Part 13:
Kalpana is walking at the sea shore. She is wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. her hair is tied in tight bun. She is 31 but does not look more than 25.
Her life got changed completely in 10 years. She still remembers the day when she is about to take wrong decision in her life but her father's teaching helped her to choose right path.
Flashback.
Kalpana is taken into OT. and she remembers her childhood incident when she broke an expensive vase of her neighbour. None had seen her, she thought. If anyone got to know, baba had to pay the price of this vase. Her baba was unemployed then. She did not want to burden her baba with this expense. She kept mum but She could not meet her own eyes and her baba could sense her inner turmoil and demanded explanation. She accepted her mistake. Her baba told - ' Kalpana, life will always give u many options. Some options will be wrong but easy to walk, Right option will test ur strength and patience. But never fall into the trap of wrong options. Always choose the way which ur heart thinks right. I will be there always for u. Your baba will always support u.'. Kalpana comes out of OT in haste. She hates herself at the moment as she is about to kill her baby. But She does not Know how will she face her family. Purba consoles her and asks her to tell the truth to her family . She gathers all her courage and calls her aai and tells her everything.For the first time in her life, She dares to tell her aai eveything. She is shocked to the core when her aai does not tell her to marry Raghav or anything else. She just tells her that her family will support her every decision. Her family moves with her in Kolkata and she gives birth to her daughter. She feels the warmth of motherhood when she holds her daughter first time. She names her daughter Chahat i.e. Love. and Then Swapnil comes in her life . Now she is successful business woman and single mother of two cute children.
Kalpana gets a call in her mobile and her trance gets broken. She comes back to present. She receives the call.
Kalpana : I don't want to hear any excuses..Just fix my meeting with the owner.. I want that property at any cost.
Kalpana, Founder and CEO of KVY Constructions. She does not consider herself owner of KVY Constructions as She just takes CEO's salary from the company and all the profit of the company is used in social service through her NGO 'Humrahi'.
She has came back to Mumbai as Her journey had started in this city only and this city is her destination.
She sits in her car and starts driving. She reaches her home. It is three steroid bungalow built on 25 acres land with a beautiful garden. Her Dada bought this as it is simple and elegant. She enters into home and looks at her mom who is forcing her pregnant bhabhi to have fruits. Her dada is not back from hotel yet. After all it will take time to settle his business here. He owns 5 star hotels chain Pride in
several parts of India and He is about to open a 7 star hotel in mumbai. Her bhabhi notices her and comes to her.
Bhabhi : Kalpanadi, thank god u came. Hiya and neel are doing partition in your room.
Kalpana : What ?
Saying so, Kalpana rushes to her room and finds a line is drawn between the room. Kalpana crosses the line and goes near the brother-sister duo.
Hiya : Mumma, don't come in my and neel's part. That is your part.
Kalpana : what is all this? What have I done this time?
Neel (in his innocent sweet voice) : U again put ur wet towel in the bed.
Kalpana : it is just a towel. hiya.
Hiya: U know mumma that I don't like mess. and u do this everytime.
Kalpana : Ok, sorry ,I will not do this again. Now give me a hug both of u and tell me how is your day?
Neel starts to go near Kalpana when hiya looks at him and he rushes to his sister.
Neel : I am at Di's side, Mee.
Hiya : Look mumma, Neel will be always at my side. He is my brother.
Kalpana starts her acting and starts crying : U both don't love ur mumma. Mumma will not stay in your room. I am leaving.
Both brother and sister rush to her and hug her tight.
Hiya (making her face): Mumma, please don't do overacting. you are a very bad actor.
Neel : yes Mee, you are looking like a chimpanjee while crying.
Kalpana and brother-sister duo burst into laughter.
Kalpana : Now tell me how is your day and it is good that u make new friends. how is your new friend.
Neel(excitedly) : Mee, she is very good and her family is also good.
Kalpana : Wah, that's good.
Kalpana looks at hiya who is looking little distracted.
Kalpana : Now, take ur books. I am gonna help u in ur homework.
Hiya (affectionately) : Mumma, I know u are tired. Please take rest. I will do my homework and will help Neel.
Neel : Please take rest mee. Di will help me.
Kalpana sensing something is brewing between the brother and sister : 'what are you planning?'
Neel : a surprise and he covers her mouth with his hands as Hiya looks at him angrily.
Hiya : Nothing Mumma, you just go.
Kalpana leaves the room and comes downstairs and goes to her father's Pic.Her father is no more in this world. In last 10 years, she has gained immense success in her professional life but she lost the man whom she loves most,her father who supported her in every decision.
Kalpana : Baba, I will fulfill my promise but I need strength for it. Be always with me, Baba.
Kamla looks at her daughter. They both had lost most important man in their life. Kalpana had lost her father and she had lost her husband. Vittal, a perfect husband and a perfect father, she smiles to herself. Vittal's memory does not bring tears in her eyes but His memory always brings smile on her lips. She is luckiest person on the earth as she got Vittal as her husband. Once She came in this city after her wedding with Vittal, now again she is back in this city to fulfill her husbans's last wish.
Kalpana looks at her mother who is staring at her. Kalpana goes and hugs her aai.
Kalpana : aai, I am alright. I will fulfill baba's last wish.
Kamla : Will u able to do it?
Kalpana : I will, aai. I know it will be tough for me. But I will win over my fear and insecurities. I
will face the truth.I will not let down baba's teachings. I will not run away again.
Kamla : I believe u, Kalpana but don't hurt urself in this process. Your baba definitely didn't want to
see u hurt.
Kalpana : I know, aai.
At night in Kalpana's home.
At dining table, Hiya comes with neel for dinner at 8.30 and finds none there and she starts screaming.
Everyone rushes to her and finds her sitting on the dining table with Neel.
Kamla : Why r u screaming? what happens to u?
Hiya : Aaji It is already 8.30 and u all r late for dinner.
Kalpana : Oh god Hiya, not again. I was busy in some work and U scared ur aaji, Mama, mami everyone.
Pakya : Its ok, Kalpu. Afterall she is my niece she should be punctual.
Kalpana's bhabhi speaks : Look who is talking. You are also late for dinner my dear husband.
Pakya : Amrita, u know I was busy in some work
Hiya screams at top of her voice: We are already late for dinner.
Everyone sits for dinner and Kalpana remembers Raghav seeing hiya. Hiya's freakness for punctuality and cleanliness, Hiya's arrogance always remind her about Raghav.
After dinner, Kalpana makes Hiya and Neel to drink Milk. In their room, Kalpana sleeps in the middle of Hiya and Neel. Neel always sleeps holding Kalpana's hand tightly. Kalpana looks at him lovingly. She is waiting for the clock to strike 12:00. and the arms of the watch strikes at 12.00. Kalpana wakes up Neel lovingly and wishes him Happy birthday. Hiya who is pretending to sleep kisses her brother and wishes him Happy birthday. Kamla, Pakya and Amrita come in the room with cake and Neel cuts the cake and feeds first piece to Hiya. Kalpana gets a call on her mobile and she gives it to Neel.
Neel : Hello..Papa..Thanku...Love u..Please come soon.
at Morning,
Kalpana takes Neel and Hiya to the temple. Kalpana asks priest to perform puja for her son Neel's well being.
Gouri is in the same temple and she notices Chahat and Swapnil with Kalpana there. Gouri comes to them and says to Kalpana : You must be Swapnil and chahat's mom.
Kalpana looks at her in surprise : How do u know the?.
Neel holds her dupatta and says : Mee, she is Trisha's dadi.
Kalpana : Oh, I am sorry Mrs. ..May I know ur name.
Gouri is surprised to hear this from Kalpana. Normally people call their elder aunty or uncle But then she remembers Chahat's words. She self thinks-Like Mother, like daughter.
Gouri : You can call me Mrs. Singhania.
The name strikes hard to Kalpana but she composes herself.
Kalpana : Thanks, Mrs. Singhania for inviting Hiya and Neel for Puja.
Gouri : Hiya and Neel, nicknames of chahat and swapnil. Nicknames are as interesting as their official name.
Kalpana : Thanx.
Hiya comes there with a bowl and places sandal tika on her brother's forehead and Neel mischievously puts all sandal paste on Hiya's cheeks and runs from there. Hiya starts running after him.
Gouri : Your children are so cute and lovely. You must be a proud mother.
Kalpana smiles .
Neel comes running to her and hides himself behind her.
Neel : Mee, stop di.
Kalpana sits down on her knees : Why do I stop ur di? who started this?
Neel : I am sorry mee.
Kalpana : You should say sorry to your Di.
Neel : Sorry di.
Hiya who is carrying some soil to put on Neel's cheeks says : I will put this on ur face. Then I will
accept ur sorry.
Neel : Mee, soil is very dirty. Please stop di.
Kalpana : I am not coming between u. You decide. Neel is sorry but Hiya s angry. I can't choose anyone between u. so, U both decide.
Gouri is looking at Kalpana amusingly. She thought that Kalpana will stop hiya from putting soil on Neel. But she is amazed to see when Kalpana decides not to side anyone.
Hiya comes closer to neel and neel closes his eyes in fear. Hiya throws soil from her hand and kisses on neel's cheeks.
Hiya : How can u think that I will put that dirty soil in ur cheeks.
Neel : Love u di.
Gouri : I must Say , You are a great mother.You have handled the situation very wisely.
Kalpana : Thanx again. If I stay with u one more minute, I will start thinking very high about myself.
lets go Hiya and Neel.
Kalpana leaves with Hiya and neel.
Gouri : Interesting family.
Kalpana drops hiya home and takes Neel to hospital. They go to special ward. Kalpana looks at the person who is lying on the bed with life supporting system. Tears starts streaming down from her eyes.
Neel looks at the person and goes near and hugs his mother.
Neel : Mom, Please wake up. It is my birthday today. Don't u wish me. Please wake up mom.
Kalpana hugs Neel tightly.
Kalpana : Your mom will be alright.
Neel : Mee, You said this on my last birhday also.
Kalpana looks at her friend Purba : Please wake up, Purba. Not for me, not for Rahul but for your Neel. He misses u a lot. Please purba, I need my friend, rahul needs his love, neel needs his mother, Hiya needs her masima. Please wake up. Neel is exactly like u. He loves icecreams in winter. He is bigger prankster than u. R u listening me, Purba ? We need u.
Rahul enters into the ward and Neel runs to him and hugs her. Kalpana looks at Rahul and leaves the ward with Neel leaving Rahul alone with his Purba.
Neel and Kalpana come out of hospital and sit on the Kalpana's favorite bench in park.
Neel and Kalpana wipe each others tears.
Kalpana : Your mom is world's best person. She is wonderful friend and a very loving mother. she loves u a lot, Neel.She always wants to see everyone happy. so be haapy for her sake.
Neel : Mee, From how long do you know my mom.
Kalpana and Neel spoke about Purba.
Kalpana comes back home with Neel and finds Hiya waiting for them.
Hiya sees red and puffy eyes of neel and her mother.she understands everything. she hugs her brother tightly.Kalpana looks at them. she knows Hiya and Neel are safe in each other's company.Kamla also looks at the brother-sister duo and thinks' I always wanted this kind of bonding between Pakhi and Kalpana. But my mistakes ruined their relationship. Thank god, My Kalpana did not commit the same mistake. She manages balance between hiya and neel. hiya and neel both know that they are not siblings but they love each other immensely.'
Kalpana Calls her office and tells her PA to cancel all her meetings. But Her PA informs her that She has fixed her meeting with the owner of property at lunch time. Kalpana does not want to leave Neel alone today but she knows that this meeting is also important. Kalpana asks her PA to attend the meeting on her behalf.
Kalpana goes to kitchen and starts preparing Neel's favorite food.
In Singhania Mansion,
After returning from Temple, Gouri asks servant to set dining table for breakfast. Soon,
Trisha,Pakhi,Sammy and Raghav join her at dining table.
Gouri : I met mom of Chahat and swapnil today. I must say she is as interesting as her children.
Hearing Chahat's name, Raghav starts feeling a strange restlessness. He feels an invisible bond between her and himself. Raghav is thinking all this when his mother's words break his trance.
Gouri : Raghav, what are u thinking? I am seeing that u become restless wheneven you listen Chahat's name.
Raghav : it is nothing like that mom. the girl is very intigruing, stubborn,arrogant and her name means Love. Quite strange.
Gouri : Raghav, may be she is stubborn,arrogant but I must say she justifies her name. You would have to see hiya and neel in temple with their mother, you would have realised that both brother and sister justifies their name. Hiya is full of love and neel is full of liveliness and sincierity.
Raghav looks at his mother questioningly : Hiya and Neel?
Gouri : I forgot to tell u, Hiya and Neel are nicknames of Chahat and Swapnil.
Raghav : Hiya, this means Heart. quite interesting. She must be apple of her parent's eyes.
Trisha intervens : Like me, boyfriend.
Raghav pinches her cheeks : you are not just apple of ur parents eyes. You are heartbeat of us,
girlfriend.
Sammy : you are loveliest daughter in the world,sweetheart
Sammy :listen Raghav, today you have an appointment with CEO of KVY construction at lunch time. The company has gained much success in short span of time. Its CEO is very much interested in our property near Chawl. She wants that property at any cost.
Raghav : But, I am not interested to sell this property. I have bought it for Mom.
Sammy : I know Raghav, but that lady is very determined. She has tricked us to give her an appointment.
Pakhi who is bearing their businesstalks till now yells : Why don't u both discuss your business in office. It is our home, not ur office. So, don't talk about office and work.
Raghav and Sammy leave for the office.
At Kalpana's home.
Kalpana sets table for lunch. She has made dishes of Neel's choice. Kamla, Pakya and amrita come there. Soon Hiya and neel join them. Kalpana is anxiously waiting for Rahul.Rahul comes there. Neel runs to him and hugs him tightly. Hiya gives a hug to Rahul. Everyone sits for lunch. Rahul feeds Neel the first morsel of food. Kalpana looks at them happily and then notices Hiya's sad face. But As soon as Hiya notices her mother looking at her, she hides her sadness and feeds Neel pizz from her hand.
Kalpana self thinks : Hiya, I know you want to know about your father but I am helpless.
At a restaurant,
Raghav meets Mrs. Sharma, Kalpana's PA. Raghav notices her and self thinks that she does not look like CEO of KVY Industries.
Mrs. Sharma extends her hand for handshake.Raghav shakes his hand.
Raghav: you must be CEO of KVY industries.
Mrs. Sharma : No, Sir, I am here on behalf of her only. She could not come. I am her PA. You can call me Mrs. Sharma.
Raghav :Mrs. Sharma, your boss tricked us to give an appointment than she is not present for the
meeting. She should be sorry for wasting my time.
Mrs. Sharma : sir, It is not like that. I forgot that today is her son's birthday and She spends whole
day with her family. It is my mistake that I have kept the meeting today.
Raghav : Whatever But I am not interested to sell that land. Tell ur boss that.
Mrs. Sharma : Sir, She does not want to buy that land for any business purpose. She wants to build a college for economically challenged students so that they can fulfill their dreams of higher education.
This land is very important for us. You must have heard our NGO's name ' Humrahi'. It got president award last year for helping people.
Raghav : Mrs. Sharma, I can give this a thought but I need some time.I will let u know my decision.
Mrs. Sharma : Thanks, Sir.
At Kalpana's home.
After lunch, Neel and hiys are talking to Samrat and riawho called them to wish Neel . Kalpana comes into balcony with two cups of coffee. She gives one cup to Rahul.
Rahul : I want to thank u Kalpana for taking care of Neel as your own child. Thank u.
Kalpana : Don't insult me, Rahul. Neel is my son. he was 3 months old when you and purba met with an accident and purba went in coma.You gave neel to me. I became his mother from that moment. He is my son. Even god can't deny this fact. I had told him truth about you and purba as he deserves to know the
truth, He deserves to know about his parents But this truth does not change my relationship with Neel. He is my son and Hiya's brother.
Rahul : I am sorry Kalpana, I did not mean to hurt u. I know that you never differentiate between Hiya and neel. But Don't u think Hiya also deserves love of a father. Can't u See how much she miss her father?
Kalpana : I know Rahul that Hiya wants to know about her father and I promised Baba that I will tell Raghav and hiya truth. They both deserve the truth.
Rahul : Will u be able to do it ? will u be able to trust Raghav? I want u to marry some good person and settle down. You will get a good life partner and Hiya will get a father.
Kalpana : Do u know Rahul, I am afraid of losing Neel on the day when I told him truth about his
parents. I was afraid that he will start loving u and purba more but I told him truth. I did not tell
him truth because purba and you are my friends but We can't bury the truth.
Rahul : But that is different Kalpana. will u able to forgive Raghav?
Kalpana : Rahul, I had mentioned many times and I am saying it again He does not need my forgiveness. He is none to me. But He is father of my daughter Hiya and I can't deny the fact. Baba was right. I don't have any right to conceal the fact from them. I get to know importance of father for a daughter after losing Baba.
Rahul : Raghav is not like vittal uncle. He cheated u. I have seen u suffering.
Kalpana : I know he cheated me. But I don't have any right to judge him as a father and I will not judge him.
Rahul : Will Hiya be able to forgive Raghav after knowing the fact that he cheated u?
Kalpana : Please don't tell Hiya about all this. She will not be able to take it. She has never asked
about her father as she knows that it makes me upset.
Rahul : Kalpana you are really strong. I hope I would have your strength. I will support in your every decision.
Kalpana : You are strong Rahul and I have seen it. Life had played game with us. The person whom I loved cheated me that I will never be able to trust and love again and the person whom u love madly is not in her senses. I hope Purba get well soon and u get back ur love and life.
Rahul : I will pray that u get every happiness in ur life.
Kalpana : I am happy, Rahul as I have my children and my family with me.

Raghav and Kalpana, both struggled in their life. They are born fighter. Only difference between them that for Kalpana life is black and white, good or bad as she was grown up in a protective environment. Her father is always there for her to teach her Right and wrong. Her brother is there to protect her. Her mother is determined to give her a good life. She got wonderful friends who can do anything for her.Whenever she is on verge of taking a wrong decision, her values holds her back. She knows how much mother and father are important for a child. Her father was always there for her but she still longed for her mother's love. She dared to tell Neel the truth about his parents though she is afraid of losing him. Now She has to fight with her insecurities again to tell Hiya truth about her father. Will Kalpana be able to do so?
Raghav was born with a silver spoon But he had lost his family when he was 12 years old. He was always surrounded by greedy people. Some people helped him like KamlaMa but he could not get an opportunity to stay with her for long. and then he met Sammy and Trisha and they became best friends .one day he lost his best friend Trisha. Raghav didn't have anyone to guide him what is wrong or right and He hurt Kalpana. Does not he deserve a chance to rectify his mistake?
