Part 16
Kalpana rolled her eyes at the guards who were
feeding their stomachs while she was starving
'This day can't get any worse' she thought to
herself.Suddenly the door burst open.It was
him.Not Raghav.The man who kidnapped her.He
didn't look happy 'I spoke too soon' Kalpana
gulped seeing his intense figure "Liar" he nearly
growled.Kalpana widened her eyes.She knew he
found out about her lies.He was about to take out
his weapon when the air was filled with the
sounds of police sirens.Everyone gasped.
"RUN" yelled someone.
Everybody scattered leaving Kalpana.She did not
know what to do or where to go.Suddenly the
door burst open.Kalpana gasped.It was the man
who had kept Kalpana in his house when Raghav
had left her.He was in a police uniform,looking
serious.He smiled seeing Kalpana. "Dad" she
whispered remembering what she used to call
him.She ran to him and hugged him tightly.He
smiled,hugging her back.The police officers
spread out and even managed to catch some
gangsters. "Dad..you're an inspector?" Kalpana
asked,breaking the hug.
"Actually I am the general...that's why I would
always be out and come home late" he
answered "Anyways come...I am here to take
you home"
Kalpana smiled but then it faltered "Dad..Panther
had kidnapped me"
"I know...but don't worry,I'll make sure nothing
like that happens again" he confirmed.
Kalpana nodded her head and left with him.

A Year Later
It has been a year since that incident.Kalpana
became part of the police and learned how to
use her weapons and protect herself.She was a
quick learner and became a high rank
inspector.She wasn't too strong but not weak
either.Though it had been a year,Kalpana still
remembered Raghav.He had become a part of her
which was unforgettable.
One night,Kalpana was attending a meeting with
all the officers and of course the general.He was
the one who was presentating "As we hoped,we
are gathering all part of the underworld but
there is still a large range..especially Aarze's
information that is the most important which is
located with Panther" Kalpana immediately
straightened up hearing his name "Anyways..we
have an estimate destination of where Panther
could be located-"
"Sir" interrupted an officer,coming in the room
"Someone has come to meet Kalpana maam"
Kalpana scrunched her eyes 'Who would come to
meet me?' she thought to herself.Even the
general seemed confused "Um,okay but send an
inspector with her"
"But I can go by myself" objected Kalpana.
"But you don't know anyone and it could be
someone who wants to hurt you...if you know
that person send the inspector away"
Kalpana nodded,thinking it was fair enough.The
inspector arrived and they both went to the
lobby.Kalpana looked around and saw a manly
figure.He seemed pretty strong from his
muscles.The lights were turned off for some
reason.The inspector turned it on.There were a
few other people.They turned around and smiled
at her.Kalpana gasped.She managed to recognize
them as Panther's men.Anal and Sam were a big
hint.The middle man which Kalpana saw
first,turned around and smirked at her "Raghav"
Kalpana whispered.
His appearance had slightly changed.He looked
much stronger then before.On his left arm was
the tattoo of the gang and on the right was a big
'P' letter on it,probably standing for his name.His
hair seemed to have grown a bit.He was wearing
white for a change.Raghav smirked at her,totally
ignoring the inspector's shocking gaze.The
inspector got back to normal.
"Get down on your knees!" ordered the
inspector as he held the gun,pointing it at Raghav.
Raghav smirked "Really? Do I have to? I mean I
am wearing white" he said gesturing to his
clothes.
Kalpana rolled her eyes "Raise your hands and
get down on your knees" commanded
Kalpana,taking out her gun and pointing at him.
Raghav chuckled.He slowly raised his arms and
bent down on his knees,followed by his gang "I
am glad to see you too Kalpana"
Kalpana glared at him.
"Throw him behind the bars!" ordered Kalpana
the men.
"Wait" stopped the inspector.He brought Kalpana
close to him and whispered "Kalpana,why do you
think Panther would all of a sudden show up
here...he must have some kind of purpose"
"So"
"So maybe we can get Aarze's information out
of him"
"But-"
"C'mon Kalpana,the General would want this too"
Sighing she agreed "Take him to the room down
the hall"
The men took him and his gang away,followed
by Kalpana and the inspector.They were in a
slightly dark room.There was a huge table in the
middle with two chairs on opposite sides.Panther
sat on one chair while Kalpana and the inspector
sat opposite of him.
"Let's get straight to the point,I want absolute
immunity" claimed Raghav relaxing back in his
chair.
"You're not getting it Panther" said Kalpana
firmly.
"Oh come on Kalpana..don't you know me that
well?" smirked Raghav.Kalpana opened her mouth
to say something but was interrupted by the
inspector.
"Wait" said the inspector "You have charges all
over the world..it's impossible"
"Well if you want my information and also
Aarze's,you have to give me my freedom"
Kalpana and the inspector were astonished of him
already knowing what they needed.
"Is this the reason you came here?" asked
Kalpana.
"Not the only reason" said Raghav leaning forward
on the table towards Kalpana "I missed you dearly
and came to take you back"
Kalpana rolled her eyes "Do you two have some
kind of history? " asked the confused inspector.
"No" said Kalpana
"Yes" said Raghav.They both looked at each other
"Why lie Kalpana?" he said smirking.Kalpana
looked away "You can tell the man we were
lovers"
"JUST SHUT UP" yelled Kalpana standing up
"Whatever happened was the past...we live in
the present not the past"
"But the past always does somehow come
back" said Raghav standing up.
"Right now we are in the present...we need
yours and Aarze's information"
"And I want immunity,my freedom"
"You don't deserve it"
"Then I'll leave" said Raghav turning to leave.
"Wait,you're not going anywhere" said
Kalpana,grabbing his wrist.Raghav turned around
"Men,take him and his gang behind the bars
where he deserves to be" she ordered.
The men took the gang away,with a small
fight.Raghav was the toughest though "Get off me"
he commanded,managing to push them off "You
lead the way,I'll come" he looked at Kalpana
"This isn't over"
"It was over a long time ago" said Kalpana finally
ending the conversation "I'll see you in jail"
Raghav clenched his jaw.Turning around,he left
"Kalpana,we could've gotten something out of
him" said the inspector.
"I know him well enough to know he won't give
it easily" said Kalpana watching him leave.

Raghav was leaning against the bars in the
cell.The other part of the gang entered the cell
"Is this part of your plan?" asked Sam,not
happy.
"Yes,yes it is" answered Raghav "Now,I like my
space and privacy so please shift to another
cell"
"What,why should we?" said Anal.
"Because I said so" Raghav said "Please take
them away" he said to the junior inspectors.
Since they were already scared of him,they
agreed and took the rest of the gang away.Raghav
stood alone in his cell,staring at nothing.He
heard a throat clear and looked up.It was
Kalpana.
"How does it feel to be here?" asked Kalpana
smirking.
Raghav glanced around and looked back at her.He
shrugged "It's all right but it's all so grey..a few
colors would look nice" Kalpana rolled her
eyes.She turned to leave but stopped hearing
him "How does it feel being part of the police
Kalpi?"
Kalpana turned towards him and smiled "It feels
great,because I don't have to fear you
anymore,nor do I have to fear anyone else"
"So you're not afraid of the dark anymore?" he
asked.Kalpana's smile wiped off her face.She
looked around,not knowing what to say.Raghav
smirked "So you are"
"That's none of your business..anyways I should
be going,it's getting late"
"You're right Kalpi...but be careful
tonight...unexpected things manage to happen
at unexpected times"
Kalpana looked at him confused but decided to
ignore it.She went to the General's office
"Dad,let's go home"
"You go dear,I have a few meetings to cover
up"
"But it's really late"
"These meetings are important Kalpi"
convinced the General.
Finally agreeing Kalpana left and went back
home.She watched tv for an hour and then
changed into her white salwar.She got ready for
bed.She was about to lie on her bed when the
lights suddenly went off.The moonlight luckily
gave some shine,enough for Kalpana to see and
keep her scare in.Stepping out of her room,she
looked around trying to find the reason.Suddenly
Raghav's words repeated in her mind
You're right Kalpi...but be careful
tonight...unexpected things manage to happen at
unexpected times
Kalpana shook that thought out of her mind but
suddenly she was pushed against the wall.She
gasped.Her hands were held against the wall
while the figure who had held her,was hovering
over her.Pulling her close he whispered "Kalpana"
Kalpana gasped,not able to believe Raghav had
freed himself from prison.
