I guess being from films he has a lot of experiencing talking to the press. He was smart in not coming back to the show. He knew fans would get angry and he would get negative PR.

This is just a curiosity question, so I could be wrong, but I got the impression Ashish was trying to say he's from films and didn't know people from TV. But didn't he start his career from television (Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye etc.) and then moved to films 😕

The serial was about 14 years ago and was not a daily soap I guess and had limited number of episodes. He has been working in films since then and so has many friends from the industry as well as TV as well like Amir Ali and he has mentioned those names in this interview as well. 😊
