Nothing bad will happen, he will have a very valid reason to not come! But it would have been nice if he had made some excuse for not coming.

After all, she kinda put him on the spot by forcing him to come the very next day!

I agree with you. He is sure abut his love. There has to be something really big. Maybe a promise to himself that he will make her mom trust her before he will ask for her hand. I don't know. He has not been portrayed as a weak character, so it can't be cold feet. For sure

And please don't get me wrong, I am hurting for Kalpi too. I want her happiness like it were my own! Hope you understand!
