Hi I just don't know how many times I read this story and it always amazes me with the details and also articulating the words and emotions😉, so it made me to go through again and again coz when I started to see the EMA in April 2nd week, I was so hesitant to come to EMA forum and read updates coz if I get addicted to this there's no going back as I use to see only JA and I found out people start with great enthusiasm and after some time they leave readers hanging there and it's really creeps me out

U seem to be so different as I found very regular updates 😉 And also this is the first EMA FF on which my eyes laid & glued , end of April and since then never going back it made so amused and interesting story

So please don't stop updating ur FF😔 as there are many like me looking fwd to read this wonderful story😭

will do for sure, was considering discontinuing it, but your post has made me reconsider, so will definitely be putting pen to paper and continue this story to the end.

After an extremely long wait, and my humble apologies, I managed to put pen to paper, its not the best update, but hoping that the creative juices start to flow with ease as it did when I started this FF managing daily updates most of the time... lets hope that you all like it enough to hit the like button and make your precious comments, as it was comments that made me WANT to continue this story... do enjoy

Part 44

Kalpi was admiring her teddy bear after Raghav had left, thinking that he really loves her immensely and she will do anything to ensure he is happy always. The secretary at Kalpi's office came to her cabin, informing her that Ms Paakhi Kapoor has accepted the offer of employment and will come to their offices the following day, making Kalpi really content that Paakhi was going to be given an opportunity to redeem herself. Kalpi called Paakhi to congratulate her, which made Paakhi really glad that despite everything Kalpi truly cares for them. Paakhi told her that she was going to make her proud and not do anything that will impact negatively on Kalpi or the association, which was what Kalpi wanted to hear, as this was her reassurance that Paakhi is genuine about the change. Kalpi requested Paakhi to join her at the office for afternoon tea, and she would be able to meet with the Human Resources Department of the Association and get all the cumbersome paperwork out of the way. Paakhi was ever ready to meet Kalpi, as she always held firm to the idea that seeing is believing, and she wanted to see for herself that Kalpi was indeed safe.

Paakhi informed Neetu that she had accepted the offer of employment with the Building Association and therefore needs to go to the offices to complete some paper work. Neetu was looking at her daughter with such admiration, thinking that despite everything, her daughter is still being civil towards her, realizing that she; has only Kamla to thank for instilling such remarkable values in Paakhi; with tears in her eyes Neetu walked towards Paakhi, making Paakhi quickly hug her and bid farewell; just so she could avoid making her mum cry more. Slowly Neetu and Paakhi started understanding and trusting each other developing their bond as mother and daughter.

Kalpi was anxiously waiting for Paakhi, as after finding unconditional love from Raghav and Gauri Ma and the reconciliation between herself and Paakhi, the duo seemed to have started sharing a very unique bond. Kalpi's thought drifted to Prem, hoping that he achieves success and stays steadfast on the right path. Kalpi began relating her eagerness to see Paakhi to her new friend Ragna', the pink fluffy bundle of joy, when she was interrupted by a familiar giggle, as Paakhi walked into the office; as Kalpi was busy conversing with her teddy. Kalpi was a tad bit embarrassed, which was short lived as Paakhi's reaction to the teddy was enough to make her little convoy with Ragna seem "mature" Paakhi was speaking in an incredibly squeaky voice to the teddy, making Kalpi walk towards it, telling Paakhi that Raghav had given her the teddy, making Paakhi smile as she was truly happy for her friend, and Paakhi was feeling good about the way she was thinking.

The duo enjoyed their afternoon tea after Paakhi had met with the relevant departments, sorting all the formalities that were required. Kalpi did not hesitate to let Paakhi know that she was indeed happy that they were going to work together again, but this time with better understanding and trust, which brought Paakhi to tears remembering her previous actions; that now disgust her; at the mere thought of what she had done. Kalpi understood exactly what Paakhi must have been thinking; making Kalpi move towards Paakhi placing her hand on Paakhi's hand, resulting in Paakhi looking at Kalpi who simply nodded reassuringly confirming to Paakhi that Kalpi has indeed genuinely forgiven them, and that the past must stay in the past as they should now be working towards being better people, never to make the same mistakes again, with the risk of losing the people they love dearly, Paakhi was thrilled that she understood everything with NO words being exchanged.

Paakhi completed all the official formalities, and was ready to leave; when Kalpi requested her to wait for her as they can leave together, considering that they were going to the same place, which made Paakhi very happy. Kalpi phoned Raghav to inform him that she will see him at his place for the planned family dinner, as she was leaving the office now with her two friends; making Raghav rather restless wondering who the two clowns could be. Kalpi didn't want to trouble Raghav too much, as he usually stresses before their family functions, as he finds himself unsure of how to interact when the family is around them, so she smiled and told him to relax, as she is going home with Paakhi and Ragna, making him breathe a sigh of relief. Kalpi further told him not to stress about the dinner as everything will go well.

Raghav was so proud of Kalpi, as she was always ready to forgive, always willing to give people a second chance and always ready to go the extra mile for those she cares for. Kalpi and Paakhi exited the building, and found themselves enjoying the attention from onlookers because of their new fluffy friend, each commenting on how cute or sweet the teddy was. Paakhi could not resist but respond to some of the questioning eyes, telling them that they had recently adopted the teddy, and they still looking for an appropriate day care facility, as until then; they would need to bring their little one to the office daily; making Kalpi laugh out loud, much to the annoyance of someone that was watching them.

Priya was also leaving the office when she had seen Kalpi and Paakhi making their way to the car with a huge teddy, trying to figure out if Raghav had gifted it to Kalpi, as she had not seen anything at their offices earlier in the day; so she decided that if it was Raghav's gift, then she was going to make it hers by hook or by crook. Priya walked towards the giggling duo, making Paakhi go red with anger as she recognized that this was the evil Priya she is safeguarding her loved ones from, but managed to hide her emotions well. Kalpi greeted Priya in the same jovial tone from all the laughing; briefly introducing Paakhi to Priya. Priya asked Kalpi about the teddy, and said that its June, a long way after April, for this act pointing to the teddy; to be part of some April fool's joke, shocking Kalpana as she has never heard Priya speak so boldly and somewhat rudely before. Kalpi responded immediately, telling her that there are certain things in life not everyone will be blessed to understand, and that the act that Priya considers foolish, she thinks is romantic and shows care on a different level which very few people are blessed to experience, walking towards their car as she said her last words; leaving Priya dumbfounded for having considerably underestimating her opponent, with one person enjoying every moment of what just happened; Paakhi.

Priya realized it was time for damage control, so she called out to Kalpi, telling her that she didn't mean to hurt her, she just thought someone had played a prank on her, and she has never experienced such care, hence did not even think of it the way Kalpi has explained; making Kalpi feel bad thinking that she may have over reacted, but realizing at the same time how much she loves Raghav and would not accept anyone insulting him even in an indirect way, but decided to let it go as Priya was nave and may not have seen the world enough; contrary to what the actual truth was, which was unknown to Kalpi. Paakhi watch how suave Priya was, and how she handled Kalpi with ease, realizing that her brother was right about his assessment of Priya and her evil methods to get what she wants. Kalpi told Priya to let it go, as she would not have known that Raghav had given the teddy; and the gift means more to her than what meets the eye to an outsider, as Raghav purposefully made such a choice indicating that he is indeed the ideal life partner that understands her completely without any shortfalls. Priya was shocked at the depth of their love and affection, realizing that she has indeed set herself a somewhat unrealistic goal, BUT was not yet ready to call it quits.

Dinner, dance, and more discussions regarding the upcoming wedding to follow...
