Part 16
Prem came as a guest to another friend (Samrat) to this exclusive party. As much as Mr. Mehta wanted to throw him out he couldn't because of Samrat. Samrat ( twin to Prem in evilness and malicious behavior). They both came with a plan to drug Kalpi and get RS secrets using any possible methods from torture to rape.
Samrat tries to sweet talk with Kalpi.
S: Hi there sweetheart. You are looking gorgeous; could I buy you a drink?
K: I'm not your sweetheart and would appreciate if you would respect my personal bubble. No, I don't accept drinks from strangers. Didn't your mother teach you that?
S: Samrat, now we not strangers. I can make you my sweetheart after you done playing hard to get.
Kalpi decided he won't stop and moves away for him. Samrat is about to touch Kalpi and drag her to dance floor so she has to spend time with him but Raghav turns up and hugs Kalpi from behind.
Kalpi is about to shout at the person but her eyes meet Raghav dark, deep lustful eyes leaving her tongue-tied.
Raghav puts her arms around her waist from behind.
R: What are you doing here princess? I was looking for you. Let us dance. Is something or rather someone bothering you honey?
Kalpi soon caught onto his act and decided to play along, after all seeing such a Raghav was a rare occasion. She decided to make the most of it.
K: Of course love, Now that you are here! I was missing you so much poodly poo (utters Kalpi mischievously).
R POV: Oh, you want to play games...fine let's see how you will react to this. Raghav then kisses Kalpi's cheeks, who blushes profusely and realizes Raghav did this as a come-back.
K POV: It was just a fast kiss but so sweet and felt like tingles all over my body. His voice, his cologne everything is so alluring.
Kalpi's cheeks are red and she tries to run away but Raghav takes her wrists and moves to dance floor. Tu hi Hai Ashique is playing, hearing the song Kalpi rolls her eyes.
R: What? I save you and you don't say thank you but roll your eyes on the savior. Haven't caught up with the manner's lecture, I see my lov..I see!
K: Sorry Sir, it wasn't on you. It is just the type of songs that we end up dancing to.
R: Admit it, you love my dancing skills. Any girl would fall for me, I got the looks, money, home and attitude.
K: Not everyone thinks like that. There are many factors sir. I could have taken care of myself but thank you for intervening. Kalpi didn't like the turn of conversation as it was getting to intimate for her.
Raghav pulls her closer and puts his forehead against hers. " So this doesn't affect you, Kalpana? It is your fault to wear something so revealing obviously jerks are going to take advantage of that. I guess some girls do it for playing damsel in distress." (looking down at Kalpi)
Kalpana is furious and hurt at the thought of Raghav having such low opinion of her. She leans toward his ear. " Like I said Sir, I didn't need your help. I'm not weak or desperate to be a damsel and I think you should drop your mask of arrogance to cover your slip-ups. "
Raghav angrily leaves the dance floor and Kalpi feeling awkward in the middle of the floor returns to drinks section. She asks waiter for water, Samrat seeing Kalpi alone adds tablets in her drink. Kalpi after drinking water starts to feel dizzy; she tries to reach for Paakhi but is dragged out of the party room by someone. She hears murmurs but can't make out what they are saying.
K: Please, I need water. I'm not feeling well. Please help me.
Prem: Mehta has his guards on all exits guess we have to take her to one of these rooms and ask her the secrets here itself.
Samrat: Come on, I wanted to have my fun with her.
P: You will have time for that; now let's move before someone recognizes her.
Kalpi puts up a struggle but with Prem and Samrat fully conscious, there is little she can do in her drugged state.
Raghav goes to the terrace and digesting Kalpi's words, he realizes whatever she said is true but she had no right to say that. Suddenly, he got an eerie feeling like something isn't right. He decided to return to the party. He searches for Kalpi thick and thin but is unable to locate her. He spots Sammy and Paakhi flirting and laughing and enquires from them if they saw Kalpi.
P: She must be in a corner standing like a bore she is.
S: Sorry bro, haven't seen her.
Raghav: I don't know I have a feeling she might be in trouble. He drags Sammy towards a corner and tells him, neither Prem nor the guy who was flirting with Kalpi is here. They start searching in different rooms and were to call each other as soon as they find Kalpi.
Meanwhile in the guestroom,
Prem throws water on Kalpi's face and pulls hard on her hair.
P: Tell me what projects is Raghav working on and on what quotas is he selling the houses for his next project?
K: I will never betray Raghav. I'm not scared of you. You are not a man enough to defeat him with dignity. This earns her a harsh slap from Prem. Her cheek where Raghav planted a soft kiss now was throbbing in pain.
S: Prem, you never hurt a pretty girl like this, you take the thing they cherish the most , their self-respect. (evilly)
Samrat rips the arm part of Kalpi's Saree while Kalpi is staring at him in shock, with fear evident in her eyes.
Kalpi then screams very loudly, "Help me, please" Someone!! Ma, Ma, Ma please Save me!
Samrat moves to kiss Kalpi to shut her up but the door is broken by a very angry Raghav Singhania.
R POV: OMG, Kalpi...she looks so scared, so fragile. It is okay, I won't spare these jerks.
Seeing Kalpi in this state; all Raghav sees is red, especially the part where the guy is too close to Kalpi. Raghav grabs Samrat's collar and starts beating him black and blue. Prem seeing this as an opportunity picks a vase and is about to strike Raghav when Kalpi puts her hand in between. The shattered pieces of ceramic cutting through her flesh; Raghav turns in time to see blood on Kalpi's hand and felt the pain in his heart. He lets go of unconscious Samrat and punches Prem hard enough to knock daylights out of him.
R: Kalpi...are you alright? It is okay, I'm here...I'm here, I won't let anything happen. You shouldn't have put your hand in between...see how much blood is flowing. He then starts to take out pieces of ceramic from her hand and his other hand is wiping her tears.
K: Thank you Ragh...Sir. I'm sorry for earlier and if it wasn't for you...I would have been...she starts shivering and sobbing.
Sammy and Paakhi reach the room and Raghav orders Sammy to get first aid and Paakhi for water. While they moved out of the room, Raghav hugs Kalpi and put his arms around her possessively. "I will never let anything happen to you."
Kalpi chuckles and utters, "Sir, your shirt is getting bloody and so much concern for an employee, people will talk. I know your ego , so I would request and would be humbled O Lord if you accept my friendship".
Raghav is shocked to see Kalpi like this; with so many walls broken he got a glimpse of the real Kalpi and was finding her very intriguing.
R: Okay, but you have to call me Raghav or My Lord would do. Never scare me like this again. He takes her cheek and realized how bruised it was and frowns.
K: Is it that bad? Do I look that ugly you have to frown so much. It doesn't hurt as much. Oh god, what will I tell aii and Ma...
R(smiles slightly): You never look ugly...I mean...who did this? He then sees her arm and his blood boils, Kalpana, who did this? (anger brimming on his brows as he speaks those words with restraint) . He felt like putting both unconscious men in fire.
On the cue, Sammy and Pakhi walked in. Raghav carefully cleans and bandages her hand while blowing hot air of his breath when she would wince with pain and asking her to grab onto his shoulder if it pains too much.
Paakhi feels very embarrassed for her brother's action. Raghav is about to scold her when Kalpi touches his shoulder, "Paakhi, you can't blame yourself for Pre..him, please take him away," almost pleading.
Paakhi asks waiters to dumb her brother in her car and leaves the premises.
Kalpi phones rings, it is Juhi Ma calling.
J: Kalpi, where are you? Are you in pain? Come home, I want to see you. I have a bad feeling.
K: Ma, I'm okay. A friend saved me (glancing at Raghav). I will come home but can you call aii. I...I'm not in the state to see her.
J: Okay, but what happens from there is something we will decide when I see you. I love you.
K: Bye, love you too. See you soon.
R POV: How is that she is so close to her so called Ma than Kamla ma? Even in pain she was calling out Ma... I need to ask her...maybe later now that we are friends. Me and Kalpi...friends...who knew...Maybe she would go back to her prickly attitude tomorrow...what am I thinking!! Raghav, you have officially lost it...control...walls!
Samrat starts to stir up and Kalpi notices this and relives the whole incident. She faints uttering Ma; thankfully Raghav catches her before she hits the floor. He realizes why she fainted.
R: Sammy, could you drop her to her Ma's house? I have some unsettled score to set here.
S: Sure, but are you certain you don't want to be with her. I mean you technically did become her superman today and can't deny it now.
R: No, I will take her to the car. Make sure this jerk doesn't leave. Raghav carefully places Kalpi on the front seat and caresses her cheek and arm through torn sleeve. He lightly places a kiss on her cheeks, arm and forehead and smiles when he observes her smiling. He feels at ease. He finds Mr. Mehta and both men return to guest room.
Sammy then leaves. Raghav asks Samrat every detail of the encounter unpleasantly with a lot of punches and slaps and much bruised Samrat is then thrown to jail by Mr. Mehta's connections.
Mr. Mehta apologizes to Raghav and asks him to offer his condolences to Kalpana.
Sammy informs Raghav, he left Kalpi at her Ma's.
