Raghav took hold of Kalpi's hand and pulled her closer. Kalpi stared into his dark brown eyes as he leaned in closer. "I Love You!"- Raghav whispered before pressing his lips onto hers. Kalpi could feel the power of the kiss and returned it with equal enthusiasm. She finally pulled away to catch her breath. Raghav let out a chuckle before cuddling her into his chest.

They stood there in silence for a while until Raghav heard Kalpi's sobs. Gently letting go of her, they both sat down on a bench by the lake. Raghav waited patiently for Kalpi as she sat there clinging onto his arm letting her tears flows. He knew there was a turmoil going on inside her and while Raghav hated seeing her in this state, he had no choice but to wait till she was ready to talk about it.

Before what felt like eternity, Kalpi finally looked up at Raghav and gave him a sad smile. "How did you know I was here?"- Kalpi quietly asked. "Your friend, Alisha, called me. She was worried about you."- Raghav replied wiping away her tears. "How could you leave like that? Did you not once think about me?"- Raghav questioned her pretending to be angry.

"What else could I have done? I knew you wouldn't let me go. And I couldn't see you with Pakhi"- Kalpi answered looking away. "Did you not have any faith in me? On our love? How could you even think for a second that I would choose Pakhi over you? I love you. Always have. Always will."- Raghav said making Kalpi smile. She turned back giving Raghav a tight hug. Kalpi knew that accepting Raghav's love was the best thing that had happened to her.

Kalpi got up and stared at the night sky. "You know Raghav, once again my mother proved that Pakhi is more important for her. How easily she asked me to sacrifice my happiness. I always placed her above everything else in the world, even you. And this is what I got in return."- she said feeling dejected.

Raghav sat there quietly without interrupting Kalpi and letting her continue. "My entire childhood has been about Pakhi. Pakhi's happiness. Pakhi's wants. Pakhi's needs. I can't remember the last time my mother fed me with her own hands. I can't even remember the last time she hugged me or told me that she loved me. It was always about my mother, about me fulfilling her dreams. What about my dreams? Did anyone once think about what I wanted? Guess not. That's why my mother sent me to boarding school without bothering to come visit or call me."- Kalpi said letting out a sarcastic laugh.

Raghav got up and gently placed his hands on her shoulders. Raghav's gesture gave Kalpi the assurance that she wasn't alone. "First time I asked my mother for something and that too she asked me to sacrifice for Pakhi"- Kalpi continued. "And yet you're here, standing with me, despite everything. How did I get so lucky?"- she asked turning to face Raghav.

"You know, even I wonder how you got so lucky."- Raghav replied winking making Kalpi giggle before she buried her face in his chest.

They stood like that, holding on to one another, in silence. But deep down they both knew that no matter what the future had in store, they would face it, together...
