TOI: Ranjeev n Punit in Ek hazaro

Cinevistaas' Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on Star Plus is all set to witness the entry of two new families. A Punjabi and South Indian family is expected to soon enter the show.

TV actor Ranjeev Verma last seen in Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and Puneet Sachdev of Bidaai fame will be seen playing pivotal roles on the show.


Sources inform that Puneet's on-screen character Vikram will be in love with a south Indian girl whose parents will be against their marriage. Hence, in order to get the couple united, Vikram will request Virat (Kushal Tandon) and his family to pretend being south Indians. So, that the girl's family gets convinced of their marriage. Ranjeev Verma, who played the role of Jugnu Mama in Geet will play the role of Puneet's father on the show. Vikram's love interest will be played by Charu Mehra and a host of actors like Poonam Labana, Deepali Garcha, Rajesh Dubey, Geeta Shankar and Habib will enter the show.

When contacted, Puneet confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am doing the show and I am playing the role of Virat's friend who visits the Vadhera family to attend Maanvi and Virat's wedding anniversary."
