Author's Note: A lot of you are angry at Kamla Ma...I think hate is a very strong word...so in my opinion her point of view. Kamla gave birth to Kalpi but nursed Paakhi since the next day, so she has an attachment to both equally. She breast-fed both and loved both...when they grew into kids. Kamla spent most of her time being a nanny to Prem and Paakhi and any time at home, she worked as a housewife hence Kalpi and Kamla weren't as close. She then sent Kalpi away for better education to achieve things she wanted to but didn't have resources for. In Kalpi life comes Gauri who gave her the mother's love, so she is content and Kamla is just an object (the end of race course where you get trophy for coming first). Now imagine, Kamla seeing and hearing her pregnant daughter in hospital...she went brain dead and as an instinct would want to protect her...She cares deeply for Kalpi but at that moment she went weak...in Kamla's imagination, Kalpi has always fought back and succeeded but Paakhi needs all the support in the world...Thank you for bearing my rant and Sorry if I offended somebody! There reason why Kamla was hesitant was my way to portray the unconditional love mothers can hold! #ILuvMyMoM...What about you?

Raghav takes care of Kalpi's discharge papers.

Rahul: Raghav, listen I know Ma convinced Vitthal uncle to take Kalpi to your home but please don't over pamper Kalpi...she will feel like a burden. She would need you as a silent support...a partner standing next to her and not hovering over her.

Raghav: Thanks...Kalpi said she forced you to leave. I will take care of her, I promise.

Rahul: I know...Yes, I pity you...she won't ever let you win an argument...You are a goner! And if you made her cry, you are a Mega Goner!

Raghav: Gee, thanks for the support. (sarcastically)

Rahul: The great RS joking and being sarcastic...am I dead?

Ward Room

Vitthal: Kalpi, please take care. I understand you would want to be around your Ma plus with your injuries...I don't want you climbing stairs.

K: baba, please hug your princess and go home. You need rest and good food...Hospital food is something no one deserves.

Vitthal hugs and kisses Kalpi's forehead and leaves along with Pakhya who followed the same ritual.

K(smiles): Ma, I'm so lucky...to have such amazing souls in my life.

G POV: I know you are hurt. One day your aai will understand how golden your heart is...and regret each wound she unknowingly inflicted upon you.

G: Hmm, actress...Now you are to eat no spicy food until you are completely healed.

K(jaw dropping to floor): Ma, that is not fair...I deserve good food...spicy veggies...burgers...pizza...yumm

G: All you will be getting is soup and boiled vegetables.

K: Hmmm, okay but you have to make your Chintu eat them too...He needs it too...for health...

Rahul gets wheel chair for Kalpi...

R: Let's get you out of here.

K: I don't need that...

R: Kalpi, don't be stubborn...the doctor said to take it easy for a few days. I listened to you and after seeing you home; I am leaving to catch my flight. You can do this for me.

K: You are such a drama queen...I can't sit on it...since it is closed you dummy...

R: Oops...

Raghav's Home

Rahul finally leaves in Raghav POV after smothering Kalpi with hugs, kisses and promises to take care.

Raghav POV: I bet he was doing that to get on my nerves...Idiot...let us get married...I will give Kalpi your share of hugs and kisses.

K: Ma, you also go rest. I don't need anything and see I'm in bed again!

G: Okay...but call me or Raghav if you need anything. Raghav, watch over her.

R: Finally, me and Kalpi alone...sheesh

Gauri smirks and Kalpi blushing, Raghav, "shit, I said that out loud...ummm...okay mom.."(blushing beet root red)

Gauri leaves,

Raghav decides to sit on edge of bed when Kalpi shifts slightly to make room for Raghav alongside. Raghav halfway sitting lies on the bed and carefully places Kalpi in his lap.

R: Finally, where you belong.

Kalpi hugs him and holds onto him. They don't need words to explain what they feel. Raghav is hugging Kalpi from behind and Kalpi clutching onto his sides.

R: Do you want to talk about it...while running his fingers in Kalpi's hair. We don't have too, if you don't want to?

K: I...there... I'm not as hurt as you and Ma think. She watched Paakhi grew up not me. I luckily had Ma. I would have been shattered wasn't it for Ma's love and you. That day at orphanage, you made me realize...love is not a race. I always thought Aa..her affection as a prize. I wanted it so bad but now I realize I don't need it. Never needed it. I had baba, Ma, dada, Rahul and now you to fill that void. I'm not even upset with her...just a bit disappointed but nothing more. Maybe now she will love me more...like she does with Paakhi or you...I know you, baba and Ma see things in black or white, good or bad...but I see things grey. How can I blame her when we spoke to each other as you speak to a neighbor? Life always came in between even when we tried to have a normal mother-daughter conversation.

Raghav kissing Kalpi's hair, "you are incredible, did I mention you have touched me wholly body, mind and soul? Never leave me...please. I don't think I can survive without you."

Kalpi starts drifting on his chest while Raghav smoothly rocks her to sleep. "Goodnight angel"

Next Morning

Kalpi tries to walk with help of much reluctant Raghav.

R: You should rest...we could start tomorrow. You were discharged just yesterday.

K: I thought you might like this opportunity.

R: Huh(confused)

K (leans over to his ear): Well, you get to keep me within an arm's length distance.

Raghav rolls his eyes..."let's go"

K(smiling): Ah, good food...wait why does it smell like boiled eggs..MA?

G: Yes, this is for you...eat boiled egg with turmeric milk and brown bread...

K(makes a face): Seriously...I discharged from hospital for this.

R: Now I know what you meant by drama queen mom...She is the source of Rahul's drama.

K(shocked) POV: Oh really? I will show you drama...

K Ouch ouch ouch...

R(jumpimg): what is wrong...where is it hurting...mom call the doctor...

Kalpi laughing...this is drama...sorry ma

R(shakes her): Idiot, you scared me to death...NEVER I repeat Never fake something like that.

Kalpi's eyes get teary...

G: Raghav...enough...she apologized na...Now let's do breakfast okay.

After breakfast, Raghav leaves for work on Kalpi's insistence. Soon after he leaves, doorbell rings...

It is Kamla Ma.

G: You ? here...why?

K: Who is on the door Ma?

Kamla: I just...I had to see...her. I will glimpse from here and leave

G: Why now?

Kamla: I was wrong. I just...you are a mother...If you had to choose between Raghav baba and Kalpi...what would ..

G(interrupts): God Forbid...but in that case...both...I would have fainted twice but I would not have said no on the notion of motherly instinct as you said...

Kalpi: Ma...let her come inside...you taught not to talk to people from door.

G: But...Okay. Come in

Kamla rushes towards Kalpi but loses her courage to engulf her into a hug.

Kamla: I know what you said...to everyone...to forgive me...I'm sorry..

Kalpi: I asked you before...you are my elder. I can't hear you say sorry.

Kamla: I...I made your favorite...puranpoli.

Kalpi POV: Aii...I wish I could explain you that making my favorite food doesn't fix relationships.

Kalpi: Thank you but I promised Ma, to eat healthy until I'm fit.

Kamla: I can't thank God enough for sending Gauri Ji in your life.

Kalpi: Me neither...Is there something else?

Kamla: I have become such a stranger to you...I used to be your own.

Kalpi (on verge of tears): No Aa...We never shared a mother-daughter relationship. I know you sacrificed to make sure me and dada went to school. I understand all that but somewhere along the line you forgot in Paakhi's love that me and dada existed too...It is in the past. Both dada and I have moved on from it but if you keep repeating it, it pains...Maybe you should forgive yourself and you won't feel guilty. I want to forget all this happened and if you want to do something then please go to Amrita's home and announce the wedding date.

Kamla: Okay (Sadly and leaves)

Gauri hugs Kalpi tightly. "Do you want something?"

K: Nope...I have all my heart desired. I really am okay.

G: I could tell, you have a wonderful heart...

K: Go on...It is not easy extracting compliments from you hehe but can we practice walking 10 steps? I want to be fit in 2 days for dada's sangeet.

G: Okay baba, I was thinking...Me and Vitthal spoke about you and Raghav.

K(blushes and looks on the floor): baba knows?

G: You said na, me and baba are two people who could read your heartbeat. He agreed to announce your engagement on Sangeet day and your dada is very excited about it. So don't say no...

K: Okay...but I want to tell Raghav about it.

G: hmm, okay I need to go visit a friend...you could use that time (winks)

K(surprised): How convenient...I thought as a mother in law...you would do the opposite...

G: Maybe but you are my daughter so...it is okay!

Kalpi asks the servant to decorate the whole dining area with candles, some scented only...She cooks his favorite dishes while sitting as per Ma's orders. She is dressed in white shaffon saree with teal border.

On the other hand Raghav gets a call from jeweler,

J: Sir, the necklace you ordered is here...It is white gold heart which opens and one side reads Lover and other Friends For Life.

R: Great I will pick it up.

Raghav enters home to see the dining room all set with candles and orchids and amidst is sitting the love of her life looking like an angel in her saree.

R: Kalpi...you look...

K(tries to stand from wheel chair) and Raghav comes to her support while resting his arm on her waist.

R: What is the occasion?

K: Well you see...I have great news for you and wanted to make it special.

R(excited): What?

K: Hmm first dance and on cue, Hero by Enrique started playing.

R: Our song (smiles) but you are hurt...

K: Fill the moment buzz kill...

R:Oh really and lifts her in his arms and dances...How is that for buzz kill? While nibbling the sensitive skin of her neck.

K(blushing): Raghav...put me down

R: Nope first a kiss...They share a passionate kiss...until Raghav stomach rumbles.

K: Oh no...the ape is hungry...

R: Me...ape...not my fault I can smell masala bhindi...

Kalpi points towards table. Raghav makes Kalpi sit on his lap while Kalpi is feeding him with her hands and him feeding Kalpi...

R: The good news?

K: My lord...any other commands...so rudely you ask...

Raghav leans over kisses Kalpi lips softly and speaks making sure with each word his lips fall against Kalpi's...(huskily) "My queen, my heartbeat, would you please tell me why am I being treated like a king?

K(blushing as tomato): Now this tone I like...You are too be my fiance in 2 days' time ...Baba is going ot announce on dada's sangeet.

R(grinning from ear to ear): Finally!! And attacks Kalpi's lips again.

He then moves Kalpi's hair to a side, "You look so beautiful in white like an angel but please never wear such clothes in public...it is so hard for me to control...

K: Raghavvv...

Raghav then takes the necklace places a slow kiss on Kalpi's neck and puts the necklace...

Kalpi moans and then feels something cold...

K: What is the need?

R: Shhh..open it...

Kalpi cries after reading the inscription and hugs Raghav..."Thank you it is beautiful!"

R: Not more than you.
