"Raghav I am thinking to back out from the corporation low cost housing project" said Sammy taking his seat. Taking Raghav's questioning look he continued... "We have two weeks time to submit the proposal, given the hefty load of pending projects we running I don't think this is practically worth to go ahead with the new project, he said. "But Sammy, don't you think our decision to back out from this project will affect our investments and might also affect our reputation in the industry, asked Raghav

"I agree it will affect us to some extent... but profit margin is very less and moreover the construction site is outside the city and given the size of the project we have to run a separate office for daily operations. And the biggest problem is dealing with huge demands of government officials, concluded Sammy.

"How about backing out from the project after winning the tender so that we don't have to worry about our reputation and all we will lose is tender deposit amount, which is pretty low compared to the profit we are making by winning the project, said Raghav after a while.

Hmm...sounds good, but Yaar we already blocked our upcoming presentations and staff work plans are approved; we can accomodate the financial presentation but there is no way we can complete the designs on time, replied Sammy.

"what about using interns for making designs...I am sure Kalpana will come up some exciting presentations and you can take the final call" Sammy said after a couple of minutes.

"Come on Sammy, don't tell me you aren't aware of our HR policy...we can't exploit interns with the meagre pay we are offering, they are here for training not to shoulder the responsibilities of the company" he replied exasperatedly.

"What about the final appraisals, are you done with it... I guess you're planning to absorb couple of them" he asked hastily eager to hear about Kalpi but Sammy didn't reply much to Raghav's irritation!

We'll see into that later I have to leave now, Sammy said getting up from the chair...Hmm, I forgot to tell keep yourself free by 9 pm we have a party to attend, he said in business tone.

"Yaar Sammy you know I don't celebrate birthday, he said. "Oh Hello, who said it's your birthday party...you please don't expect any surprises for me" mocked Sammy. "Whatever my night is already planned I have dinner meeting with Mr.Singh" said Raghav. Ignoring Raghav's words Sammy called Snighdha inside and asked her to reschedule his appointments.

"Sir, I have already rescheduled all the appointments and Sir is free from 6 pm but Snigdha what about dinner with Mr.Singh, he'll be out of station for one week intervened Raghav. Sir I have invited Mr. Singh to the party she replied promptly. After she left the cabin Sammy smirked ..." Mr.Singhania if you are done with the silly excuses better be prepared by 8pm" and left leaving fuming Raghav behind!

Hey Kalpana aren't you done yet everyone has left...today we have permission to leave early asked Snigdha. Yeah almost done just ten more minutes replied Kalpi in a low tone. What's up girl you are sounding so low...are you not feeling well? Asked Snigdha. Nothing to worry I am good said Kalpi without meeting Snigdha's eyes.

Oh no...don't tell me you had spat with Raghav Sir again...I thought you guys have graduated nursery, teased Snigdha. Raghav who was passing by the corridor stopped hearing his name... No, nothing with Sir, Kalpi replied hastily. Then what is it...why are looking worried??

After much coaxing Kalpi said she is in dire need of fifty thousand rupees as she promised her brother to help him out in setting his own shop as her father is against the idea of business. But Kalpana you are giving almost the entire stipend to your parents, I haven't seen you spending on a single new dress in the past five months...I don't think you have saved any money for yourselves then how will you give him the money asked Snigdha.

I don't now but I have to...till now my family spent all their resources on my education at the cost of my dada. I went to best schools & collages while he studied in government institutions with insufficient facilities.

Hmm...why so urgent you can help him out after settling in the job, asked Snigdha. Actually he applied for loan under some scheme and he need to pay one lakh rupees as beneficiary share in 3o days... He borrowed some amount from his friends still we need fifty thousand rupees said Kalpi.

What will you do now asked Snigdha. I don't know what to do... Even for applying loan in the office I have to get confirmation which will take 2 more weeks said Kalpi. No, you aren't eligible for loan unless you put in minimum 6 months of service, said Snigdha. Doesn't worry I'll adjust the finance you can give back to me in 3-4 months she continued taking Kalpi's worried face.

Please Snigdha I don't want to bring money into our friendship, I already owe you a lot replied Kalpi. Oh my spare me from this emotional trauma, she mocked Kalpi to ease the situation. As your confirmation is just a formality given your appraisals why don't you ask Raghav Sir to sanction the loan, I am sure he'll... said Snigdha. He won't"... came an immediate reply from Kalpi. Are you sure, asked Snigdha. I am pretty much sure, he won't amend company rules for anyone...instead he'll prefer to help me from his pocket and that I don't want, she replied stubbornly.

Sir will definitely help you Kalpana, just go and ask him said Snigdha. I didn't say he won't help...he'll help Kamala Bai's daughter nor Kalpana Jadhav said Kalpi. Now what is it with Kamala Bai's daughter and Kalpana, aren't they both the same, asked Snigdha with little irritation. For you both are same but not for Raghav Singhania...he'll go to any lengths for helping Kamala Bai's family not for Kalpana Jadhav and I want to get recognised with my own identity not with my mother. He is very particular with rules so no way he'll sanction me loan, if he is not particular with rules he'd have never made me work under Pakhi...as technically Pakhi is the topper and my results are withheld said Kalpi. Raghav was thoroughly surprised with Kalpi's words wondering how the hell she read his mind so well.

Fine we'll discuss it tomorrow if nothing works out I'll give you the money ...no more arguments on this said Snigdha. And If we are done with this... shall we leave, we are running late for the party said Snigdha. Give me a break I am not used to all this...you enjoy the party, I'll go home said Kalpi. No way I am going alone to the party...mark my words today you'll rock the party and I'll make sure every jerk will drool on you...including your Khadoos Boss, he might not show that openly though, teased Snigdha. After lot of cajoling Kalpi gave into Snigdha words and left with her informing her Baba about the party. Learning about Kalpi's presence Raghav is more than enthusiastic for the party and left to home after doing a couple of phone calls with a permanent smile etched on his face.

"I will just freshen up what is the need of party wear, said Kalpi. Oh hello for your information we are not going for any condolence ...have you ever heard of appropriate dressing, people go all dressed up for the parties...so just shut up and choose the dress, Snigdha cut off Kalpi's words guiding her to the wardrobe. Kalpi reluctantly choose a saree instead of dress but Snigdha made her to try couple of dresses and finally zeroed on magenta colour ankle length gown. She made kalpi's hair into a loose bun leaving a couple of twirls on both sides. They kept the makeup simple with blusher to highlight her cheek bones and lip gloss; She worked on Kalpi's beautiful eyes highlighted them giving smoky effect. Long Silver danglers and bracelet completed her dressing.

Snigdha whistled softly turning Kalpi towards the mirror...Kalpi stood dumbstruck for a moment taking into the gorgeous image in the mirror...it took her a moment to accept it is indeed her own image. Snigdha teased her to the core making Kalpi blush silly. Today you'll hog all the lime light leaving poor birthday boy to sulk over you, she teased. Birthday, you said we are going for surprise dinner party organised by the company, asked Kalpi. Oops...I forgot to tell you surprise party is to celebrate Raghav Sir's birthday replied Snigdha. Come on, its time to knock people off their feet winked Snigdha teasingly earning a blush from Kalpi. Without taking Kalpi's protests, Snigdha bought stilettos and clutch to go with Kalpi's dress. Chill, I won't go bankrupt by spending couple of thousands and don't worry one day I'll make you pay for all this, she said playfully. Kalpana just enjoy the evening without any hesitation or apprehensions, she added. Kalpi nodded silently her eyes slightly welling up with Snigdha's warmth !

Kalpi and Snigdha reached the banquet hall at around 8.30 pm; the night has just started with guests dropping in. As Snigdha led her to the banquet hall Kalpi saw the place in awe. Almost all the heads in the hall turned to catch a glimpse of the two gorgeous young ladies making their entry. Raghav Singhania who just entered the hall silently laughed with a sense of pride at the men staring at Kalpi...in no time his pride turned in jealousy and hissed in anger at the shameless wantons. He could not believe she is the same girl he used to see in skirts and sleeveless tops

After a couple of minutes Snigdha excused to check the arrangements. It took her more time than she thought and Kalpi was feeling alone. It is the first time she is attending a high profile party; She was never been to a high profile corporate event; the hall is more than half full with couples, single men and women; most of the women are in western wear, evening gowns, business suits and designer sarees busy discussing about stock market, dividends, targets and repo rates while some are busy talking about kitty parties and charity events.

Seeing the hush-hush of party mostly full of elite successful working men and women Kalpi felt out of place and wanted to disappear. Suddenly she heard his voice from the other end of the hall; Raghav who was busy with some guests saw Kalpi looking distraught, nervous and lost...he came towards her. Kalpi never felt so happy seeing him come to her than today. He walked up to her silently and stood enthralled by her beauty, she looked even more beautiful than he ever saw her. His thoughts and eyes betraying the raw desire seeping through his senses, enveloping and taking over him completely...while his mind tried hard not to stare at her alluring form. She felt tingles jolting down her body with his unwavering gaze and turned her face unable to take his boring eyes. Amidst this she didn't miss the bewitching charm her Khadoos boss has on the crowds and woman are literally drooling over his looks. She didn't missed the angry and jealous glares of the female crowd seeing him with her and a tiny smile adorned her lips remembering Snigdha's words !

As soon as I enter the venue my eyes search for her around the hall. There she is...laughing beautifully, god she has such a loving smile, infectious...I could never get enough of her. I gasp aloud seeing her beautiful form; my eyes follow her intently glued to her back; oh my...she is looking ravishing in that sexy magenta colour gown which fitted her like second skin... the delicate fabric is highlighting her curves hugging her possessively. Her stunning form, slender neck, feminine curves...I devour her with eyes and my need for her is growing even more, it's like a physical ache. My eyes settle on her exposed back, my fingers yearn to touch her skin to feel her smoothness, feel the tickling sensation she experiences every time I touch her. She is looking indeed very beautiful, gorgeous, intoxicating yet simple and dignified drawing huge attention from the crowd much to my annoyance !

I lost the count of time with my eyes fixed to her back; suddenly she turned around throwing a knowing look at me. Did she catch me staring at her? Can she feel my piercing gaze? Did she want me the way I want her? We stare at each other with longing. Could it be that she feels the same? Or I am misreading her?? I so want to talk to her, but what would she'll say?? The thought of having this beautiful woman in my life throbbed my heart with pride and possessiveness and my heart swelled with unknown joy and pain. With every passing moment my thoughts are getting raunchier and the band starts playing "I finally found someone"

Everyone started taking the dance floor and the place has turned truly romantic with subtle lighting, couples crooning for the melodious songs, god why I am tested like this...I am not any saint...bloody hormonal for not getting affected by the beautiful damsel. I'd to put extra effort to keep my hands off from her ravishing body; for not pulling her into my arms kissing her long throat, caressing her silky tresses and running my hands on her bare back...for not crushing her slender petals with mine and kissing her wildly...Gosh, my thoughts are running crazy with passion and need!!

Bryan Adams magical voice filled the room when the words started sinking, I felt he is singing my heart, voicing my feelings, my dreams and my love for her. Memories of our journey started flashing in front of my eyes; from the first time I set my eyes on her to the passionate dreams I had...my temperature is rising and senses wild and I yearn for her more than I ever did...!! She makes me complete...she makes me whole! All my life I was walking aimlessly in quest of peace & love that kept alluding me, now I understand my search ended with her... she is my love...my abode, I accept reluctantly

The song and the poignant lyrics waft through me like a gentle breeze...so true ! Suddenly I hear Sammy calling both of us to the dance floor...hearing his voice my heart did a little somersault. On any other day I would have killed Sammy for this but today this is all I want...I am dying to touch her, to hold her in my arms. I laugh sheepishly staring at her hesitatingly not knowing how to ask, my eyes fixed on her. I walk to her slowly and extend my hand as if in dream, she places her palm in mine blushing slightly !

And the band begins to play "You decorated my life"; I pull her closer from waist and she put her other hand on my shoulder. We move slowly, awkwardly in the beginning and slowly we swayed with confidence. My hold tightens on her waist and I hear her gasp aloud. With her in my arms, my resolve is melting and inhibitions are slipping off. I look at her lovingly she smiles sweetly, her cheeks reddened with blush. This is the dream I always had, having her in my arms which lived over and again in my dreams, but the moment is better than any of my imaginations. My heart thanks god praying silently for the beautiful moment with her, the moment I cherish forever. As we swayed in unison, our bodies collided with each other, meeting and touching...I am overwhelmed with love, desire and passion. She is resting her head on my shoulders and I'm swaying slowly for the tune forgetting rest of the crowd. I have lost all control over my senses, holding her so close to me. Her petite form perfectly fitted in my arms...her delicate features are arousing my manliness!

I knew she is what I always wanted...with her I found everything; peace, joy, happiness and bliss. She has filled my barren life with her affection; if there is anything like heaven...I have found that in her. I slightly brushed my lips in the crook of her neck inhaling her sweetness, I can feel her shivering under my touch; I smirked inwardly realising the effect I had on her...she slowly raised her head to look at me and our eyes met briefly; I feel something beautiful, unspoken, and unsaid passed between us...a silent communication and acceptance. I close my eyes feeling content, devouring her feeling against me. Time has stopped as we continued to sway to our hearts content. I felt her hold loosing over my shoulder and opened my eyes to hear huge applause from the crowd, hooting and howling. I grin sheepishly looking at the crowd losing my hold and she left the dance floor slightly blushing ...!!
