Part 5:
The Car Drive:
Any normal person who knew Raghav and Kalpi well would know that a car drive to Goa is way too long for them to keep without arguing. Kalpi was stretching in the back seat when her elbow hit Raghav's arm. "Careful!" Raghav growled. Obviously, the second he said that, Kalpi was bound to get some attitude. "
I should be careful?" she asked incredulously. "Of course! If a girl keeps hitting me I have to inform her" Raghav said.
Raghav watched as Kalpi's face turned into a frown. Then she angrily turned the other way looking out of her own window. Raghav smiled when she did this. He seemed to like the way Kalpi would get irritated with him. She was simply cute.
"Maybe we should take a break" Paakhi said looking at the two from the small rear view mirror. Sammy agreed and with that everyone stopped at a restaurant. All four of them sat at a table and ordered their meals.
While everyone was eating Kalpi noticed a sudden movement by the entrance. She put it to the back of her mind and continued eating. Paakhi was adding chili sauce to her food while gazing at Sammy. Raghav interrupted her. "Ms. Kapoor, you planning on getting your tongue burned?" "Me? N-" "
Sir" Kalpi said jumping into the conversation. "No one in their right minds wants their tongue to get burned. What a silly question." "Oh yeah?" Raghav asked. "You seem to know a lot about everyone." "Maybe I do" Kalpi retorted. "Guys just relax, okay?" Sammy told them while shaking his head. "So about the chili sauce.." Sammy said turning towards Paakhi with a smile. "How did you put too much?" He was fully aware that Paakhi had been gazing at him. Kalpi and Raghav seemed to know too. "Too much? No not at all, in fact I love it" Paakhi said brightly. "Alright eat it then" Raghav ordered trying to mess around with Paakhi.
Sammy shot Raghav a look. He was making his
Princess Paakhi- okay fine maybe they were friends. But still.. making her eat that much chili sauce... Sammy watched as Paakhi slowly ate some. She took a few more spoons. After a while they were tears in Paakhi's eyes and she was coughing. Sammy quickly put a glass of water to her lips causing again for another eye lock.
Raghav started clearing his throat and Kalpi kept looking toward the ceiling. Finally, Raghav cleared his throat loudly causing Sammy and Paakhi to break out of their gaze. "Shall we leave?" he asked. The other three nodded and soon afterwards, they were all seated in the car once again and off to Singapore. Kalpi sat at the back with Paakhi who was too shy to sit with Sammy. Raghav sat at the driver's seat and started driving.
"
Sir, would you mind watching your speed?" Kalpi asked from the behind. "Of course, I am, stop lecturing me, okay?" Raghav replied irritatedly. "Relax, Kalpana" Sammy told her.
Every time Kalpi looked up she noticed that Raghav was driving faster and faster. Finally, she said, "Raghav pull the car to the side for a moment." "Why?" he asked. "Just do it" Kalpi said. Raghav nodded.
Unfortunately, when he put his foot down on the brakes they did not work. By now, their car was moving really fast. "
SIR, I told you to pull the car aside!" Kalpi said angrily. "Just shut up, Kalpana the breaks aren't working!: Raghav yelled back. Sammy said, "Watch out, Raghav!" as a truck was coming their way.
Kapoor Mansion:
Neetu kept complaining to Prem that she had no plans for Kalpi and Raghav. She told him to help her think of ideas. To her surprise, Prem flashed a grin. "Kya..?" she asked. "Meine kaam kar bhi diya hai" Prem told her. "Keisa kaam?" Neetu asked Prem. "Khabar milli hai ki Raghav, Sammy, aur Kalpana Goa jaare hai kutch office kaam se" Prem said turning around to face his mom. "Meine ek aadmi ko hire kiya hai usski car ke saath cher khaani karne keiye. Ab tak toh usski breaks fail ho chuki hogi." Prem grinned waiting for his mother's reaction. Neetu's face had gone pale. "Prem, have you gone mad! Paakhi was with the trio!" Prem's grin immediately vanished. "Kya?" Neetu nodded. "But she didn't tell me" Prem said. Neetu almost fell but Prem held her and helped her to sit on the couch. His forehead was covered in sweat by now and he had no idea what to do.
Meanwhile in the Car: Raghav immediately swerved his car. By now Kalpi and Paakhi were huddled together. "Who the- who did this!" Raghav yelled at the top of his lungs. Raghav immediately went on an empty road and tried to control the car. "Do you guys know how to swim?" Raghav asked worriedly. "H-haan" they said. "I'm driving this car into the lake, when I drive by each time open your doors and leap out into the water" Raghav said in a rush while he gripped the steering wheel very tightly. "Par Raghav..." Sammy started. "Tujhe meri kasam" Raghav threatened. "Sir" the girls started. "Just shut up and do as I say!" Raghav yelled. "Get ready Paakhi and Sammy!" As the car passed by Sammy and Paakhi flung open their doors and jumped out. "AAh...!" Kalpi heard Paakhi's scream before the car passed by.
Paakhi and Sammy rolled down into the lake.
"Ab next round mein tum jaana" Raghav told Kalpi. "I'm not leaving you alone sir" Kalpi said flat out. "Kalpi..." Raghav started as the lakeside got nearer and nearer. Raghav was shocked and helpless. Kalpi wasn't willing to leave him alone...
