Finally Kalpana reached the venue.. the huge white mansion decorated with lights.. the ambience filled with slow music and dim-lights everything looked just beautiful.. just the way he wanted it to be..
Kalpana looked downwhile sitting in the backseat as her mind flew back to those days when she was welcomed with open arms by this very place..
The driver opened the back seat door and called out "Ma'am" which broke her trance.. She looked up and nodded her head slightly..Picking up her silver clutch that looked perfect with her white coloured designer saree she got down the car.. The driver closed the door behind her and followed her while holding the gifts..
With each step the knot in her heart became tighter .. the past memories came gushing in her head one by one...
With anger filled eyes Ashutosh's father Mr.Raichand yelled ,"Didn't you hear what the panditji said?? This marriage won't happen and that's it" .. Holding Kalpi's hand Ashutosh walked towards his father and said ,"I did dad.. I heard him say that this marriage will be a danger for my life .. (looking towards Kalpi) and I'd die with Kalpi near me rather than live away from her"...
Kalpana reached at the entrance of the mansion..With welled up eyes she looked around at the familiar atmosphere amd remembered the celebrations that happened just before the fateful day..
The house that was once filled with Ashutosh and Paakhi's screams.. the house where just a day before everyone was dancing to beats of music all excited for the upcoming marriage was now filled with silence and sorrow...
Kalpana was sitting like a lifeless corpse near his body which was covered by white cloth.. The tears in her eyes dried.. Just days before she was the happiest person as she was about to marry her love her Ashu and today fate changed everything.. all her dreams were washed off.. her heart was broken into pieces.. The doctor's words still echoing in her ears ,"Ms.Jadhav he is no more.."
She reached the threshold and paused before letting her foot forward as she remembered the last day when she came here...
"You took my son away.. get lost from here and never dare to come back", Mr.Raichand said while harshly pulling Kalpi by her arm.. he pushed her outside the door and banged it on her face...
"Kalpana", an elderly woman's voice brought Kalpi out of her trance... "Maa ji", Kalpi said with a warm smile and bent down to take the woman's blessing.. "Come on in..", the woman said .. she walked forward and noticed that Kalpi wasn't with her .. she turned back and while lovingly placing her hand on Kalpi's head said," Beta come on"..
They both entered the house .. Kalpi gestured the driver to place the gifts near the table where all other gifts where kept and then she went with Gauri towards the bride's room.. While going near the stairs she met many familiar faces .. all Ashutosh's relatives who warmly welcomed her..
Looking at Kalpi's smiling face Gauri thought, "I may not understand what you're going through right now but I surely can feel it.. Your sorrow was much bigger than ours Kalpi.. we lost a son that day but you.. you lost everything you had.. the only person whom you could call your own left you.. but I'm happy that atleast today momentarily you've forgetten the past and smiled like you used to... "
Kalpi was busy greeting everyone when suddenly someone engulfed her in a tight hug... "Kalpi di you came...thanks a lot..", the girl said while hugging Kalpi..
Kalpi held the girl's hand and broke the hug and said while narrowing her eyes ,"Oh so now you gonna become formal with me.. thank you and all ha??", the girl in front of her bit her tongue ..
While cupping her cheek Kalpi said," Teri shaadi aur mein na aati aisa ho hi nahi sakta..Aaakhir mein toh...",Kalpi paused before saying sis-in-law and continued," Tu toh mere behen jaisi hai na...", Paakhi noticed the tears in Kalpi's eyes ..which were just like those in her own...
While cupping her cheek Kalpi said,"It's you marriage and I won't come .. impossible... atlast you're my...",Kalpi paused before saying sis-in-law and continued," You're like my sister na.." Paakhi noticed the tears in Kalpi's eyes ..which were just like those in her own...
Just then Kalpi was taken away by Gauri and Paakhi by some other girls who were readying her for her marriage ...
While walking upstairs Paakhi looked back at Kalpi and thought, "How much ever you try di you can't hide those tears .. You can never hide the love you still have for Ashu bhaiyya..All of us came over the loss and now I just wish that like us you too move on in life.. I really wish someone comes in your life who'll heals all your wounds..."

"Ready Sammy..", Raghav asked in a stern voice while standing at the door of Sammy's room.. "Hmm..", Sammy said while nodding his head in agreement.. Taking his pagdi Sammy walked towards his brother...
Both of them went downstairs... The day which was supposed to be filled with happiness was now not.. It was supposed to be the day when the two boys of the house would get married but today it was only one of them getting married..
"Bhai you may have effortlessly pulled up this mask of Angry young man before others but I can still see that hurt broken hearted Raghav.. you can fake that you've moved on but I know you haven't.. I just wish that someone helps you in doing that.. someone fills your life with the love you craved for.. I wish someone changes you back to my old fun-loving Raghav bhaiyya.. the one before Reena left you.."
P.S Just to clarify.. The prologue incident was about 2-3 months before the present.. This part is just to show what Raghav and Kalpi's mindset is just before they meet..
