Raghav was dressed in a perfect Royal way. Today he is going to city not just for meeting the officials but to make a way for his friendship with Kalpi. He smirked.
He already had a word with officials and knew the work won't take more than an hour or two. The drive to the city is just one hour. So taking a round trip and meeting into consideration they will be busy for just 4 hours given the fact that Makkhan is going with them and he cannot talk with Kalpi before him. Leaving this 4 hours Kalpi we still have a good 4 to 5 hours. Lets see how will you stop me to approach you.
"When does things go as per planning they always work on his direction" Dada Guruji said with a smile on his face pointing towards God. Madhav noticed his expressions...he didn't look tensed...then what exactly he meant to say. He thought over Guru Dadaji's confusing words.
Kalpi was taking exceptionally extra time to get ready. Its not for the first time she is having any meeting with officials but this time it was different. Her Kunwarji was accompanying her and she didn't want to look just okay. She took care of those small lil things while dressing up. After looking at herself for the last time in the mirror she collected the files and handbag and came downstairs.
"Where are you Kalpi?" wondered Raghav. "I hope you are not planning to ditch me." He was waiting for her in his house.
"Where are you going Kalpana?" An authoritative tone asked.She stopped in her tracks and turned. "Babasa...I am...I am going to city. There is a meeting with officials regarding school project." "Is he accompanying you." She lowered her head. His frustration grew more, as much as he wanted to keep his daughter away from Kunwarji situations give him chance to come closer to his daughter. "Kakasa" Kalpi raised her head and turned to find Raghav standing at the door. He came inside and before Munimsa can ask anything he continued "Kakasa Kalpana has been handling the project till date and this is my first meet with the officials. After getting the grip on the overall project she won't have to accompany me everytime."
Bound by duty he resentfully said yes for the visit. Before leaving the door she stopped when heard "Omkaar is coming" There was a seriousness in his voice which carried the meaning he wanted to express before Kalpana. She was happy to hear the news but soon it faded away on seeing the stern look on her fathers face.
Raghav was trying hard to remember who Omkar is. The name sounded familiar. He thought a lot and finally remembered he is Kalpana's brother fondly called Omi by his Maasa. "Omi is coming to town. This is a great piece of News but Kakasa's expression was sating some other story. Kalpi too was happy but her face turned pale on seeing the sternness on her father's face. Theres something more than what meets the eye." "Shall we" he asked Kalpi and she nodded.
The drive towards city was a silent affair. She didn't speak much and he pondered more on the subject before his consideration 'Omkar Singh' the man who is Kalpi's elder brother. There was something going on in Kakasa's mind but what is it exactly he has to find out. Are they going to marry her off to some guy so that she stays away from me forever. Is this what they are planning. No...he cannot do this. He looked at Kalpi who was going through the papers to be presented before the officials. She is mine...just mine...nobody can take her away from me. I knew I had to lead a fight against my family and her father but it seems her brother will also stand up against me. I'll take them all but won't allow anyone to take Kalpi away from me.
They were seated in a chilled AC room and the coolness was relaxing the tense nerves of Raghav. All the plans that he had made for himself and for Kalpi drowned in the bitter truth that more than his father Kalpana's father is against their relationship..He now understood what is stopping Kalpi from being friends with him...'Kakasa.'
The meeting went well as Kalpi had done all the necessary work. Raghav listened to her intently taking in all the important points. The school area needed to be increased to bring in more avenues related to school like a small play ground, library. Also the school needs to be reconstructed and in the mean time there needs to be done a temporary establishment arrangement for the academic year to go on smoothly. The plan was approved and rest other things were to be taken care off by Raghav's staff. After all most two hours the meeting got over.
The day started gloomily but he decided to take the call. He cannot leave any stone un turned. "Kalpana lets take lunch" On seeing a little hesitation growing on he face he said "I am feeling very hungry." She gave in and both if them went for lunch.
"So Kalpi by the time order comes will you tell me something about your life." "Well there is nothing much to know about my life." "Thats what you feel not me by the way as far as my memory goes you didn't stay in the town. Did you." "No...I stayed with my grand parents" "Hmmm may be thats the reason you way of living and style is competely different from others in the town. By why did Kakasa kept you away from himself. I mean you and Omi I don't remember any of our childhood memory together. " "Well when I visited town to see Babasa during vacations you used enjoy your vacations somewhere else...may be that why and regarding our staying away from Babasa...my mother died when I and Bhaisa were kids" She was almost on the verge of tears unable to complete her sentence. Raghav kept a comforting hand on hers and caressed it. He cursed himself for initiating this topic. "I am sorry I didn't mean to hurt nor did I meant to re open the old memories...I am extremely sorry." "Its ok" was all that she managed to say.
Lunch was placed and it was a silent affair. He knew he had started off with a wrong note. He wanted to engage her in a conversation but didn't want to hurt which he unknowingly did. After finishing lunch Raghav before giving her a chance to speak said "I need to place some order for my gym and need to buy some stuff as well. I hope you won't mind spending few more hours with me." She had no option to deny though she knew they come to city everyday for office and he can do these work other days too but at the end he is Royal.
They both went to the places mentioned by Raghav but much to his dismay nothing was going according to his plan. Like a mute spectator she was following him everywhere and gave an occasional yes or no when asked but never initiated the conversation. "Your hesitation and this stubborness cleay reflects how much afraid you are in going against you father's wishes. I hav to think work really hard to win you. Leaving them aside firstly I have to win your friendship coz I know you trust me but too scared to start any relationship with me.
After they were done with all the misc stuff that Raghav gave importance today the set forth their journey for the town again. "Makkhan chaliye" "Ji...but there is a problem." Raghav grimaced on listening the word problem.This is the last thing he wanted to listen after having a disastrous failure of his planning. "What" "The usual way has been closed down due to fatal accident that took place half hour before. I just now heard it on radio. The autborities are reaching there to start rescue operation and hence we will have to take a different route." "Makhan the other route will amlost take four hours to reach" "I know baisa but there is no other option if we will leave by now we will be at home by 11"
"Okay C'mon lets go." Raghav said being highly disappointed with himself. They sat in and took the other direction for the town unknown to the fact that their relation from this night is going to change forever because the day was going as per GOD's planning and his planning can never fail.
"Planning... this word sometimes seems like a jargon to me when used in corporate world but it seems more off like a maze when it comes to personal life. Honestly speaking in my life planning has always taken a U-turn at the last minute and nothing goes according what I have PLANNED I don't know why but planning and I never go hand in hand."
Similar is the case of Raghav here. This guy planned out a complete day out and himself started the day on a wrong not thus allowing Kalpi to shut herself behind the walls she has already created for herself to stay away from him. After that she didn't budge at all. All hi attempts went futile and when he thought to start planning another thing to get Kalpi he finds himself in another problem. The road that leads them to their home is blocked and now the road they are taking will take good amount of time. He wants to ponder over the ways he can reach to Kalpi but certainly the things are going out of his control. If Kalpi's father was not enough one more person in the form of Kalpi's brother is coming to join the list of people who will be against their relationship.
But people forget one very important thing if things are not going according to your way better its going according to HIS way.
