Why would Raghav do what he did? I had a feeling that he didn't want to confess his love to Pakhi. I had a feeling that he wanted to tell Pakhi that he liked Kalpi (I had mentioned this in my first few posts on this forum). However, I just couldn't figure out why. I mean, Pakhi wouldn't be dying if he refuses her, right? Maybe it was due to the fact that he was aware of Pakhi's initial obsession with the pen that he gave to Kalpi that she had liked and wanted? Maybe he was counting on that one incident and thinking that she would not break down, but also want him so bad that it would hurt - sort of like an obsession rather than love? However, from how he has been shown, this seems too far-fetched. He seemed way too certain so I wouldn't think he would want to just count on that one childhood incident.
So, I thought that maybe he wanted to use the competitiveness between Kalpi and Pakhi in order to fuel Pakhi's feelings for him? In that case, Kalpi just became a pawn in his game. I don't want to believe that but that's what I could make sense.
Or did he only rush Pakhi's confession because his feelings for Kalpi were too overpowering and he had to make sure that he executes his plan before it comes to a point where he relents? In that case, did he change his strategy from going the Ishaqzaade way?
On the other hand, I can sort of understand Kalpi's reaction. I mean, she could have just been so shocked that she didn't know how to face him. First, she knew that it wasn't meant for her because he was addressing her as a third person. Second, the way he looked so shocked meant that he didn't want her to hear. Maybe she felt that she was intruding in something so intimate and got scared off? I mean, I did mention in my comment to someone that Kalpi may just make a run for it if Raghav were to tell her his feelings. She literally did make a run for it, because of how uncalled for it was. However, if CVs tried to make her develop feelings all of a sudden for him then I would be so pissed! Hopefully it's just what I think it is and nothing more.
Also, I am not sure if you noticed his expression when Pakhi expressed her feelings. He was vulnerable at that time, because Kalpi had unintentionally rejected him. He knew how terrible he felt, and that was the precise moment Pakhi has chosen. His expression showed guilt/shock (almost as if he didn't want her to confess) because he had known how it felt to be rejected. There was a crack in his facade today. My only hope is that something good comes out of it, and he doesn't move with revenge anymore. Especially after what he did! If Kapoors were to find out that he likes Kalpi then the first target would be Kalpi and she has already suffered so much because of them. He needs some serious making up for his character, because, as you said, that he was even willing to use Kalpi in his plan for revenge (even though he has strong feelings for her and her family actually helped her out so he could get out).
Hopefully, he holds remorse for what he has done and repents. If he doesn't then there are some really serious high voltage drama that will go on!
Either way, my brain is fried now and I am still no where near in figuring out what just happened.
PS: the girl who gave him her hand was definitely Pakhi! The worst part - Kalpi wouldn't just give her hand out for dance and shush him. That is not her character (unless she wanted to leave the guy speechless and wanted to make an impression on a stranger since she was wearing a mask?)
