Agree. They start with viren and jeevika and always end with viraat and maanvi. Why cant give seperate track to virika except just taking part in all family problems.

By saying no offence – doesn't mean that you are not offending. People wonder why there are so many splits in the show and also highlights the maturity of the fans. (I suppose I can also say no offence meant to anyone or didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings!)

I am (WAS) actually a fan of the show. Love the sisterly bonding, brothers love, arrange and love relationship, sis/brother duo etc etc.

If you start comparing those tracks to be honest same could be said for any of the Virman or Jeeman tracks. Every time some things else takes the limelight away from the supposed main track. Classic was M's cancer ending where Virat was sidelined or their wedding where J was being totally immature. Its lack of execution ability on CV's part – no need to have dig Virman or any other characters in the show.

Cancer track was shown for more then six mths,virika/jeevika were shown for like 2 weeks in this(towards the end) n thts bothering u so much?

None of the track working or not working is an isolated incident in this show. It has happened to each of the couples and each of the track time and again. Cancer track will always bother me (as I have personal history with my son). This was the main reason I started watching this show – as it promised something totally different for Indian TV soaps. That track was totally butchered as they spend too much time hiding than showing any medical effectiveness or even raise awareness around it.

I am not hear to argue – not even sure why I responded as I normally don't get involved in this sort discussions – life is too short for these – again from personal experience. i am out of this now! thank you

@Jigna dii (Js1234) : 👍🏼 Awesome reply! This has to come from a person who's had a personal confrontation with cancer, rather than the fans wailing of not getting enough screenspace of a particular jodi. Sure, am a VirMan fan, but i agree to your reply just as a fellow human, above the divides of belonging to a particular fan base! Loved the reply!

*pops in* I agree with js1234. The cancer track was weak.
That aside, I think that it's important to keep in mind that the show is based on two sisters and how their fates are intertwined -- meaning that neither of them can have a track that's independent -- i.e. without the involvement of the other, in some way.
E.g. all the "events" with Viren/Jeevika had Maanvi involved somehow and vice versa. It's not a show based on the couples alone, i.e. Viraat/Maanvi and Viren/Jeevika. In terms of romantic sequences, I do believe that the writers provide romance on both sides. But the show's foundation is, ultimately, the sisters.
I'm not a fan of Viraat/Maanvi or Viren/Jeevika. Thus I'm not attached to the couples.
But playing the devil's advocate here, I'd suggest that one looked at the character development of Maanvi as well as Jeevika. Jeevika was stepping into a new phase in her life. We've witnessed her gradual growth [in relation to her feelings for Viren and how she settled into her new life]. But Jeevika always was and remains a consistent character -- responsible, mature, considerate, etc. Maanvi, on the other hand, has always been a firecracker and one to react emotionally to changes [especially regarding her sister's life].
Throughout the Viren/Jeevika phases, I think that it was significant to show how Maanvi, being an irresponsible and immature and all-over-the-place persona, dealt with changes. The huge, frightening changes that made her feel that she was losing Jeevika. That she pulled immature stunts to cause roadblocks during those phases had a lot to do with that fear and uncertainty and her bond to Jeevika.
Character wise, Maanvi had a long way to go and since Jeevika was the major fact in her life that constantly kept her afloat -- then whatever happened in Jeevika's life had a huge impact on Maanvi and she developed according to it. The thing about the characters of Jeevika and Maanvi is that one can't view them as individual characters -- they've lived a symbiotic existence for the most part of their lives and that hasn't changed even after their marriages.
Whether it's healthy or not is another debate entirely.
But the truth remains that whatever happens in one sister's life, it impacts the other sister. E.g. when Jeevika had her accident, the focus was on the consequences. Viren's blaming himself to the point that he couldn't forgive himself and his begging Maanvi; and Maanvi's shock over how she couldn't save her own sister because she was sick and the hatred it invoked in Viren that she refused to donate her blood.
Basically, I feel that the writers gave importance to other relationships on the show as well during such intense phases [e.g. Viren/Maanvi]. Just like Jeevika and Viraat had their own moments and relationship growth.
In the end, it's Jeevika/Maanvi and their entangled lives in the forefront. Even now, it'll be Jeevika and Maanvi confronting Karan about his deeds -- together. Though I'd like to point out that the reason Maanvi became the "detective" has more to do with how writers have established her character than anything else -- she's curious of nature and it often gets her in trouble, as we know. Thus it was logical that she'd suspect Karan and not Jeevika. However, the writers have been equally fair to the character of Viren -- as a lawyer, he has a sharp mind and suspects Karan too.
Kher. Just my two cents. Don't shoot :)
