In a normal life a girl who has been suffering like Kalpi would have had a nervous breakdown! She would have been psychologically affected and would be on the verge of madness!
This is too much pressure in such a small span of time on a young woman!
I mean neglect from her mother, to false charges against her, to be forced to work as a maid and yet get punished by her mom, to be sent to the hostel at a tender age, then to have to share everything with a so called milk sister!
And then the result fiasco, insults and humiliation at office, crazy loverboy chase and being forced to confess love by constant pestering, humiliation by the police, then another let down by her own mother on her engagement! And just when we thought what could be worse than this, comes another blow to her that her so called lover boy who chipkaoed his love on her leaves her at altar and comes back to show her that he is married to her,the one n only milk sister!
And then he shamelessly proceeds to continue chasing her because: "He" cannot live without her! She further bears all the taunts from her fellow chawl people, and then is made to live with her loverboy's sworn enemies!
Is this all? No she has to face them every other day! She comes across Paakhi who carries all symbols of the newlywed bride and has to go through that torture too. Whilst her mother consoling her poo too who happily jumped off to get married to Raghav without even being bothered to call her so called Kamla maa for the wedding!
Just as she is recovering from her shock Mr Loverboy threatens her with the suicide attempt to call her to the temple and get married to her by coloring her head in red! And sends off the red head home to wait for him for a year because she has no other thing to do!
Alright now she is a bit happy and consoling herself with the consolidation prize of the sindoor her mom comes and royally rubs it off her forehead after another threat to suicide!
Gone! that too gone! Then when she accepts she is married to Raghav and he is her future, Bam! comes Kamla maa with her prediction that God has chosen a new path for her and she need not entertain her loverboy.
Then she loses her father's faith and gets another slap on her face!
She is then emotionally blackmailed to go and find a job so that she can atleast become a memsaab!
Unfortunately she gets no job! Plus she is been molested by one of the employers who called her for interview.
When nothing has worked till now she again convinces herself to start something of her own but that too seems in doldrums! with people like Manda who is more interested in personal life than professional/
Guruji had said she will rule hearts!! My foot she has not even won anyone's trust and confidence yet!
Now thanx to Manda nobody in the chawl trusts her because loverboy comes to meet her chupke in the night and she tries to hide him away to save him from Kamla's hamla!
Now loverboy claims that he has no patience and he himself who asked to wait for one year is not ready to do so and keeps weakening her resolve!
Now what else a slap by Pakya is left! Any girl who has gone throught this torture, do you think she will behave normally like Kalpi does no matter how strong they pretend to be?
