I know how that feels. during my college days, I tutored a very stubborn girl, who hated math and used to get anything between 35-47% depending on the difficulty of the tests. Once I started tutoring and taking her practice tests, her first score in class was 65% and that was enough for her to feel motivated to do better.
During her 8th grade half-yearly she scored 75% on her math paper. I was beyond elated.
I love these kind of stories.

Teaching is a very rewarding profession and can be quite addictive at the same time. I say, go for it. Just keep some time for the creative juices to flow.. coz your readers are addicted to you 😉
