He was once upon a time rich brat with good heart, yet arrogance and ego..!! He was one of this typical rich man... teasing off poor kalpi at every step.. and falls for her.. and changes completely...!! and when I say completely it's 360 deg. turn in his character..!!
He can keep kalpi happy... and his ultimate aim in life is to keep her happy..!!!
So technically that's why I want RagNa..!! No other girl can suit Raghav... and neither can handle.. tough person like Raghav..!!
Because I am a hopeless romantic and I absolutely loved how their love story was portrayed.
But the best thing about their Jodi is the childhood connection which is completely adorable.
Kamla was the connecting link between Raghav and Kalpana.Raghav loved his Kamla maa because she gave him the love and care which he craved for so much.That made him help Kalpana solve the maths problem or give him the abacus.Besides he took a liking to Kalpana,maybe from what he had seen of her,no matter how little that might be.He had faith in Kamla's upbringing,hence he trusted Kalpana to not have stolen money when Prem falsely implicated her.
He returns from the US and with every meeting with Kalpana he gets to know her a little bit more.
On her birthday he gets to know Kalpana suffering and in pain.Again Kalpi's self respect and confidence comes to the fore at the interview.Then again Kalpana showcases her courage in the way she deals with 4 boys from her college out on the streets.Her presence of mind,intelligence and will power reveal themselves when she comes all the way to Pune looking for Raghav,hell bent on taking him back with her to Mumbai.The day Raghav saves the day by putting a stop to the chawl demolition,he finds Kalpi in pain and neglected.Raghav gets to know her caring and loving side when she offers him the first aid box on her 1st day in office.Caring and loving she was,just like her mother in every possible way.He loved Kamla for that and he feared he would fall for Kalpi too and sabotage his revenge strategy.
Affection turns to love after the fateful "Uss Raat" .
As for Kalpana she respected Raghav for the way he helped them in more ways than one.Whether it be paying for the hotel bill or bailing out Pakya.Respected him for listening to him and coming all the way to save the chawl although it doesn't serve any of his purpose and then again for giving her the job just at the insistence of her mother.
But his erratic behaviour after that puts her off.Then when he comes with her to Kapoor's house to save Pakhi,even though he is at odds with the Kapoors,that and the emotional talk revealed another dimension to his character,.Kalpi gets to know the soft side to Raghav Singhaniya.But still his erratic behaviour confuses her all the more.
Kalpi realises Raghav's care and concern for her on the day she gets locked up in the office store room.
After Raghav's out of the blue confession of his love for her Kalpi takes her time to get to know him better and falls for him eventually in the process.
Kalpi realises Raghav is willing to change his ways for her(Holi Day),that he cares for the feelings of others(Raghav comes to the chawl although he had a fight with Kalpi).More respect for him after she realises how much of a self made man he is(Raghav shouting at Kalpana after the constable suspension fiasco),sees his benevolent,caring and helping nature and that he is willing to stand by her no matter what(Hospital incident).That day she finally realises she is in love with Raghav.
Well I haven't watched many Jodis.The 1st Jodi I saw was Sujal & Kashish(Kahiin to hoga-2004) for a few episodes and then Rajveer & Naina(Left Right Left-2006) for some 40-50 episodes.The more recent would be Asad & Zoya(Qubool Hai) for some 30 episodes may be.
But I found the portrayal of this Jodi quite beautiful & subtle.Making them a couple was a deliberate act by the makers I think.They built it up quite early on.If the cradle scene wasn't enough to rack our brains,the pen incident made it quite obvious they were to fall for each other eventually and to the delight of all of us,they did.
Lastly,tumne ek fun post banaya tha Sejal aur mein ek dum se serious ho ke itna bada essay likh dali.Bhagwan tumhe himmat aur patience de ise padhne ki haha.
