kalpi was packing her things to leave the house, she couldn't stay there anymore. she had tolerated everything but now she will not stand for this. she remembered all the suffering she's been thru, her mother in law insults, raghav not believing her and her losing Rani. everything was too much, for her. she quickly wrote a note and quietly walk out the house so raghav wouldn't hear her. once she was out she walk to the nearest bus stop heading back to her village.
Raghav woke up the next day, thinking kalpi was sleeping right next to him. he reached his hand to pull her closer, but he only felt the bed sheet. opening his eyes he looks at the spot where she usually sleeps when he didn't find her he started panicking. he quickly got up heading to the bathroom to see if she was there, when he didn't find her he walks downstairs thinking she might be making breakfast, he called her name but their was no response. just when he was about to go upstair the doorbell rang. he walk towards it and the mail man gave him his mail.
once he got it he look over them, he saw a letter that says lawyer on it. he opens it and reads it. while reading it his hands started shaking. he threw the paper on the floor and hit anything that was next to him. he didn't care if his hand was bleeding, the pain in his heart was to much for him to bare. falling on the floor he cried, shouting her name out loud. gauri hearing some noise went downstairs to see raghav on the floor, his hands bleeding and he was shouting kalpi name over and over.
" raghav, what is it." she asks when raghav didn't say anything she saw the letter raghav had and quickly snatch it. she quickly reads it, once done she was also shock but happy at the same time.
she puts the letter down and told raghav to go up stairs and take care of his hand. he didn't get up at first but then did when his mom said it again. once he got in his room, he was about to lay down on the bed when a note fell in front of him. he pick it up and was about to put it on the table when he saw his name. he unfold the note and reads it.
Dear Raghav,
I'm sorry i have to leave you. I just can't live this life anymore, when i lost rani thats when i made my decision. i thought you would believe me when i said i didn't murder our daughter, but you didn't. you insulted me so much, but i still stayed with you because i love you. yes raghav i realise now how much i love you. I thought you had change but after Rani died you went back to your old ways. I know you don't really hate me, you only said that to hide your pain and suffering. you can't let go just like how i can't forget her. It was hard for me to do this especially filling out the divorce papers, but this is for the best, after all this was your plan in the first place. Now you are free, you don't have to worry about me anymore, you can live the life i took from you. while reading the note, raghav saw a wet spot on the next line, he knew kalpi was crying. he puts his hands on the spot, it was still wet, he rubs it of and puts it on his forehead. tears starting to rise from his eyes, clogging his vision. he quickly wiped it away and continues reading the note.
please don't look for me, even if you do i won't come back to you. lastly, don't do anything crazy. and please forget about me.
raghav sat on the bed and cries. then he says " how can i forget about you when you already contaminated my mind. everywhere i turn and everything i touch reminds me of you." he says😭
