Chap 52

Prem and Maya were ecstatic knowing about RaNia engagement at their function...And both Rahul and Rania were looking for the fastest way to get married so they decided that they should have a double haldi/sangeet and double wedding the following day...

Raghav: With everything double make sure you guys don't go on double honeymoon...

Rahul: Kalpi...see Raghav is being mean to us...teach him a lesson...

Tania(rolling eyes): I thought we agreed I get to be the drama queen...

Raghav: Haha...what a joke...

Prem: Sheesh...I feel sorry for your kids...either they will be like you...and drive us all crazy or they will be nothing like you two and you two will drive them crazy...

Maya: Prem...don't be mean...Kids are angels...all and everyone's kids...

Kalpi turns to see dada taking Amrita for a walk which keeps the baby healthy as he informs others...on the other hand SaaKhi are cooing at Aryan who is trying his best crawl...

Aryan slowly and clumsily crawls up to Gauri who picks him up, "who is the cutest baby...yes you are...so grown up already...Aryan is giggling at Gauri...kalpi is silently spectating this gets teary and moves towards the balcony...

Raghav watches Kalpi leave and decides to follow her,

Balcony

Kalpi is grazing at the clouds I sky, with her hands folded in prayer and tears running down her eyes...Raghav comes in front of her and wipes her tears...

R: Why is such a gorgeous angel crying? I bet somewhere fairies will be losing their wings with every tear that falls out of your expressive eyes...

K(laughs): Raghav...you are such a hopeless romantic...even here you are killing innocent fairies...

R: But an excellent comic...Now tell me what is troubling you?

K: It is nothing...just something stupid...

R: Nothing you say is stupid...well...almost...

Kalpi slightly punches her arms and pouts her lips...

R: Mrs. SInghnia...if you don't stop pouting...I might have to claim your lips right here and right now...and I don't want to go off topic so kindly tell me what is troubling you?

K: It is just...umm...I saw Ma wit Aryan...and wondered...

Raghav understanding her train of thoughts engulfed Kalpi in a hug...

K: I am scared...what if...

R: Don't be (almost in a whisper)...We have hardly been married a month and with all the celebrations...

K: but ...with our...exercise...

Raghav leans his forehead against Kalpi..."don't worry about it...you will be the world's best mom in due time...me the best dad...and Ma the best grandma...

K: But what if...there is something wrong with me...what if I lose...either one of you...or...

Kamla overheads the last part and clears her throat and tells Raghav Gauri is looking for Raghav

Kamla: kalpi...I know I failed you as a mother but Gauri Ji always came through for you...maybe I made you second guess long term happiness in your life but you deserve everything, all the love and it is not going anywhere...how can you think that you know that Gauri Ji loves you so much...she has raised you as her own...she would never separate you and Raghav...stop having such thoughts...go to the doctors and satisfy your curiosity but with God's will everything will be alright...I am sure...

Kalpi hugs her mother, "Aii..I love you as much too...always...forever...

Kalpi POV: I won't worry about the future...I mean who knows what's to happen next...so I will take each day with Ma and Raghav as my last and enjoy their love and shower them with more...

Kalpi returns and comforts Raghav she is fine and needed some women talk and all will be okay...

Raghav POV: I have to talk to mom...I know she jokes around about having grandkids so soon but maybe Kalpi is taking it seriously...

Haldi/Sangeet

Everyone dressed up and all looked forward to dancing and enjoying the night including Kalpi who after morning seemed elated...

Raghav still didn't have an opportunity to talk to his mom regarding Kalpi but was paying extra attention to Kalpi who at one point wanted to hit him in the shin for following him as a shadow...

Everyone put colors on respective brides and grooms and then everyone danced the night away...

By the end of the night Kalpi was so tired that Raghav had to carry her to the bed and she slept instantly giving Raghav the chance he was waiting for...

Gauri's Room

G: Raghav...you didn't go to sleep yet...what's wrong?

R: Nothing...umm mom can I talk to you...

G: Sure...is Kalpi okay? Did you both argue?

R: No no...nothing like that...I mean mom...Kalpi feels...she will kill me for telling you this since Kamla Ma said something to her and she was all perfect...a little too perfect afterwards...

G: Hmm...did she indicate what was troubling her?

R(blushing): About not...umm...making you a grandma yet...

G: That girl...she should know I am kidding...I guess not...I will talk to her subtly...about it...don't worry...I don't know about you but I dance my knees out and I ain't getting younger talking to you so I rather sleep...

R: Oh...before I forget and before you Daughter kills me in morning...take your medicines...

G: Ah...my baby...she not you (showing tongue)...

R: mom! I seriously doubt who she loves more?

G: That would be Mua...Me...Mommy dearest...

Raghav shaking his head and wondering if her mom was accidently or intentionally slipped alcohol...

Did you make it happen? Said a screeching lady voice like nails against board..."good, as long as Kalpi drinks that juice once a day, you daughter too will be safe for that day..."
