Part 17
Kalpana struggled in Raghav's arms "Let me go"
she commanded.He didn't say anything and
firmly pressed her against the wall.Kalpana glared
at him.
"Are you happy?" Raghav whispered harshly
"Happy I am in jail...happy that if I even manage
to escape,the cops can find me because they
know what I look like because you gave them
every piece of information you knew,including
my looks"
"You possibly couldn't have thought I would
have remained quiet" hissed Kalpana "And yes..I
am happy,very happy indeed"
Raghav remained expressionless.He finally let her
go and smirked at her "Trying to take revenge
from me for breaking your heart three years
ago"
Kalpana widened her eyes at him.She pointed her
finger at him "I am an inspector Panther..it's my
job to put criminals like you behind the bars"
"Oh so what would you do if you weren't?"
"I would file a case against you for kidnapping"
Kalpana snapped.
"Oh my lioness" chuckled Raghav "You still keep
that wild side with you"
"I am calling the police department right now"
exclained Kalpana.She reached for the phone but
Raghav grabbed her wrist,stopping her.Twisting
her wrist,Kalpana leaned backwards and grabbed
the gun on the table.She pointed it at Raghav's
head "Let.Me.Go" she commanded.Glancing at
the gun,Raghav let go.He obviously wasn't
expecting the gun.His expression was serious
"Raise your hands" Following her instructions,he
put his hands up.Kalpana quickly picked up the
phone but suddenly it was pushed out of her
hands.It fell to the floor,unharmed.Kalpana glared
at Raghav "How dare-"
"At least act like your gun is full" interrupted
Raghav "It's obvious it's empty"
Kalpana gasped.It was true.She thought he
wouldn't notice.Suddenly they heard a click
"Dad" whispered Kalpana.
"Damn" cursed Raghav.
Before Kalpana could say or do anything,Raghav
jumped out of the open window "Kalpi" called
out her dad.
Kalpana ran to the living room,where he was "Dad
I have to go back to the police station"
"What but why" he questioned.
"I'll be right back" yelled Kalpana at the
doorway,quickly putting on her jacket.She was
still in her white salwar.Kalpana jumped into the
car "Driver,quickly drive to the police station"

Kalpana arrived at the police station.The police
officers watched as she hurried to the cells.She
ran to cell number 9 as that was Panther was
supposed to be.Holding the bars tightly in her
grip,she glanced around and gasped.There he
was.Panther.Lying on the bed casually,staring at
the ceiling while tapping the side of the bed.He
ran a hand through his hair and gave a long
sigh.He smiled.He turned to Kalpana and widened
his smile "I see you couldn't stay away from me
for too long" Raghav stood up and made his way
towards Kalpana.Only the bars separated
them.Coming close enough he whispered enough
only for her to hear "I only left a few minutes
ago..want to join me in the cell?"
Kalpana gritted her teeth "I don't want to spend
any of my precious time with you in this
dumpster..how did you get in here so fast with
so many people here"
"Oh come on Kalpana it isn't that bad and I have
my ways to get in and out of places" he
smirked.
Kalpana pursed her lips in anger "You know
what?I will deal with you tomorrow,after a good
amount of sleep"
"Great then,come on in" Raghav said,stepping
back and gesturing to the cell.Kalpana gave a
frustrated sigh.She turned around and made her
way towards the exit "Have sweet dreams about
me" yelled Raghav.
"Never!" yelled back Kalpana.Raghav chuckled.

Kalpana came back home and calmed down her
unsettled dad.Finally after he peacefully fell
asleep in his bedroom,Kalpana went to her
bedroom.She sat on her bed,holding her
head.'How did he get out with so much
security?' thought Kalpana 'And how did he get
back in before me?'.Kalpana closed her eyes in
frustration.After calming down,she finally opened
them.A folded piece of paper caught her
eyes.Curiously she got up.Grabbing the piece of
paper,she unfolded it.There was an address on
it.Judging by the handwriting,Kalpana knew the
General didn't write it.Kalpana read the note
under the address out loud "The underworld is
decreasing but you probably want all of it to be
gone.Get your team to come to the address
written above at 2 pm.Nearly every criminal will
be there.From your well wisher" Kalpana folded
the note back as it was and put it in her
drawer.'Should I trust this person who wrote the
note' thought Kalpana 'He could be telling the
truth,and it won't hurt to check if he is right'.

The next day Kalpana sent a team to the
address.They had been gone for a few
hours.Kalpana was doing some paper work when
an constable came to her "Maam,Panther is
wishing to speak to you"
"What" she exclaimed shocked "Tell him I am
not coming"
"Ma'am he insists..Inspector Ram is trying to
get some truth out of him but he won't
speak..he says whatever he has to say will be
said to you"
"He's got to be kidding me" mumbled
Kalpana.She sighed "Which room are they in?"
"Room 12"
Kalpana nodded.She got up and made her way to
room 12.Opening the door,she saw Panther
relaxing on his chair while Inspector Ram looked
disheveled.Kalpana nodded at him,indicating him
to go.He nodded and left.Kalpana sighed when
the door closed.She looked up at Panther
"What's the problem"
"He was driving me insane with his questions"
said Panther scratching the back of his head
"Are you sure it wasn't you" Kalpana said raising
an eyebrow.
"No I am pretty sure it was him"
Kalpana rolled her eyes "The constable told me
you wanted to tell me something..spit it out"
"First have a seat" Panther said gesturing to the
chair.
"I don't have time for chats,I have lots of work
to attend to"
"Fine I'll tell you something about Aarze since
everybody wants to know"
Kalpana stared at him "Go on"
"You probably don't know but Aarze was a
criminal before he died..he had a small,middle
class family..a brother,a sister-in-law,and a
niece..he became a criminal at the age of 23
when he 'accidentally' killed his ex boss.He died
in an accident with his brother and sister-in-law
because his enemies had planted a bomb under
their car...he is the one who taught me
everything and only because I am where I am
now"
"That's sad" said Kalpana sarcastically "Usually
people teach another to be good but here is the
total opposite"
Panther shrugged "He has a safe buried under
the grounds of White Cliff..it has all the most
precious jewels he stole which are probably still
valuable,also his enemies's addresses and stuff
like that"
"White Cliff?Why would he bury it there?" asked
Kalpana curiously.
"I see you still keep the curiosity in you..he
probably hid it there so nobody could find it"
Kalpana nodded but a few minutes later she
widened her eyes and looked at Panther "Wait
what happened to the niece?"
Panther smirked.
