ur family is also highly praising him like he is the most ideal guy..", she said in irritation..
Prem laughed out loud while kalpi signalled him not to laugh..
P: " i didnt crack a joke dr prem khanna..", she said giving an angry glare..
Prem gulped...
At raizada mansion...
S: " do u think she will be there?"
R: " i dont know but pakhi is her best friend.. She surely knows where is kalpi if not at the medical camp.."
S: " i wish she is there at that medical camp.."
R: " i wish for the same..."
S: " so,we will leave for the place tomorrow morning.."
R: " why not now?", he asked impatiently..
S:" raghav that medical camp is at xyz place.. It is a rural area very far from the city.. In fact we have to cross the river by boat to reach the place.. And i have enquired and there's only three boats going there everyday and today there's no more boats going.. So, we will make a move tomorrow morning and hopefully will reach the medical camp by 5pm.. Is my explanation understandable?"
R: " i dont understand anything other than im going to meet her tomorrow.. After a long year..", he sighed..
S: " dont worry yaar.. Everything will be okay..", he said squeezing raghav's shoulder..
At the medical camp...
Kalpi was examining an old man...
K: " dadaji, pls breath in... Breath out..", she said while placing the stethoscope on her ears and its other end on the old man's chest...
K: " dadaji, do u feel any pain at ur chest area?"
OM: " slightly dr.."
K: " ok fine.. Here take this prescription and show it to the nurse at the tenth camp.. She will give u these medicines..", she said giving a smile...
As soon as the old man left, dr veena (the junior doctor) came there rushing...
V: " Dr.."
K: " yes.."
V: " Dr Kalpana, the woman who just gave birth is not feeding her baby.. Moreover, she is ill treating her baby..", she said worriedly..
K: " why? What happened?", she asked seriously..
V: " Dr, she thinks her daughter brings ill fate.. She lost her husband in the earth quake. And she is blaming the child for bringing bad luck..", she said disgusted..
K: " what? What the small child as to do with that? This is atrocious.. (She sighed).. U go.. I will come..", veena nodded and left the camp..
Kalpi walked to the place where the women and her child were kept.. When she reached there she saw pakhi and two nurses trying to make the women understand.. But the woman seems to be adamant.. Kalpana frowned as to why some ppl are like this...
She saw the nurse handing the newborn to the mother.. But that woman throw the baby away from her.. The baby was about to fall but kalpi caught the child...
K: " what are u doing?", she shouted angrily while pakhi and others looked on..
The baby was crying..
K: " did u feed the baby? She is crying because of hunger.. Pls feed ur baby..", she said while bringing the baby near the mother..
Mo: " i dont wanna feed this bad luck.. Because of this i lost my husband..", she said making face..
Kalpana closed her eyes to control her anger.. She let out a deep breath..
K: " look.. Ur way of thinking is wrong.. How can u blame such an innocent soul for ur bad luck and the dead of ur husband? Look here.. U pls feed the baby.. She is hungry and it is very important for her to drink mother's milk.. So pls..she is already weak and if u dont feed her, she will die..", she tried to reason with the mother of the child..
Mo: " let it die... Its better if she dies than staying alive and ruining my life.."
That was enough for kalpi...
K: " ENOUGH !!! STOP IT.. Are u really a mother? First of all are u really a woman? How can u be so stone hearted towards ur baby? And u know what? God shouldnt have gifted u the most precious gift that every woman yearn for.. He gifted u that.. A baby.. But u don't appreciate it... Woman like u wont understand the significance.. Woman like u wont understand the pain... YOU WILL ONLY KNOW THE PAIN WHEN GOD GAVE U THE GIFT AND SNATCHED IT BACK FROM U!!! ", she shouted angrily.. Her body was shivering in anger and tears were brimming on her blood shot eyes...
All the ppl at the surrounding become stand still.. Pakhi went towards kalpi and hugged her to calm her down.. She guided kalpi to the camp while prem followed them.. After kalpi left, the mother of the child slowly took the baby in her arms and kissed her forehead...
Mo: " im sorry baby.. Maa was so bad to u.. Im sorry..", and she started feeding her baby while the nurses smiled...
Kalpi sat in the chair.. Her head bowed... She was still shimmering in anger.. Pakhi and prem looked at her in concern..
Tears started to flow from her doe-shaped beautiful eyes.. She furiously tried to wipe the tears with the back of her hands..
Pr: " pakhi..", he whispered..
Pakhi looked at him and blinked her eyes before making way towards kalpi..
P: " kalpi..", she started but before she continue,
K: " pakhi im fine.. U go.. I need some time alone.."
P: " but..."
K: " im telling u nah.. Im fine.. Just give me some minutes.. Go and check the patients...", she said still wiping the tears which made their way even if kalpi dont want them to..
Pakhi and prem let her alone to compose herself...
At raizada mansion... At raghav's room..
Sammy was sitting on the bed looking from left to right and right to left as raghav was pacing restlessly.
S: " left right.. Left right..", sammy taunted making raghav stop his marching..
Raghav looked at sammy with narrowed eyes..
S: " what? Dont glare at me.. Why are u being so hyper now?"
Raghav went and sit beside sammy.. He ran his fingers through hair in frustration..
S: " what happened yaar?"
R: " if..if.."
S: " if what? Continue nah.."
R: " if kalpi meet me tomorrow, how she will behave?", he asked with fear dancing on his dark brown eyes..
Sammy looked down and at raghav...
R: " tell me sammy, how she will behave?"
S: "she will be angry with you dude..", he muttered softly..
Raghav sighed..Sammy circled his arm around raghav's shoulder..
S: " of course she will be angry... But u have to try to win her back.. Win her love back.. And i will be with u my brother.. U will get ur love back..", sammy said cheering him...
R: " i dont think so..", he said loosing hope..
S: " hey!! What was that? Till yesterday u said u want ur wife back.. And now we know where she is but u r loosing hope? At this moment? Be a man raghav.. Cheer up..", he motivated raghav..
R: " im just ... (Sighed)... Im the biggest fool in the world sammy... And im the worst husband.. I killed...", he closed his eyes and tears dropped from his eyes..
S: " raghav.."
Raghav looked at sammy with teary eyes... Raghav hugged sammy... Sammy hugged him back ensuring everything will be alright..
R: " i just wanna beg for forgiveness from her... I just wanna beg for forgiveness..", he said sobbing while sammy patted raghav on his shoulder in assurance...
They break the hug..
S: " raghav, she will forgive u.. Not only forgiveness but also love... "
Raghav looked at him... Sammy nodded confidently..
S: " yes.. I know it is not that easy.. You have to work really hard... To gain her forgiveness and also her love... But i will always be there with u dude.. All i want is... U promise me u wont give up.."
Raghav inhaled a deep breath and a confident look formed on his face..
R: " i promise..", causing sammy to smile..
Next morning..
Raghav and sammy left for the place early morning.. They boarded a boat which was really small...
S: " wow.. This is awesome nah? I never travelled in a small boat like this..", he said excited looking around.
Raghav nodded..
S: " what happened mr boxer..oops.. I mean mr ex boxer?"
R: " no... Just thinking of.."
S: " dont tell me u r scared about kalpi...", he said giving a 'dont u dare look'..
R: " im not scared about kalpi.."
S: " then?"
R: " im scared about u... How u and pakhi..."
S: " ufff... Yeah.. That chudail... But what to do we need that chudail's help..."
R: " she is not a simple indian type of girl.."
S: " oh hello.. Are u trying to scare me? After all im not gonna marry that chudail... I just used her to bring u to ur love.."
R: " sammy, pakhi is a good girl.."
S: " hahaan.. Mr singhania pls concentrate on ur love story.. Dont try to initiate another for me..", he said uninterested..
R: " both are same...", he muttered softly..
S: " u said something?"
R: " nothing.. Nothing at all..."
While at the medical camp...
Pakhi was pacing here and there after receiving call from her father saying her gadha is coming there today with his friend...
K: " what happened pakhi?", she asked tired..
Pakhi told everything..
Pr: " wow.. Love story at medical camp..", he teased..
P: " i think ur love story is enough prem.. And u see i will beat him blue black and chase him away from here.."
K: " pakhi dont do such things.. Pls respect him and let him be.. Pls.. If not ur mom will kill u for misbehaving with him.."
P: " arrgghhh.. Fine.. I will try.. I repeat try to keep my anger.."
Pr: " that's impossible.."
P: " prem!!"
K: " ok..ok.. Now go back to work.."
