Part-4

Still Laughing, They both sat on the sofa..

Kalpi: so you want to have a cold or hot coffee...

Raghav(with a wink): HOT... just like me.

Kalpi: okk. i'll get it you wait...

Kalpi went into the kitchen to make coffee. Raghav looked here and there. and then he also went into the kitchen.

Kalpi: hey why did you come i was getting the coffee...

Raghav: no problem...Kalpana...

Kalpi: hmmm...

Raghav: if you don't mind can i ask you a question...

Kalpi: hmmm sure..

she was pouring coffee in the cups...

Raghav: why was your wedding cancelled...?

Hearing this question tears rolled down Kalpi's eyes. she stopped pouring the coffee in the cups. she left the kitchen and ran to her room and locked it. Raghav also ran behind her. he knocked the door...

Raghav: Kalpana open the door please. I am really sorry if you are hurt. I won't ask this question again. I promise but please open the door..

Kalpi didnt open the door he kept banging the door for around 5 mins...but she didn't open it & then he heard something which made him really panicked & tensed.

Kalpi: aaa...she screamed inside the room...

Raghav: oh shit..Did she harm herself or what...he banged the door harder...

Raghav: Kalpi open the door...god...damn it...

Kalpi then opened the door she came and hugged him. Raghav was shocked and didnt knew how to respond...

Raghav: hey Kalpana..are u alright...?

she just nodded a no...

Raghav: what happend...

she moved back and was still sobbing.

Kalpi: wo..wo raghavv..

Raghav: speak up kalpana..

Kalpi: wo raghav there is a rat in the room...

Raghav: what rat...?? he shook his head & the tension which took him few minutes ago turned into complete annoyance..

Kalpi: yes rat..and a big one..

Raghav: god...you just scared me. Now leave your childishness and come on lets go and drink the coffee. he held her hand and took her down stairs. Kalpi went into the kitchen and brought the coffee. She gave the cup to him and sat next to him.

Raghav: I hope u didn't mix any poision in it...

On hearing that Kalpi hit him playfully. Raghav took a sip and Kalpi was waiting for his reply. Raghav was making faces.

Kalpi: how is it...?

Raghav: awesome...

Kalpi: really...?

Raghav: yess...Raghav drank the hot coffee in one breath...

Kalpi: then i should also try..

Raghav was about to stop her from drinking it but before it Kalpi took a sip and spilled it out of her mouth...

Kalpi: cheee...this is so salty...

Raghav: umm...yeah a little bit..

Kalpi: how did you drink it...

Raghav smilled and said its fine...Kalpi was sad...Raghav: its ok..

Kalpi was still sad. But she then remembered that she should call Pakhi...she dialed her number...

Kalpi: hey Pakhi...

Pakhi: hi Kalpi...

Kalpi: can u come over here to my home to stay at night today...

Pakhi: ok but it will take 2hrs since grandma is not well...

Kalpi: what 2 hrs..cant you make it fast...

Pakhi:i will try..bye...

Kalpi: see you..bye...

Raghav: so should i leave..??

Kalpi: what...hmm..yeah ok...

Raghav: ok then bye...

Kalpi went to sea off Raghav till the main gate..

Raghav:bye...

Kalpi turned and saw something weird in the garden area. she went to see what is it behind the tree. there was a cat behind the tree. it was a black one which just jumped over Kalpi. Kalpi screamed and ran in and closed the door. she went and sat on the sofa. she thought to divert her mind and decided to watch tv. she switched on the tv. there was a horror movie being telecasted she got scared again when suddenly she saw a shadow of a hand on the window. She turned off the TV and went near window. The silence prevailing in house playing its part successfully in making her more scared.

Kalpi(in a trembling voice): who is there...kaun hai...come out i am warning you...

she picked a vase which was on the table near her. She went towards the window. now the shadow was enlarged. Then someone banged the door hardly trying to open the door. she ran towards the door to get out. she opened the door and threw the vase down and hugged Raghav who was standing at few distance from the door tightly. she started crying.

Kalpi: thank god you didn't go..

Raghav: Kalpana are you scared...??

Kalpi just nodded a yes...

Raghav: hey Kalpana just relax. Look i am sorry. mujhe aisa nahi karna chahiye tha. i didnt knew that you would be so scared.

Realizing that it was raghav behind all that & the postion in which they both were, some past memories started flashing in kalpi's mind.

She started remembering how once prem scared her in the same way like Raghav. After which kalpi came running in Prem's arms like a baby crying badly.

Prem: ohh I m so sorry Jaan..i didn't wanted to make you cry like this..please forgive me..

Kalpi: Why do you always do this to me.. and I wont forgive you this time until you promise me that you wont do it again..

Prem: well in that case Jaan..i don't want your forgiveness..because I am going to do this lifetime.

Kalpi frowns hearing this. Prem having a sweet smile on his face says "because you look the prettiest while you are angry & I love the way you hug me tightly after getting scared. (kalpi hits him on his chest showing fake anger on her face) But yes I can promise you one thing for sure Jaan"

Kalpi: and whats that now??

Prem: hmm..whatever happens in life but I will always be there to hold tightly my crying angel and yes making you cry, hug me tightly and then making you smile again would only be my right always. Because you are only mine. You belong only to me Kalpi. Promise me na Jaan."

Kalpi's eyes still filled with tears. "Yes I am only your's prem. I belong only to you. But if you do this to me again & again then I will have to find someone else. Samajh gaye na" she said in a teasing tone & starting running. Prem too started running behind her "no way Jaan. I wont let it happen ever. Remember that" after which he reached kalpi, held her by waist from behind & started twirling her around.

**Flashback Ends**

Kalpi broke the hug and looked at Raghav angrily. The memories of prem still running in her mind...

Kalpi: do you even realise how scared i was. she hit him on his chest.

Raghav: it was just a prank...

Kalpi: prank?? You like to play with someone's weakness...

Raghav: look i am sorry...

Raghav tried to hold her shoulder but she waved his hand away...

Kalpi: out...

Raghav: what...

Kalpi: I said out...

Raghav:Kalpana i am sorry...

Kalpi: you all men are same. You just like to play with someone's feelings and weakness. I thought you were different. but no i was wrong...

Raghav: Kalpana i told you i am sorry...

Kalpi: it is so simple for you to play with someones weakness and then say sorry. before i get out of control and loose my temper just go away.

she said that and ran inside and closed the door. Raghav banged the door.

Raghav: Kalpana listen to me i am really sorry.

Raghav banged his hand on the door hardly which hurted his hand slightly and blood started oozing out. While inside the house, Kalpi too was crying badly.

Kalpi(from inside): i said go. leave me alone raghav and don't you ever show me your face ever again...

The memories of prem still running in her mind making her a complete mess. Kalpi then started recollecting all those moments that she had with Raghav till date when she heard a knock on the door. Kalpi thought that it would be Raghav and opened the door in anger but to her surprise it was Pakhi.

Paakhi: Hey Kalpi..she came in and sat on the sofa...

Kalpi: hi..hmmm... its very late i think we should have dinner & how's grandma now..

Paakhi: she is fine. Mom is there for taking her care & yeah i am also very hungry...

they ordered the food from a hotel and they started chit chatting. an hour passed but the food was not yet delivered. Kalpi was still lost & upset because of the way she behaved with raghav and was least intrested in Pakhi's non-sense. the door bell rang and Kalpi went to open the door. the delivery boy(Db) gave them the food along with a rose..

Kalpi: why are you giving me this rose..??

Db: actually this is our way to say sorry mam...

Kalpi: our way...?

Db(nervously trying to think for some answer): management's mam..

Kalpi: aah..ok...but sorry for what..?

Db: for bringing the food late...

Kalpi: thats ok. wait a second i will get the money...

Db: No mam its already paid...

Kalpi: paid by whom?

Db(again in a bit nervous tone): by the management mam. if we are unable to deliver the food in 1hr then the food is free.

Kalpi: ok. thanks. Kalpi went into the kitchen to get the food in plates. while removing the food from the plastic bag. she saw a note. when she opened it SORRY with a smiley was written in it. Kalpi exactly knew who it was.

While outside kalpi's house,

Raghav: Here is the payment of the bill and here is your tip you can leave...

Db: thank you sir...

Kalpi saw few blood stains on the letter. she got worried seeing it. she knew Raghav might have hurt himself. One side her heart gleamed with happiness seeing raghav's apology but other side her heart was still angry with him because of the prank he played which made her remember prem again & again and then the way he hurted himself did nothing less in increasing her anger which was merely due to the hidden care she had started developing unknowingly in her heart for raghav. she went near the gate along with first aid box and saw that Raghav was still waiting over there.

Kalpi: what the still doing over here...

Raghav: i am wating for you to forgive me...

Kalpi: then forget it. bcoz it is not going to happen. saying that she kept the first aid box on his car and went inside..

Pakhi: where were u...?

Kalpi: nothing.. the main gate was open so i just went to close it. did you see anyone near the gate..

Pakhi: no...why? was there someone outside??

Kalpi: no. lets start eating..

Next Day Morning...

Kalpi got ready and left from the house for the institute. while waiting for taxi she saw Raghav.

Raghav: should i drop u somewhere...

Kalpi: no..

Raghav: come i'll drop you..

Kalpi: i dont need ur help...so just go away...saying that she sat in the taxi which came there few seconds ago and left. Kalpi reached the institute. Ria one of her classmate gave Kalpi her wedding card.

Ria: Kalpi its my wedding this sunday.

Kalpi: congrats..i am so happy for you..

Ria: thank you..but only a congrats is not enough you have to come in the wedding...

Kalpi: i am not sure but i will try...

Ria: ok then I will take a leave since i need to invite few more people bye..

Kalpi: bye...

Kalpi had few tears in her eyes when she looked at the wedding card. The design of the card was much similar as hers. then Kalpi remembered Raghav's words that she should move on in life. so she wiped her tears and went inside the class.
