Chapter 13

In the hospital

Seeing Kalpana Raghav's eyes were filled with tears as he finally saw her after a long time. He was looking at her with lots of concern, love, anger, mixture of emotion, and relief. He didn't even realize when Dr. Seth was asking if Raghav knew her. Raghav's trance broke when Dr. Seth touched Raghav's shoulder. Raghav looked at Dr. Seth and then Kalpana again then he realized that Kalpana was a patient and Dr. Seth was doing her treatment. "Why was Kalpana brought here?" Raghav asked, "What happened with her?" "Is she okay?" Raghav was showering hundreds of questions on Dr. Seth and wasn't even giving him a chance to talk. Raghav was restless seeing Kalpana lying on the bed. "Ok, calm down Mr. Singhania," Dr. Seth told him, "Seeing your situation, all I can say she is someone very close to you," He added, "Kalpana had her tests few days ago in this hospital," "We got her all the reports in this morning and tried to contact her but couldn't as her phone was switched off. "Thank God she is here." "Actually, Ms. Kalpana has brain tumor." "What did you say?" Raghav immediately asked, "Brain tumor" "Did I hear correctly," Raghav said with broken heart. "Yes, Mr. Singhania, you heard it right," Dr. Seth said. "Then why are you waiting for, start your treatment." "It's is not as simple as you are thinking." Dr. said, "Her condition is very critical," "If we operate her tumor, there might be a risk." "R...R...Risk?" Raghav said with his voice breaking down. "Yes." Dr. Seth said and continued, "There would be fifty-fifty chance after operation," Dr. Seth said, "She might stay alive or die. After operation if she regains her consciousness it means she is out of danger but if she doesn't then..." Raghav didn't let him complete the sentence and said, "No, I can't let this happen." "What if she doesn't operate?" "Then she will have to suffer from intolerable headaches, eye vision and memory loss." Hearing Dr. Seth Raghav felt weak as his knees were shaking and said, "No Dr. Seth, I can't see her in so much pain," Raghav lowered his head and held it with his hands with frustration. Then he held Kalpana's hand and looked at her with concerned and said, "I Won't Let Anything Happened to You As Long As I Live, "Saying so a tear escaped from his eyes. "I will appoint all the best surgeons of the world to do your surgery."

Singhania Constructions

"Raghav, I am very sad seeing Kalpana in this state, I also want her to get better treatment, but for that why do you have to go with her physically to USA, Why don't you send her with someone else." "You don't even know how long it might take. We had been working on some projects since four months and we are almost starting to end. You might lose all the deals!" Sammy said. Hearing Sammy, Raghav said "I am ready to lose them but won't be able to see Kalpana's life starting to end." "I have to be with Kalpana each and every moment. I can't take any risk with sending others as I know no one can be as caring as I am for Kalpana." "You know what Sammy," Raghav continued, "I didn't know when she became an important person in my life. God sent her in my life as an angel. She is the only person in my entire life that did everything from her heart for me unconditionally. She was always there for me in all my critical conditions. We have a strange connection in between. We both were totally strangers to each other. How little we knew each other but it seems to me that we knew each other for years. Whenever I was in trouble, she was there for me. Whenever she was in problem I was there for her. We are incomplete without each other. Seeing her state today; I have realized that she means a lot to me. She never makes me feel lonely. I don't know what relation we carry but she is the only one with whom I feel alive. I can't bear to lose her by any cost..." Hearing Raghav, a tear escaped from Sammy's eyes and said, "You go my friend, I will handle everything here." saying so both friends hugged each other.

In USA

Kalpana was admitted in Mount Sinai Hospital. Before Kalpana was taken to the OT, Raghav held her hand and said, "I will see you soon," as he had a strong belief that nothing would happen to her and she will come back to him.

Raghav was waiting outside of OT and praying to God from his heart for her life. After few hours, doctors came outside and told Raghav that operation was successful and now we need to wait for her to regain her consciousness. Kalpana was taken back to her cabin. Raghav was sitting beside her bed holding her hand. Each passing minute seemed like an hour for him. As time passed his heartbeat was running very fast. He became restless as it's been long time and Kalpana has not regained consciousness yet. He kept asking the doctors that why she is not opening her eyes yet. Raghav couldn't see her in this situation and left the cabin immediately. He was suffocating. It seemed like someone was taking his breath away from him. He was sitting on a bench outside of the hospital. He was losing his hope slowly as time was passing. He recalled his moments with Kalpana and started crying thinking of losing her. He was in such deep thoughts that he didn't realize when the nurse came out and kept calling him by his name. He heard when nurse said, "Mr. Singhania, Ms. Kalpana opened her eyes." Hearing her, it seemed like Raghav got his life back. Raghav looked at the nurse with happiness and exclaimed, "She did!" "Yes she did." Nurse said smiling. "She really did it?" Raghav asked her again with a smile. "Yes, let's go, doctor wants to talk t..." but Raghav didn't let her complete her sentence and left from there.

Raghav ran to the cabin and stopped at the door. His eyes were closed. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at Kalpana through the door window. He was standing there for few minutes and wiped his tears and then finally entered into the room. Kalpana looked at the door hearing the door open. Kalpana was shocked to see the person she loved the most in front of her. On the other hand Raghav was looking at her with mixture of emotions. They were looking at each other for a long time. They locked their eyes onto each other and started thinking. Kalpana said in her mind, I wish I could tell you how much I am happy to see you here. I wish I could run to you and hug you tightly to relieve all my pain staying this long without you. I wish I could tell you how much I missed you. I wish I could tell you how much I love you. On the other Raghav said in his mind, I wish I could tell you what I felt seeing you in that condition. I wish I could tell you I got my life back seeing you okay. I wish I could hug you tightly to take all your pain. I wish I could tell you I missed you like hell. I wish I could tell you what I felt when you left me alone.

"How dare you!" Raghav shouted. Hearing Raghav, Kalpana lowered her eyes remembering Raghav hatred toward Kalpana because of that night. "How dare you Kalpana!" Raghav said again "How dare you leave the house without saying me anything!" "How dare you leave me Kalpana!" Kalpana was confused and looked at him now. He was not upset because of that night? Kalpana thought. Hearing Raghav shout nurse rushed to the room and said, "The patient is still sick, you can't talk to her like this." Hearing nurse, Raghav said, "Would you please leave us alone?" "And you don't have to tell me how am I going to talk to her," "I know very well how I am going to handle her." Nurse left the room left Ragna alone.

Raghav pulled a chair toward Kalpana's bed and fixed himself on the chair and held her hand and said in a demanding tone, "I still need an answer Kalpana," "I know this is not the right time but I couldn't resist myself," "I searched for you almost everywhere," "Last time you saw me in the farm house when I was so disturbed. How could you leave me in that state when I needed you the most? I didn't even remember when you left. Were you hurt for some reason that you had to leave?" Kalpana thought in her mind, he didn't remember that we slept together. That's why he is talking to me so normally. "I am sorry," Kalpana said "Not to let you know before leaving." "Where were you Kalpana? Raghav asked with concerned "Was everything alright with you?" Hearing him Kalpana remembered how cruel village people were on her and her eyes were filled with tears. Seeing Kalpana's tears, Raghav felt pain in his heart, without wasting any time he pulled her into his arm taking all her pain in him. Kalpana couldn't hold her tear and started crying in his arm, the place she feels the safest. They don't know how long they were like this. They felt peace in each other's arm.

Mumbai

Singhania Mansion

Raghav brought Kalpana to Raghav's house. She didn't want to come but Raghav was so adamant that Kalpana couldn't deny but in her mind she had an urge to meet her son. Opening the door, Kalpana's eyes were searching here and there for her son. But he was nowhere. "Kalpana," saying so Raghav pulled Kalpana by her hand toward a room "let me show you something," and stopped "This is the best gift God has given me in my life," Raghav said pointing to their child. Holding the baby Raghav said "Mera jaan," "My son Aarav." Raghav rubbed his nose to his son's causing the baby to smile. Seeing both father and son happy, Kalpana said in her mind, "And this is the best gift I have ever had," a tear escaped from her eyes.

Raghav was taking good care of Kalpana and Aarav as Kalpana was still sick. She needed medicine and food on time that's why Raghav stayed home this whole week. Time passed like this. Kalpana got cured in few days. Kalpana was happy. She doesn't need to be away from her son anymore. She will be able to raise her son. On the other hand Raghav felt complete now.

Kalpana started going to college again. Raghav got busy with his office again. But Raghav and Kalpana managed some time to spend for three of them together as it doesn't matter how busy they are. On the weekend they spend time by going for shopping, watching movies, going out for dinner, and long drive. Day by day their bonding grew stronger. Their Strange Bond.

One evening, Kalpana served dinner and then went to her room to call Raghav as both father and son were playing on her bed. Kalpana saw both of them were sleeping on her bed. Kalpana sat on her bed and was about to wake him up but stopped seeing him sleeping peacefully. She didn't know how long she was looking at his face. Then she felt tired and fell asleep beside Aarav. Raghav, Aarav and then Kalpana were sleeping peacefully on the same bed, in one room, under one roof.

Chapter 14

One evening Raghav was working on his laptop in the living room while Kalpana was playing with her son Aarav on the floor. Kalpana was laughing at any movement of Aarav. Hearing her laughing Raghav looked at Kalpana and was lost in her beauty, her large almond-shaped dark eyes, her beautiful lips, her smile... He didn't know how long he was like this. This was the first time he was looking at her like this. He felt something different in his heart. His trance broke when his phone rang. Then he realized what he was doing. He started working again. His work got distracted with her laugh again. He couldn't resist himself looking at her again. Then he left the living room and rushed to his bedroom. Closing the door, he asked himself in his mind what he was doing. Thanks God Kalpana didn't notice it.

Since that day Raghav has started to grow new feeling for Kalpana and Raghav still doesn't know what this feeling is for. Two days ago when Kalpana was making roti in the kitchen, When Raghav saw her struggling with her hair as few strands of hair were bothering her coming in front of her face and could not help herself as her both hands were covered with ata. Raghav walked up to her and moved her hair behind her ear with his fingers slowly. Doing the process his finger touched her skin. Both of them were lost in each other. His eyes then fell on her cheek as there were some ata. He then moved his finger to her cheek and started wiping slowly. His eyes were stuck into her eyes without blinking while wiping her cheek. He didn't realize when he wiped out her ata and still his fingers were on her cheek.

Singhania constructions

Raghav was working on a presentation. All on a sudden his mind diverted somewhere else. Yes he was thinking about Kalpana and smiling. In the meantime Sammy rushed into the cabin and looked at Raghav. Seeing Raghav smiling, Sammy said, "Kya baat hain Raghav?" "Ajkaal khoya khoya se rahatey hon." Hearing Sammy, Raghav said, "No, nothing." "Did you finish checking the presentation I gave you?" Sammy said. "No" Raghav said, "I didn't finish yet." Hearing Raghav, Sammy said with frustration, "What?" "I gave you the presentation two hours ago and still you are saying you didn't finish yet." "We need to present this presentation in half an hour." Why are you taking so much tension Sammy?" Raghav said with ease, "Postpone the meeting for two hours." Hearing Raghav, Sammy said "It means you didn't even check the single line of the presentation?" Without replying Sammy, Raghav started working on the presentation.

One day Kalpana was getting ready for her college. Today she wore a white with golden border jorjet saree with the matching jewelry as she needed to participate the farewell of the final year. Kalpana went to Raghav's room to tell him that she is leaving as always she does. Raghav looked at her as she was looking so beautiful. Raghav was lost in her and said, "Beautiful..." Hearing Raghav, Kalpana widened her eyes. Raghav quickly took over and said, "No, I mean this is the first time I saw you in this saree and you are looking different." "Okay Kalpana, see you later." Then Kalpana left for collage.

Raghav was waiting for Kalpana in the living room pacing back and forth. He knew he had a new feeling for Kalpana and he also liked it.

Kalpana got out from collage and was looking for the driver. Suddenly she felt someone tapping on her shoulder. Kalpana turned her head and said, "Raghav ji aap yaha?" "Oh, actually I was feeling board at home so I thought of picking you up," Raghav said.

In The Car

While Raghav was driving he suddenly stopped and said, "Oh let's eat ice cream!" "From roadside?" Kalpana said, "This is not hygienic as you said." Raghav opened the door and pulled Kalpana by her arm and said, "I don't care, let's eat!" Raghav took two ice creams and said, "Let's walk for a while as I don't feel like going home now."

They were walking in the park as the park was very empty and quiet. They were talking and enjoying their ice cream. As they were walking they didn't realize how far they went. All of a sudden it started to rain. Kalpana looked up into the sky and was enjoying the rain while Raghav was staring at her. Kalpana started jumping on a puddle but didn't realize Raghav was in front of her. Kalpana opened her arms wide and started going in circles feeling the rain drops on her. Kalpana was fully drenched. Her figure was fully visible through her saree. Raghav started walking slowly toward her... (To Be Continued...)

Omg 😲 kya baat hai farhana😉 bade romantic scene likh ho rahe hain pati dev nay kush kiya hai Swara ko 😆 😉 so poor kalpi had tumour and thank God rags found ger and helped her.
