I agree with Dianne ...Love is not which has on and off button ...I think Kalpi very well understands the situation that Rags is in ...she has been away from her mother and knows how it feels and she understands what Rags is going through at this point .

She knows that even though he has not completely believed on what she has said ,he somewhere in is heart is very clear that Kalpi will not lie to him and will not do anything for money or for any reason .I think that is the reason he was just thinking about all that happened when he went to his room .

He did support her in front of this mother and he is very clear with this thought that it is only one year that he is going to be away from his Kalpi and after that no one can stop him ,even his mother's melodrama also .

In real life if someone would leave me at the alter I would not see him again ,but would still not be able to love someone the way I do to that person and over a period the love that I have for that person in my heart will kill the pain of the fact that he had left me at the alter .

these are my views ,people would differ and I respect all the others views too
