As Shahanya finished the story of how herself and Chahel met and how they got together, Neetu started laughing. Shahanya started smiling and Chahel glared at the both of them. Neetu saw his glare but couldn't control her laughter.
Neetu : Seriously Dad.. You really were such an annoying baby..
Shahanya : See Chahel.. Even ur daughter agrees to it..
Chahel : I am not a BABY..
Both the ladies started laughing again and fell from their seats continuing their laughter leaving Chahel to think as to wht sin did commit as to marry a lady like Shahanya and to have a daughter like Neetu..
That day, I really didn't feel like going to work. I had this weird feeling that something bad was going to happen. I decided to take a stroll in the woods since evil step-mom and step-sister were busy with some stupid good-for-nothing party of theirs.. Just like them.. Gud-for-nothing... I left hell and went to the jungle. I remembered Raghav's words about the jungle and its dark parts but then I thought,"Who is he to tell me where I should go and where I shouldn't.. I will go inside." I had to pat myself for the brave words I thought because it was really dark inside and not even the sun's rays could bring light to the jungle. Its Dehradun and you usually don't see sunlight in such a cold place as Dehradun. I hoped that I don't encounter those weird cloaked figures today.. Total Weirdos.. I heard a scratching sound. Was there someone else besides me in this place ?? I went in search of this sound and heard a howl.. Well, that certainly wasn't a dog.. I went further in search of the sound.
The sounds came nearer and I went to the nearest tree and peeped from behind it. My eyes widened. They were huge.. Really huge.. They were tall and huge. Animals !! They were animals that were huge and fierce. My voice choked in my throat. I turned around to run away. I accidently step on a twig. Perfect !! Those animals had long ears. They surely must have heard it.. And Damn, was I right... I heard growls from behind and ran for my life.. I wished and hoped Raghav was here. He would have surely saved me. Speaking of him, where was he when I needed him !!!! The beasts were too fast for me. My stole flew down and I bent to retrieve it as fast as I could. I almost turned back when one of the beasts scratched my arm lightly. I held my arm and screamed in pain. I looked at the beast with tears in my eyes. It stared back at me. Did it just widen it eyes ?? Well Kalpi.. This probably isn't the right time to think about that. Run for ur life.. I turned and ran away looking back to see if the beast followed me. Surprisingly it didn't. The more surprising thing was that it stopped the other beats from running behing me.. Wow.. Now that's strange. Which carnivore animal stops it friends from running after its prey ?? Well, whatever it is, am glad that I escaped from being the meal of a few beasts..
I went home and shut the door of my room. I threw my stole on my bed and thought,"That jungle just starts to get weirder and weirder the moment I step into it." My arm stung a lot. Damn those beasts. I washed the injury and applied ointment on it. I thought over about the beasts. They were really very huge. I've never seen creatures as huge as them. And one of the beasts widened its eyes at me. That was really weird. What bothered me more was that it stopped the other beasts from attacking me.. I got ready for work since I really didn't want to listen to evil step-mom and step-sister bleating like goats in the name of singing.. They seriously need some intensive training. I reached the work venue and was surpised to see Raghav was there. He had the usual smirk on his face but it kind of didn't reach his eyes. I quickly went down to show my face to Mistress as was the daily habit. I came up and went and stood beside Raghav. I tripped on the rug that was there and fell into a strong pair of arms. I stared into those pools of chocolate that I've grown to like and adore.
Raghav : Do you have Tripping Sickness or do you do this in presence of any handsome guy such as myself.
Now he was really pissing me off. I definitely don't go tripping and falling over handsome men. But I cnt help but agree that he is handsome. I got up a bit. He let his hand slip over to the place where the beast had scratched me and I cried out in pain. Raghav removed his hand in a second. I held my arm in pain, my eyes shut and lips pursed. He looked at me with hard eyes and pulled me with the other hand on to the couch. I sat down, not taking my arm away and my eyes shut. I slowly opened my eyes. I took my hand away from my arm and slowly opened the cloth I had tied around the injury to withstand the blood flow and the pain. His eyes fell on my arm and his eyes started to harden. I didn't notice his eyes turn blue since I was busy tending to my arm. He closed his eyes and breathed. His hands were shivering slightly. He opened his eyes. I looked at him and saw blue eyes before the blue suddenly disappeared. I seriously needed to get this Blue Phobia out of my head.
He looked at my arm again and his eyes turned angry. He pulled me up with my other arm and asked..
Raghav : How did this happen ?
Kalpi : No.. Noth.. Nothing.. Its nothing..
Raghav : Tell me Miss. Kalpana !!
Kalpi : I scratched myself against the door in my house.
Raghav : Don't lie to me Miss. Kalpana. As far as I know, the doors of ur house are smooth enough to not scratch anyone.. Tell me the truth..
Kalpi : Why ??
Raghav (tightens his grip) : Because I am ur Boss and I ask you to..
Kalpi (In pain) : Fine !!! I went to the jungle..
Raghav (Tightens grip again) : WHAT !!!
Kalpi (In pain) : Will u stop tightening ur grip around my other arm. It pains and I dnt want my other arm to get injured too.. Seriously, u're worse than those beasts..
DAMN !!! There goes it.. I've let it slip from my mouth. Now am never going to hear the end of it..
Whoooshhh !!! Cliff-Hanger !!! 😉 I love stopping with cliff-hangers.. It makes u guys curious... That's y I've stopped at this point..
