Part 26:
Kalpana looks at Raghav who is busy in conversation with his mother. Kalpana feels something in her heart. She does not know what this feeling is. Is she feeling disappointed that raghav did not praise her hand made food. But why is it bothering her. Why Raghav's compliment is so important for her. What is this new feeling which is growing inside her? No, she just wants to see her daughter's father happy and she is worried that maybe he does not like the food'- She convinces herself and starts having her breakfast.
Raghav looks at his Kalpana's face. Though his Kalpana is expert in hiding her emotions but her eyes betrayed her for a moment and that one single moment was enough for Raghav to understand his wife's inner turmoil. He enjoys her longing. But it does not stay long as her wife's phone starts ringing and she receives the call with a big smile on her face and starts talking to Samrat. Yes , that over smart, flirt, idiot Samrat has called his wife and ruined his mood. After laughing and talking a lot, Kalpana puts down the call finally to Raghav's relief.
Kalpana clears her throat and asks her mother in law - Aunty, dada can't come to pick me for my pagphere . Bhabhi has a doctor's appointment. So, aai is sending Samrat. We will drop the kids and then he will drop me at my home. Aai will call u in few minutes.'
Before Gouri can speak, raghav intervenes - I will talk to Kamla ma. There is no need to send anyone. I will drop kids at school and will drop you at your Mayka.' He emphasizes the word Mayka'. But Kalpana does not get the hidden meaning of her words and speaks - Ok, I am informing Samrat and aai' and then she turns to Hiya and neel and gestures them to follow her. She leaves the dining room.
After an hour, Kalpana is about to make plaits of Hiya's hair when Raghav enters into room.
Raghav - Kalpana, Today I will be hair stylist of my princess and my prince'. He winks at Hiya and Neel. Kalpana is amused to hear it and she just blurts out - raghav, let me do it otherwise Hiya and Neel will be late for their school.' But Hiya and Neel run to Raghav.
Raghav smiles and bends on his knees - So my princess like French plaits and my prince like spikes. Am I right.' Hiya and Neel screams in unison - right'.
Kalpana intervenes again - Raghav making French plait is not easy. It is not your business deal Raghav. we will be late.'
Raghav : Give me 2 mins Mrs. Singhania
To Kalpana's surprise, Raghav perfectly ties Hiya's hair in French plaits. Then Raghav puts some gel type of thing in Neel's hair.
Kalpana : Raghav, gel is not good for kids hair.
Raghav could not help but to smile and speaks in amusement - it is olive oil not any hair gel, kalpana. You are behaving like a typical nagging wife.'
Kalpana realises that Raghav and she are arguing like her parents used to do when she is a child. She gets embarrassed. But then she could not help herself to admire Raghav who is now laughing like a child with Hiya and Neel. Her amusement is short lived as she feels sudden pang of jealousy when Hiya kisses on Raghav's cheek. Is she losing her children to Raghav?
She comes out of her thought when Hiya calls her. Raghav and Kalpana drop Trisha, Hiya and Neel to school. And they both head toward Yadav mansion. There is awkward silence in the same car which was beaming with laughter of children a few moments ago. Kalpana is too hesitant to speak after their morning encounter and Raghav is trying to remember any topic to start a normal conversation with his wife. Raghav smiles at the irony of their life. They are newly married couple but they do not have topic to converse. Kalpana looks at Raghav's smiling face and she can sense it is not his genuine smile but she is unable to comprehend what is it?
Raghav drops Kalpana at Yadav mansion. Kalpana invites him inside but he says that he will come to pick her at night. Kalpana meets her aai happily. Kamla is happy to see her daughter. Kalpana goes to her father's pic and offers her greetings. Then her aai and she go to balcony. It is their favourite place. Kalpana keeps her head on her aai's lap and lies there. Mother -daughter duo start their hearty talks. Kamla is relieved to see that her daughter is not regretting her decision but she can read so much confusion in her eyes. She wants to be sure about her daughter's well being. She considers Raghav as her son, she had forgiven him, she always wants to see him happy but she was not ready to trust him again with her daughter. She is afraid of his temper. She hesitantly asks - Kalpana, are Hiya and Neel liking Raghav's house.' Kalpana elaborates about children's room and morning incident to her aai excitingly.
Kalpana - He is good aai. He loves Hiya very much. He is also behaving very well with me and Neel. May be he is guilty that he had hurt me. Aai, Trisha was lucky that He loves her so madly that he was ready to destroy anyone for her and I was the unlucky one who had to bear the consequences of his love. His love broke my trust on love. I am not accusing him anymore, aai. I had forgiven him but it is hard to forget. Saying so Kalpana buries her face in her mother's lap.
Kamla moves her hands on Kalpana's head. They do not register how much time they spent in the silence. Their trance broke when Pakya and amrita enter into the house. Kalpana hugs her bhabhi and dada. Kamla and Kalpana ask amrita about her check-up and Pakya happily says about sonography and how he sees his growing child inside amrita's womb. Kalpana feels happy for her dada and bhabhi.
At night, Raghav comes to pick Kalpana and children. He joins yadav family for dinner. Dinner is a silent affair as everyone is aware of pakya's hostility toward Raghav. He is not ready to forgive the person who had hurt his sister so badly. But children are continuously talking while having their dinner. Trisha and Neel start arguing over something. Kalpana asks them the reason.
Trisha : Masi, neel is saying I am boring.
Neel : I am saying truth only. Girls are boring.
Hiya : Girls are not boring. You are boring Neel.
Neel : Bade papa, girls are boring na. They don't know anything beside books.
Raghav and Pakya remember their childhood when they used to team up to tease Kalpana. Kalpana's voice breaks their trance.
Kalpana : you should not say this Neel. Girls can do lot more things besides studying.
Everyone finish their dinner. Kalpana and Raghav are about to leave with the children when Trisha and Hiya say that they will stay with aaji. Trisha has never seen her grandmother and her mother told her so much about Kamla Ma that she wants to spend some time with her aaji. Hiya and Neel also want to stay with aaji. Kalpana gets worried about Neel. Kamla assures her that she will take care.
Kamla ma takes Raghav to a corner and says - Raghav baba, my daughter has gone through a lot. I hope you will never hurt her again. I know you don't love her but she is mother of your daughter and you will keep this in mind. Raghav does not know what to say. Kamla ma had forgiven him. She cared for him but she is not ready to trust him for her daughter.
Kalpana and Raghav leave from there and reach Singhania mansion after an hour. Raghav and Kalpana enter into their room. Kalpana starts feeling uncomfortable. Raghav understands and says - Kalpana you can sleep at right portion of bed as I am used to sleep at left . Saying so, he goes to change and Kalpana takes out of her night wear from the closet when something falls. Kalpana takes the thing in her hand and she is shocked to see the pair of anklets. Raghav comes out of bathroom and sees Kalpana standing with the anklets. He clears his throat. Kalpana hands over him the anklets - I have not took this out. It just falls. Saying so, she goes to bathroom to change.
Raghav puts anklets in the closet again and says - You still has to wait to adorn my wife's beautiful leg. First I want to adorn her heart with my love.
That night, Kalpana and Raghav sleep next to each other but still they are far from each other.
