Part 8
It has been a week since that day when kalpi opened her heart out in front of her best friend pakhi...and seriously...she was feeling great...
She was smiling all the way when she wad thinking about pakhi...she has got a very caring friend in her...she was busy in thinking all this when her phone buzzed...it was a reminder she had set up to remind her that it was Pakhi'sPakhi's birthday the next day...it was 11:55 at night so she waited for 12 so that she could wish her best friend who stood by her side every time she needed someone...
The clock strucked 11:58...she called pakhi...pakhi was not sleeping...she was waiting for her near and dear ones to wish her on the most precious day of her life...when she got the call from she was really very happy...she has be...after all...her best friend has called...that to wish her...she picked the call...
P: hi kalpi...
K: hello pakhi...sorry to disturbdisturb you at this time...vo actually I hwve to ask you about your history project...
P:(in an an angry tone) at this time you have to ask about the project...
K: ya of course...actually. ..It's me...who has to help you with your history project...remember. ..
P: ya right...ask what you want to...
K: so...first of all tell me the topic..
P: ya it's...'Medivial Period. ...the period in which mughals were ruling...'
K: ok...I have lot of information regarding it...so...
P:can I keep the call now..??
The clock struched 12...
K: no wait..
P:anything else you want to ask...

(Kalpi and pakhi have birthday on same day...it was just a coincidence...it is not related from the show at all...parents of both of them have never met..)
K:hey...how you came to know...even I was not remembering...
P: That's why...I remembered...
K: (in low tone) thank you pakhi. ..
P: what happened kalpi? ?
K: vo actually...after aai's death I never celebrateed my birthday...actually...I miss my mom so much that I don't even want to remember about this day..
P: kalpi...you should not do like this...you know what...by doing this you are giving pain to your mom...you think...if she was alive...could she see you like this...being sad on your birthday...
K: I think you are correct...but..
P: but what kalpi...today is my birthday...my dad will throw a big party...and I want my best friend there...I am not going to listen any excuse...
K:but listen Pakhi...
P:no...I am keeping the phone...and you have to come...Bye

Then kalpi got a call from her baba...
K: hello baba...kya hua...koi kaam hai (what happened dad...any work)
V:happy birthday my princess
K: Thank you baba..
Pa(Pakya): happy birthday kalpu

V: accha beta...take care...I will call you tomorrow...

The call was over...she slept...
New day...new beginning...
Pakhi called kalpi once again to remind her about the party...kalpi was comng in the party on Pakhi'sPakhi's insistence...
Before party kalpi and pakhi went for shopping...though kalpi didn't like shopping but for Pakhi'sPakhi's sake she was there...
K: Pakhi...please take what you want fast...It'sIt's been three hours since we are roaming in this mall...
P: kalpi wait...I have to look the best na...
K: Pakhi...you always look best..
P: thanks for the compliment but still...hey I got it...
K:great...now let's go..
P: no way...what about you...I hope u remember that it is your birthday as well...
K: but I think you're forgetting...it is your birthday party...

Kalpi took one dress that was hanging and had q little less price. ..

They came out and went to Pakhi's house...actually the thing was pakhi did not want to take any risk..she wanted kalpi to come in the party...aftre all she was her best friend...so they went to Pakhi's house...
Party preparations were on full swing...it was birthday party of one of the top most businessman's daughter's birthday party...many business delegates were invited...this always happened...many of Sahil' s friends were called...it consisted many renowned businessmen, some politicians...and the superstar Raghav Singhania...he was also invited...though he was not Sahil's friend but he was the son of Sahil's best friend...yes...Raghav's dad was Sahil's best friend...they were friends since ages...it was Raghav's dad who always wished to become a successful businessman and sahil wished to be a filmstar...but ...destiny had something else...Raghav's dad became a film star and Sahil. A businessman...it was another thing that Raghav's dad could fulfil his dream when he grew old...but it was too late for Sahil...to fulfil his...(I hope you all would've understood the relationship between Sahil and raghav's dad...and the reason ...how Raghav could be invited...)
It was 7 in the evening...though the party was started but very few people were there...the reason was...the rich people's party always starts after an hour or two from the decided time...
Pakhi was getting ready in her room...and kalpi...she was also busy...but...not in getting ready...she is as busy studying in the corner of Pakhi's room...she was studying because due to the party her schedule was all disturbed...pakhi noticed this...
P: hey kalpi. ..what are you doing...just go and and get ready...we don't have much time..
K:(still looking in the book) ok pakhi. .
P: no ok..just go and get ready now..
K:(closing the book) see pakhi...I don't take much time in getting ready..it will take hardly 10-15 minutes...more over pakhi...what I think is...I shouldn't come...I don't belong to these parties and all...whats say?
P: no..you're coming and that's it...I know u don't like parties...but...please do it for your friend...
K:anything for you...I will go and get ready...
Kalpi went to change...she came out after five minutes...
P: ummm...looking good. ..and little touch ups and u r set to rock today...come sit here I will do the tit-bits required...
Pakhi dragged kalpi and made herher sit near the dressing table and started doing the makeups...
K: Pakhi please keep it light. .
P:what do you mean...
K: see pakhi. .I believe in one thing my parents have taught me...ALWAYS KEEP IT SIMPLE. .
P:ok fine...
Now the party was on full swing...many guests have come by now...but the most awaited guests especially by girls was yet to come...
Soon the wait was over...he was there at the door..and he was looking dashing in off White shirt wit a lose black tie and jet black jeans...girls could not stop themselves from drooling over him...
He came inside and straight away went to Sahil and Neetu...he bent down and touched their feet...they gave him blessings and thanked him for taking out time from his busy schedule and coming at the party...(They always saw their son in Raghav...and Raghav always saw his family in them...he always saw his sister in pakhi...though it is another thing he never called her so...and so was Pakhi)
R: why are you thanking me uncle...is this not my family...and pakhi...she would get angry if I had not come...remember last time...I didn't came and she was angry for a month...I could not bear her anger again. .
with this they all had a great laugh...soon the birthday girl was there at the stairs...the spot light was at her...but she was joined by someone else...it was kalpi...Sahil announced that today they will not only celebrate Pakhi's birthday but of Kalpi's as well...
Kalpi was surprised with this announcement...she gave a surprised look to pakhi...and a moment later she understood why pakhi was forcing her to come to the party and decorating her like a birthday cake...
She was broken from her thoughts...when Sahil further announced that kalpi is his daughter's best friend and like their own daughter...this was done to clear off the confusion in the guests' mind...
Both of them came downstairs with a spotlight following both the birthday girls...when they reached on the ground the lights were on and everyone was visible...and he was also visible...yes...the person kalpi hated...Raghav Singhania...kalpi didn't noticed him but he did...after all she was the girl looking out of the box in her simple yet elegant royal blue gown with her hair loose open and with minimal makeup and accessories...though kalpi was not used to these typu of dresses but due to the theme she has to...
Pakhi was also looking great (imagine her birthday dress from the show...I hope u all remember) ...kalpi noticed all the girls drooling over someone...she wasn't interested in the person over those girls could not take their eyes off...
Then came the blow...yes...Raghav Singhania came to wish pakhi and the other birthday girl...
R:(to pakhi) happy birthday sweetheart (it was said as a brother says to his sister)
P: Thank you so much..
R:will you not introduce me to your friend?
P:ya sure...Raghav this is kalpi..and kalpi you know him...right...
K: Pakhi...first of all its kalpana...not kalpi...and secondly I don't know him and I am not interested...
R: whoah..whoah...whoah...relax...playing it tough haan...interesting...
K: Pakhi...see he is your guest...please say him to be in his limits...and STAY AWAY FROM ME...Otherwise you don't know me...I am national level karate champion...I will give you one slash and all your 206 bones will be broken in 206 pieces...mind it...
P: Raghav please just go...or else...
R:or else what??
P: or else she will surely break you in pieces..
The convo was cut short when Sahil announced about the cake cutting...
Both the girls came and the birthday cakes also came...one of Pakhi's choice...a strawberry. ...and one of Kalpi's choice...a black forest...
Both of them cut the respective cakes...pakhi gave the first bite to her best friend kalpi and then to her dad and then mom...and then to Raghav
when kalpi cut the cake she gave the first bite to Neetu...she always got a mom in her...then to pakhi and then Sahil..
After this session was over...the dance started...everyone demanded for a performance from Raghav...kalpi went outside the hall as she was not interested in his dance at all...she went outside and sat on the chair kept in the garden...
The sky was clear...she could see numerous stars...but one star was shining a little brighter than before...she smiled looking over it...she always took that star as her mom..she knew it was shining little brighter because she was wishing her baby...
She smiled over it and thanked her mom for the blessings her mom was giving...she started talkingtalking to her..
K: Thank you aai...aai you know what...pakhi is really very good...she cares a lot for Me. I am really lucky to have her..aai. ..I miss you a lot...
Her trance was broken when pakhi cqme calling her...
P: kalpi what are you doing here. ..
Kalpi folded her hand and made an expression of ' I want an explanation'...
P: what...why are you looking like this..
K: do I need to telk anything? ?
P: ok I am sorry..I didn't tell you that I knew dad wanted to celebrate your birthday. ..
K: are you sure I am asking that??
P: ok fine...I knew that Raghav was going to come...actually I knew him since childhood..his dad and my dad wete best friends...
K: Pakhi...It's ok.
P: ok now come in ...
K: okk..
They both went inside...and heard a great round of applause...it was for RaghavRaghav who was still performing...when he was dancing something fell down...yes it was kalpi' s pendent...no one saw it except kalpi...the dance was over when she quickly went her way to the pendent...she quickly grabbed it and was very happy...until she felt that someone has snatched it back...it was Raghav...kalpi was really furious on this...
R: hey..thanks...and this is not yours...
kalpi snatched it back and said " don't you ever dare to take her thing.." it was then he realised that it were those same eyes...
R: you should thank me for keeping it safe...
k: no I shouldn't...
R: but I kept it safe...
K: because of you I have to stay far from it for so many days...if you wouldwould have not picked it that day..I would've got it that day itself. ...more over when I came to take it back you said you don't have it...remember. .
R: sorry for that day...
K: I don't accept sorry from anyone especially from a stranger
