Barely a month after replacing the original lead couple " Ashish Chowdhry and Rachana Parulkar " with Asha Negi and Kunal Verma, the channel has decided to pull the plug on Ek Mutthi Aasmaan.

The show will end on September 12. A new storyline and new lead couple failed to pump up the ratings of the daily series. Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who made her acting debut on the small screen with the family drama, says, "Yes, it will be an abrupt ending. I'm sad and disappointed. We did the best we could to improve the ratings. The show had to end some day, but it has happened too soon. We could've gone on for one more year. While I got positive feedback from the viewers, the show couldn't rake in great numbers. I'm secretly hoping for a miracle to happen, but the word is final."


Does she feel the recent change in the cast didn't go down well with the viewers? "It would be wrong to hold one person responsible. The new actors didn't get enough time to establish themselves," she reasons. Ask her if she understands the number game better now and she replies, "I still don't and never wish to understand the game. I just want to do good work."

Completely agree the show cannot sustain just for the actors but it did when RagNa was there!

Even then viewers did not like the story or could not relate to it but we watched the crap just for RagNa!!!! They did carry the whole show only to be thrown out of the show after being berated as bad actors! Now pay the price Kamla!

chalo i wil tell u.. actually kamala took lots of efforts baba.. u don't kno.. she learned auto dance, she gave lots of creative ideas such as opening cafe cm dhaba n using kalpi as waitress, den without doing any rona dhona abt kalpi's death jagan mata kamala became mother of 1 more rich child n again became 1 n only smart kamvali bai😎
dey took lots of effort to show creativity in der show but becharone paracetamol tablet itne khaye the ki dey forgot difference between crap n creativity😃

n result hamare samne hai.. only 10 episodes 😆😆😆
