Kalpana Jadhav has to be one of the best characters in this show till date; her characteristics have always been so realistic. I fell in love with her yet again today. She is a gem of a daughter to have for any parents, and I fail to understand till date, why her own mother has not realised that.- My title is a reference to her as being the pride of her parents, and light and shadow of Raghav's life😳
Miss Jadhav had no desire to hide anything from her parents, in fact earlier too despite not being sure of her own feelings, she took the bold step of discussing the matter with her mother, but alas destiny had other ideas. And when today, she was confronted, she did not shy away from the truth, instead she embraced it, and questioned her mother, as to why she did not feel the need to clear with matter with her first. She told her mother this to give sorrow words, as the grief that does not speak knits up the o-er wrought heart and bids it break (Shakespeare my man said this😆), and this fitted perfectly to both Kamla and Kalpi's dilemma. Kalpi was able to discuss what was in her heart today, and that lifted such a huge burden on her shoulder, that it enabled her to freely romance today, and her being so free and open, was definitely a sight for us and Raghav😉 to see today. 😳
"We must accept finite disappointment but never lose infinite hope"(MLK)- This is what Kalpi has learnt to make peace with, as she grew up. Kalpi has been living her life with one aim and one aim only, and that nothing but to please her mother in every way possible in the hope that she becomes hers and hers only. (If anyone has watched that 10 Saal Baad promo, you would know what I am talking about, she breaks your heart with her dialogues in there.) Her Aai has spent her entire life catering for others, and that is something Kalpana at a very tender age had to make peace with, and she did slowly but surely by finding herself a place where she would drown in her own sorrow, distancing herself from the happiness of life, and only confiding in her father, but only when her father made the effort.
Kalpana has always been a very talented and beautiful person, who had been forced to mature from a very tender age, and had to share her most price possession with another girl who had it all. And because of that, she was in constant competition with herself, and Pakhi for the affection of her mother. What daughter has to fight for their mother's love? Isn't a mother supposed to be there for all her children, without differentiating? Then why was a little girl made to suffer for so long? Why couldn't she acquire the happiness she deserved every step of the way in her life? Why was she made to be the sacrificing lamb every step of the way? (Whether it was the bribery scandal, or the pen scenario, or the birthday scenario? Why, why and why?)
Today, seeing her so happy made me happy! It enabled me to enjoy RagNa on a different level together. The Kalpana Jadhav who first made her presence on our screen as a young woman was damaged, she needed curing and Raghav provided her with that cure by making her the center of his life and showering her with love and affection: two elements she had been craving from her mother. Her character has truly transformed, and her happiness brings a smile to my face, because she was one character who i had instantly connected with.
Nourishing me into being the woman I am today will ensure I will never allow your heads to bow in shame, that is a promise I make to you, mother and father, as your daughter. (Kalpana's promise of the day, and I loved it so much that I put my own spin on it)😆
Raghav has always believed in Kalpana's capabilities, and if you watch the episode that was aired on 27 November, you would understand what I mean here. Albeit he doubted her post that, but that doubt was soon put to rest. But despite being an outsider, he has understood Kalpana more than her own mother. Kalpana has come into his life as his savior, but soon he will have to be her savior, because that day is not far, when Kalpana will break completely because of her Aai.
Vithal, my man! You deserve a stand-ovation! What a gem of a human being and father, he is! He truly understands Kalpana, and he knew she would never hide anything from them! And how right was he? She is the apple of his eye and she would never dare have his head bow in shame, and the blinded trust he has in his Rajkumari deserves a big 👏! You're the man Vithal Jhadav.
Kamla, claims to love Pakhi and Kalpi equally right? So why did she have completely different reaction to finding out that about her daughters' love stories? Can it be that Kamla deep down truly does love Kalpi more hence the reason for that extra worry about Kalpi? Or is it because she truly just sees Kalpana as her robot who was brought into this earth by her to fulfill her dreams? And until and unless that dream is accomplished, Kalpana has no right to have a life? Which is it? She claims she does not differentiate, so how does one perceive this reaction of hers? She wanted Kalpana to tell her the truth but when she did, she was not happy at her daughter's honesty, instead she started questioning her, as if she had committed a crime. Her daughter proved to her, how wrong her thought process was, and yet she did not stop once to think, wait, if I had been more persistent earlier and asked her why she had called me, I would have known from day 1, and this would never have transpired. But no, instead she chose to embark on an entirely different mission.😕
