I suddenly realized what I was doing and turned my face to the other side. Suddenly my phone started ringing, it was Aunt Shilpa. I tried to talk to her but I couldn't hear her voice properly. So I went outside and talked to her, she asked me how I was doing? I assured her I was fine. After hanging up I went back inside the cafe to find that the group has disappeared and that guy too. I finished my coffee and went straight to the hospital. Aunt was happy to know that I loved the lake. After dinner I went straight to my room. I was tired so I fall asleep quickly. I saw him in my dreams. His olive green eyes and his infectious smile, that's all what I saw. I woke up around 7 and did the usual household work. After breakfast I decided to visit the book shop Aunt was telling me about. She knew how much I loved reading. Aunt insisted me to take the car but I preferred walking. I loved to be in the country. Finally I found the bookshop. An elderly man welcomed me with a smile. I was going through the books. Suddenly I saw a book lying on the floor. I picked it up. "'As You Like It' by William Shakespeare" I read the name aloud.
"Hmm are you talking to me?" a voice said. I raised my head to see who it was, and it was him! The same guy from the cafe. He was looking at me with his beautiful green eyes and smiling. I tried not to act weird. "No I was just reading this." I said nervously.
"As You Like It by William Shakespeare, nice. You like reading, eh?" he said taking the book from my hand.
"Yeah" I replied.
"Yeah?" he questioned sarcastically.
"I mean what do you like to read, fiction or nonfiction?" he asked looking at the back cover of the book.
"Well, I like both but I like fiction more I mean you know it's not real so..."
"So? You're afraid of reality?" he smirked.
"No...what?"
"Nothing, I am sorry my social skills fail me sometimes". He said raising his eyebrows.
"BTW I am Raghav."
"I am Kalpana ."
"Kalpana dreams..?"
"Excuse me?"
"I am sorry it was a joke. I apologize. So are you buying the book?"
"That's the book I have been looking for", I said walking to the next aisle and grabbing the book.
"Wuthering Heights?" he asked.
"Yeah, I have read it twice but I lost my copy. I want to read it again."
"What is it about?" he asked curiously.
"It's a classic. Don't you know?"
"No, I don't read."
"Then what are you doing here?"
"Well, my friend asked me to meet him here but he didn't show up, so I thought why not take a look around, you know?"
"Okay."
"So are you new here?" he asked changing the topic.
"I am sorry I have to have to leave now. It was nice meeting you."
"You didn't answer my question. Are you new here?" he asked. I could sense the annoyance in his voice.
"Yes, I am."
"Tourist?" he asked.
"I am here to visit my sick Aunt."
"Okay, It was nice meeting you too Kalpana." he said smilingly.
I couldn't believe I just talked to him. I paid for the book and walked out of the shop, he was following me.
"So, are you familiar with the tourist spots or you need a guide?" he was almost shouting as I was walking ahead of him.
"No, thank you" I said.
He smiled walking towards me.
"Okay, "Miss I am on my own" Listen, my friend is throwing up a party tonight, would you like to come? It would be fun."
"Well, no but thanks for asking."
"You know you don't have to say no to everything I ask."
"Really? And why is that? I don't even know you."
"This party would be a great opportunity for you to know me."
"I am not interested." I said warning him.
He smiled and said, "I'll see you tonight at the party." and left.
I stood there for a while wondering what just happened.

We were done with the dinner and Aunt was talking about mom and dad. She was my dad's sister but they were not much close. However, my mom and Aunt were very close. Dad never told us what was the issue but I guess mom knew.
Suddenly we were interrupted by the knock on the door.
"Let me get it" I said walking towards the door.
I opened the door. There was a girl and she was smiling.
"Hi I am Tania ." She introduced herself.
"Hi. Do I know you?" I asked.
"Not you. Can I come in?" she asked with a fake smile.
"Sure." I made way for her.
"Hello Ms. Jadav.."
"Hello Tania how are you?" my aunt asked with a smile. She knew her.
"I am good." She replied.
"And how is everyone at home?"
"They are all well." She said with the same fake smile.
"Kalpi, she is Tania my neighbor's daughter. Tania she is Kalpi my niece." My aunt introduced us to each other.
"Hey Tania."
"Hey. I saw you this morning. We're having a small party at our place so I thought and mom too that we should invite you too." Tania said.
I looked at aunt's face she nodded. "That's a great idea."
"I don't want to go." I said.
"You should beta, it would be a nice change. You will meet new people." My aunt forced me.
"But I don't even know them."
"That's not an issue. You know me now. Trust me you're going to have a lot of fun." Tania said with a confident smile.
"Go Kalpi, I'll be fine." Aunt assured me.
"Okay, let me go and change then."
I went upstairs and wore my favorite black top with crystal embroidery and black long skirt , put on some make up and rush downstairs.
"Aah you're ready. Let's go."Tania said with excitement.
"Are you sure you're going to be fine?" I asked Aunt.
"Yes, now you go and have a good time." She said smiling.
I could hear the music as soon as I stepped out of the door.
"Trust me it'll be fun." Tania assured me.
We went to her house. It was very big modern house which a rare in that area. We entered the house. The room was filled with people. Tania grabbed my hand and took me to her parents.
"She is pia. Ms. Jadhav's niece."
"Hello Kalpi"
"Hello" I smiled.
"do you like here?" her mom asked with the same fake smile.
"Yes, it's a beautiful place." I smiled back.
"Come on Kalpi let me introduce you to my friends." Tania interrupted.
We took their leave and Tania dragged me to another room. People were dancing there and having fun.
"There" she directed me and dragged me.
"Hey guyz" she waved at them.
"Who are you waving at?" I asked her curiously.
"Come on" she said.
She took me to the couch where I saw the face I never expected to see.
"Guyz she is Kalpi my neighbor's niece."
"Kalpi these are my friends." She then introduced them to me one by one.
"And he is Raghav." At last she said his name.
Raghav stood up and smiled at me. "I am so glad you could make it." He said sarcastically.
"You two know each other?" Tania asked.
"Yea, we met at the caf." Raghav replied.
"Okay."Tania replied inquisitively.
"Wanna dance?" a guy asked Tania .
"Sure" she said and they both left.
I looked at Raghav, he was still smiling. I was angry now because I knew there was something fishy. I walked out of the room into the drawing room; I opened the door to leave the house when he thrust closed it.
"Hey, where are you going?" he asked.
"I knew it was your plan" I said folding my hands.
"Plan? What plan".
"You asked Tania to invite me here, didn't you?"
"No, I didn't. I just "suggested" that it would be a good idea to invite your lonely neighbor's niece to the party and show her our hospitality."
"And how do you know that I am the niece of Tania's lonely neighbor?" I asked frowning.
"It's a small world, you know."
"Yeah... whatever now tell me how did you know?"
He laughed and said, "Last night I was here, just walking you know and then I saw you at the window looking at the moon. BEAUTIFUL !! not the moon, you." He winked.
"Listen it's not going to work" I said.
"What's not going to work?"
"I have to go." I said.
"Please, don't."
And I stayed. It was a pleasant evening. Everyone was having fun. Raghav tried to talk to me several times but Tania and other girls kept him busy.
