kalpi was not in good mood and when kamla tried to ask her lovingly she just went away cribbing(very normal scene , dont we have it everyday with our parents !)

in the morning kalpi dressed differently applied perfume was chirping like a bird.Something very odd to kalpi as character whose silence speaks and who dresses to be dressed and not to please.But today was different all observed it.

Any mother would ask if something speacial was at office , so did kamla.And like any other daughter kalpi seemed alarmed...like omg ...did i dress too much in excitment or may be my lipstic is too loud today ...she did ask her mother ...aai am i too much dressed...coz she expects her aai to be truthful and critical and not like her father who finds her always beautiful.

paaki and kalpi r two different girls with two very different nature. Paaki is an extrovert girl who searches for people to talk he heart and she finds kamla maa an easy target always available to hear her...coz nobedy has time in her own family for this be it prem her mother neetu or her father sahil

while kalpi is an introvert girl who confindes only in her near once and she does have people to listen to her , her father is always their and her brother has always time for her and now even her mother has time...but kalpi often ends up having bad timing with kamla ...who is always ready to hear her but whenever she wants to share , some problms crop up

kamla very well knows the nature of her two daughters ...she knows paaki is a tentrum girl and kalpi can be controled ...though the reason behind this nature is the childhood of these girls ...where paaki being a mem saab girl must have all she wants and kalpi being kaam wali girl had to stay in the corner

Now things r different .kamla has brought up paaki in a better way and paaki does not have any class feelings for kalpi.

while kalpi did have it coz she was kept far apart in some boarding school away from her mother and so grew up thinking that she has been forsaken by her mother. Now kalpi knows the reason why her mother did so and respects her mother a lot and has realised how great and kind hearted her mother is and does feel her mother has brought up paaki well.

Kalpi is quit a changed character now , she is no more the disillusioned kalpi which came from boarding school. Life has taught her a lot and now she knows the value of her mother .

All i know is that har kisi ko mukammal jahaan nahi milta kisi ko zameen to kisi ko asmaan nahi milta

so is with paaki and kalpi and even kamla

but one is quit clear kamla is on a right way reagarding kalpi and will always be her strength and today i did not find any fault in her reaction

Kamla is the moral compass of society in the show, for preaching, teaching and giving social messages to the masses on various matters. These messages is the base of the show whether we ( as in the urban, educated lot) like it or not.

So they have made her mahaan in most ways. But she is also a flawed human being. This flaw is reflected the most in her interactions and care for both her children. I can think of many adjectives to describe her characteristics at this time. 😆 Best let it go...

While she is a caring, giving, compassionate, kind person, I feel she is a bit detached in her interactions especially with her children. She is helpful but not always without a reason, did she really only want the suspension order of the constable revoked only for his family's benefit? There are several other such incidents that come to mind... shall keep it for another discussion.


In short, She has several issues of her own which she needs to be come to terms with before she can be a mother to her children.

What I noticed is that Paakhi was able to tell that Kalpi is in love and Kamla could not tell. Kamla knows nothing about Kalpi because she does not care to. She is too busy being flattered by Paakhi's love.

The necessity of a Mother's relationship with her daughter is almost like needing air to breathe. If you don't have that strong bond with your Mother, you will always feel like something is missing in your life. I thank God, I have such an amazing Mother, who is my best friend. So, I feel for Kalpi so much.

Kamla is the type of Mother you watch on lifetime movies or see on dramatic talk shows in dysfunctional families. When it comes to Kalpi, I can never see Kamla's point of view.

I do agree that it was an instant guess from Pakki to figure it out Kalpi's sudden change and she told Kamla right away because isn't she was feeling the same thing about Raghav too? But see even in Pakki's case Kamla couldn't guess her feelings for Raghav until she herself confessed. So in that sense, I do forgive Kamla 😛

But your bang on saying that a daughter would definitely feel incomplete when she doesn't get a shadow of her mother on her 👍🏼

Thanks Nandy, I tried to spoke from Kalpi's perspective 😃

I agreed on the fact that the way CVs are trying to portray her as, is certainly very crucial to the concept of this story. But like you said, there is a lot more other things that can contradict as well. I also think she is the most positive character in the story but she still lacks behind other crucial aspects that relates to her with her children. A role of a mother doesn't end in giving birth and not know what to do with your child when they are growing. She should be more concern towards her children and try to see what her children is going through. Otherwise just like Raghav, anybody can sense that she differentiates between her daughter and Pakki in many aspects. She seemed a perfect fit to be a politician when she teaches society how to attain something better by choosing the right Person to vote. But does she really realize that she needs to attain her goal as a mother too? Maybe not?

The rest ill leave to the future story! We shall see how her character will turn out to be as.

I can truly understand your point about Kamla not knowing about Paakhi being in love, but remember that even though they are very very close, they don't live in the same house. Kamla sees Kalpi everyday, they should have a bond that is bigger than Paakhi and Kamla's relationship. That is how it should be and it is not. Kamla sees Kalpi serious most of the time, and hardly goes out of her way to get so decked out all of a sudden she is doing it and is very happy, and Kamla's first thought is something is wrong?? She could not got to Kalpi and say I am so glad you are happy but I would love to know what is happening, are you in love. Something anything, instead she calls Paakhi to spy on her. When she calls Paakhi complaining about how she does not share anything with her, I find that disloyal to her own daughter. I don't care what bond they share, she has no business discussing Kalpi like that with Paakhi. These are the things I don't like about Kamla, she never knows her limits and the dos and dont's of being a Mother to Kalpi.

anum kalpi was really depressed whole sunday and on monday the girl was suddenly so happy...plus kamla has been observing kalpi before as well and has said now she seems quit happy while going to office...

today kamla was worried for kalpi coz kalpi did not share her feelings once again regarding her off mood , which worried kamla coz she knows when kalpi does things like this she often lands up in problem

like she never told kamla about her exam things and ended up choosing a wrong paath

then she never told kamla baout the waiter job and ended up cleaning things for neetu

kalpi again did not tell kamla how badly raghav was treating her in office and instead smiled and said all is well

its these things that alarm kamla .kamla knows kalpi does not tell things coz she does not want to hurt her mother and ends up hurting herself. Kamla as mother does not want it.

in all above cases if u see its kamla who has saved kalpi and has showed her the right path , which helped kalpi to have strenth and fight back

now in this case , kalpi did not share and i can bet some real big drama is coming ahead , where things will come all of sudden in a very bad form.may be people will tak things for kalpi or neetu or will melign kalpi name. and kamla will be clueless of it .


again i can assure kamla will stand by her daughter after some intial scolding.

This time is different, Kalpi has never ever been in such great mood, even the other times she was pretending to be okay at work.
Kalpi got up early and got decked up, that is extreme behaviour but in a positive way, I can't see why Kamla would think something was wrong, makes no sense to me.
