Ten days passed in silence with no sign of Raghav Singhania. All Kalpi heard was Raghav is busy. As the days progressed so did her desperation to see Raghav who seems to be miraculously vanished into thin air. She tried calling his number under pretext of some work but nothing worked. "Damn you Khadoos Singhania she hissed as once again her call reached voice mail. She sometimes wondered why he had such a captivating effect on her; it wasn't that he was the only man she had ever met or known in her entire life. But unlike others he affected her in more than one way. And despite everything she is still there breaking her head to hear a mere "Hi from him.

With only two days left for proposal submission, Kalpi was working frenetically till late hours in the office library along with two more interns. All three of them wanted to win the prize money along with securing their position in Singhania Industries by cracking the prestigious bid. Though part of Kalpi wants to work with Singhania Industries she wasn't very sure to work with Raghav given the hot and cold relationship they share; but she desperately want her proposal to win for the sake of cash prize. Her designs getting applauded will be an added bonus.

The night before submission Kalpi is all alone in the office save for office attendant, busy fine tuning her proposal. It was one eventful day; that morning she finally got to hear his voice albeit through phone. Her desperation to hear Raghav died a quick death sensing indifference in his voice. Raghav called Kalpi ordering her to book private dinner for couple in his favourite restaurant. He made her jotted down a huge wish list; choice of cuisine, drinks, flowers, decoration blah...blah and by the end of phone call Kalpana was fuming. From the time she met him at campus interview he followed her like a shadow that never leaves its owner. His taunting glance made her aware of herself at every level. It was a constant torment on her soul to prove herself to him. How dare he do this to her? He was the kind of man she abhorred. He was too rich, arrogant, intimidating, ruthless too much of everything. Though in twisted ways he made her stand up with pride, fight with oddest situations with ease. Still she feels for him in strange ways.

Midst the constant battle of heart and brain, Kalpi hands are busy giving final touch to designs. Her reverie broke hearing commotion only to find the man of her thoughts standing at the entrance in an animated conversation over phone. He looked weak, pale & lost weight. Her heart swelled for a moment seeing his distraught form. She got herself busied in the work shutting down her wandering thoughts. She was so lost in work she did take notice of time; it was close to half past 11 in the night when her phone buzzed breaking her trance. She picked the receiver absentmindedly; her trance broke immediately hearing Raghav's voice booming from the other end. Ms. Jadhav why are you up so late?? Don't tell me you have doubled up as night watchman in my absence, chided Raghav! I was working on a proposal she replied. Wind it up for the day and leave before it's too late, your parents must be worried he said cutting the call. Kalpi quickly called her baba to inform about her position finding his missed calls and got back to work. While she got engrossed in work unaware of the surroundings pair of eyes are fixed on her lithe frame as if his very survival is dependent on her.

After almost an hour she collected her things and left the office with a pleasant smile adoring her tired face. She was confident of her proposal making through the final cut. Taxi was waiting at the gate much to her surprise, thanks to Khadoos Singhania. She silently thanked him for the little gesture; unknown to her the man himself is on duty. He religiously followed the taxi till Kalpi reached home safely. Next day to every one's surprise Kalpi proposal lost to another intern and won second prize. Raghav was so disappointed with the outcome, even more than Kalpi. He was expecting her proposal to clean sweep the board, alas. Next day being the big day he pulled himself to work so were other staff!

Much to everyone's surprise Kapoor constructions came for the bid; and to the top of it their presentation was exact replica of the plan Singhania board approved for the presentation. Raghav lost his cool and left presentation room forgetting the decorum. Sammy followed suit. Kalpi was engrossed in some file when Raghav walked in to office. How much they paid you Ms.Jadhav, he asked without any preamble. His roaring voice brought her to reality and she looked at him perplexed. How much they paid for giving off our final proposal, he repeated. If you are in so dire need of money, should have asked me. Why the hell you went to Kapoor's he roared again. Kalpi stood dumbfounded; more than insult she felt hurt with Raghav's accusations. How he can think of me so low, she thought to herself & her eyes turned moist. Whole office is brought to standstill but no one dared to support Kalpana. Sammy tried his best to reason out but Raghav turn deaf ear. More than losing the project losing to Kapoor's left him fuming to no ends. Though for a moment his heart swelled seeing her pained eyes anger got the better off him. He left office without giving Kalpi even a chance to explain her stand.

Everyone got back to their place once Raghav left; there is an eerie silence in the office. Entire office is split into groups; some feeling sorry for her while others doubtful and some confused on what to believe. He called Sammy to meet her once and left the office collecting her things.
