They had to use Vithoba because when Kamla had to decide if to agree for Ragna marriage, that's when they had the maha episodes with SSLK, Kamla had placed both Pakhi and Kalpi's pics at the feet of Bappa for him to show her a sign. A flower had fallen on Kalpi pic and she agreed for the marriage.

Now she wants "God" to agree for Rakhi so she has to try someone else.
