Part 2

Kalpi reaches working women hostel.. "Swabhiman". She meets the warden there and gives her the reference of one of her friend Swati who lived there. The warden happily shows her room.

Warden : Swati has told me about u. Don't worry, we live here like a family. This is ur room... One more girl is living in this room.. Her name is Payal. She is from Gujarat.. U will like her for sure.. She will be back by evening.. Till then u settle and come down.. Mess is downstairs... U can have food their.. Eat something, u must be hungry... My room is just next to the Hostel reception... U can come there for help. Do not hesitate.. I am just like ur Ayi.

Kalpi : Thank you aunty... I will have my lunch..

Aunty leaves from there and Kalpi looks at the room.. It has set of everything... two tables, two closets and two cots... Right one was taken by Payal so she takes the left one... She starts arranging her room.. She takes out two photos... One of her complete family... Another one of her mom... She places it on table..

Kalpi(while looking at her family photo) : No matter how far I stay.. u will always be close to my heart. I know I have ur blessings with me.. This pic will give me strength to stay here and fulfill my dreams. And another pic of Ayi will remind me about her dreams... It will tell me to move ahead in my life and not to look back!!

Saying this she arranges rest of her stuff at their place and starts searching newspaper for jobs. She makes few calls and takes appointment for the next day... Rest of her day she spent searching jobs on mobile, cyber cafe or newspaper.

@Night

Kalpi was lying on her bed thinking about next day's interview. Payal just enters the room while talking on the phone.. On seeing Kalpi, she disconnects the call..

Payal : Oye Kalpana... Right??

Kalpi(surprisingly) : Yes, but how do u know..

Payal : Oye chill...M not some james bond!! Aunty told me about my new roommate Kalpana.. n thts u.. btw I am Payal.. aunty must have told u about me!! I noe she must have given a list of my complaints.. but u noe this oldies na..

Kalpi : No aunty hasn't said anything bad about u.

Payal : Ohh really?? Tht's the 8th wonder.. but let me tell u about myself.. I am a chatter box.. Loves to eat and speak.. N I hate tears.. M bit filmy too but love to dance.. N music... Aila!! My ipod is my life... I hope u like music too.. I was praying to get a new roommate like me... who loves to enjoy life like me... I like adventure a lot.. we will go some day.. BTW why r u not saying anything??

Kalpi : Just becoz u..

Payal(before Kalpi can complete her sentence) : Ohh!! I dint give u a chance.. but what to do I love speaking and I hope u r a good listener as u have to jhelofy(bear) me now. Btw u had ur dinner?? M too hungry.

Kalpi : M not hungry.. U just go.

Payal : Ohh really?? Missing home naa!! I know this happens lot of time for new ppl lyk u.. I m away frm my family from last 2 years so it dsnt affect me much..

Kalpi : I have spent my whole childhood in hostel.

Payal : Chill than... Let's go for dinner n m not taking a no as an answer. I know m getting too friendly but tht's what Payal is..

Kalpi smiles on listening her. Finally they head towards mess. Payal again complains about the quality of the food but Kalpi tells her that it's better than her hostel's food. They finishes their dinner and reaches their room. Payal tries to ask Kalpi about her reason to come Delhi but she says for getting a good job. She doesn't want anyone to know about her recent past. Kalpi sees Payal sleeping peacefully.

Kalpi(in her mind) : What a carefree girl she is, she doesn't care about anything and enjoying her life. I wish I too had this tension free life. I cnt even sleep peacefully like her.

@Morning

Kalpi wakes up early..In fact she dint sleep whole night.. She was just lying on her bed with her eyes wide open.. but now she is fully prepared to go for her interview. She sees payal sleeping peacefully and leaves a good bye note on Payal's table.

Kalpi reaches some office and asks for HR. She is been directed to HR's cabin.

HR : Yes Miss Kalpi.. What are your qualifications?

Kalpi : Ma'm I have done BBA.

HR : So u r a fresher.. Why should I hire u?

Kalpi : Ma'm I am sure that my skills are perfect for this job.. beside this m hard working and determined girl. If given opportunity I will prove myself.

HR : Quite impressive but where are ur marksheets?

Kalpi : Ma'm actually my result has some totalling issues so it will come bit late but I am university topper and here the paper cutting of that news.

HR : Well Kalpi.. U r a bright girl but u r are just graduate and unexperienced. We are looking for some MBA person for this position. Sorry we can't give u job.

Kalpi goes for some other 4-5 interviews. She realizes that she need to go for PG for higher position. But she doesn't have money to do that.

Kalpi(looking at a paper) : Okay.. this is the last job interview for the day.It's for some coaching classes. Let's check there.

Kalpi goes towards the coaching classes. There she shows all her marksheets.

Coaching head : U r academically good. Why do u want to work in a coaching centre.

Kalpi : Sir, I really need this job and I assure u that I will work with full dedication.

Head : Ohh.. I will be glad to hire u but I can't hire u as full time teacher. U just have to teach in morning sessions. 4 hours in morning. Time slot u can decide. And u have to teach students from 9 to 12th. 1 hour for each class.

Kalpi : Thank you so much Sir. I would like to start bit early..Can it be 5 to 9 in morning.

Head : Ohh sure.. I will inform enrolled students. U have to start from day after tomorrow.

Kalpi : Thank you sir.I will take a leave now.

Kalpi goes to her hostel feeling happy. She is happy that she will get at least money to pay for her basic needs but that isn't enough for her.

Kalpi(to herself) : To fulfill my dreams I have to go for PG. I have to enroll for MBA but from where will I get money? I have to search one more job. A job where fr afternoon session.

While she thinking Payal enters the room.

Payal : Oye heroine... Where r u lost??

Kalpi : Nothing.. I just got the job and planning to search other one.

Payal : Tht's a call for celebration!! Let's go and party..

Kalpi : No.. actually I.. money..I..

Payal : Oye cut the crap.. It's my treat. But on ur 1st salary u will give me a big treat.. now let's go. I will take u to my favorite cafe.

Kalpi and Payal reaches at a small but beautiful cafe "Musical Cafe". Payal greets a guy from a distance and asks him to come.

Payal : Kalpi, that's Roy... he works here And Roy.. this is Kalpi.. My new roommate...

Roy shakes hand with Kalpi.

Ray :Frnz??

Kalpi just nods her head in yes.

Roy : Looks like I m forcing u.. U cn say yes with a smile yr.

Kalpi smiles on hearing this. Payal says Roy to bring her favorite order as he knows her well and u cn ask Kalpi whatever she want.

Roy : Madam Payal... I am not waiter.. neways for our new frn I will become waiter as well. What would u like Kalpi madam.

Kalpi : some sandwiches please.

While roy goes to fetch sandwiches Kalpi looks at the job requirement notice on the wall of cafe. She goes to read it. Till than Roy returns with the order.

Kalpi : Roy.. Is this situation vacant in ur cafe?? Ur boss needs english speaking graduate for managing ur cafe.. Should I apply for it??

Roy : Sure... Should I refer ur name??

Kalpi : No Roy, I do not want any favor from anyone. I want to earn success on my own.

Roy : As u wish Kalpi, tomorrow is interview. You can go for it. The venue is given in the notice.

Kalpi and Payal reaches hostel after the treat. Payal is too tired so she sleeps early but Kalpi starts preparing for her next interview.

Precap : Kalpi is shocked to see the interviewer.
