Like I could get it if the child was born out of wedlock, but if she was legitimately married to the father then how exactly could DJ, a well respected judge go about telling his daughter that the child is dead; would that not institute in some for of crime?

(Rofl, I think we're going a bit berserk in out hypothetical situations :P)

Heck maannn .. my head spinning with all this

somehow "Khandaan Ki Izzat " has a prominent role in all this - the basis for SB's life being so desolate is this very own "Khaandaan ki izzat"

that is not a crime per se.. in India.. he did not kill the baby is still alive but told as still born for what "Khandaan Ki Izzat " agar shaadi hui toh issme KKI kahan fit hoti yaar ..

Take my sig, in what Indian show would a wife go up and hit her husband because he got her pregnant.

I really don't mind not having negative characters but you need grey characters. How are you suppose to have a show without anything to stir up drama. If everyone is prefect, then how do things gone wrong?

As I haven't watched, where the family upset as Virat and Maanvi did not check in once they reached?As there is a very logical reason for that. They are young and newly married so that is not the first thing that will occur to them. I have made that mistake many times before. I've gone out somewhere far by myself and forget to call that I have reached and then got a call an hour or so later to make sure I got there safely.

Munni do u remember Inder telling SB " what abt the Khandaan ki izzat when u left the house for the other guy"... Was he hinting tat she eloped with him? If then she would have realised tat the guy was bad and returned home pregnant and DJ would have done things for KKI

Munni its EHMMBH , and the point is that these CVs have taken a kasam not to show any character grey or negative even to show them as realistic... Jaiswal and Maya being the exceptions... And even maya was just shown as a mean character...They show them realistic only in the positive way...

Wait until the CVs make a turn and justify Karan for all his deeds just making him positive too..

Each character is expected to be perfect... And one who is not is named irresponsible... And what was that really calling Mannu irresponsible for not making a call... I was like Duh...Why cant the elders make a call and inquire ,like how dabbu and chachi called...

When ppl were crying over lame HM i was disappointed over scenes like this..
And as u said Munni they have made J from being THE sister to just a bahu... I really was disappointed by the way they had shown J thinking of the family even before appreciating maanvi on her being selected... I mean she is J..Why show her like that now..I know i am drifting off topic...But then could not keep from writing...

good lord .. Ekta kapoor is in my veins LOL .. she never let go off me... last 12 years watching Ekta's shows day in and day out - kuch toh asar hota na

Anne .. I myself said many a times that the lack of negative or a bit grey characters in making it tough for EHM to be logical and gripping and you are right all characters are to be perfect and sweet except 2 characters ...

Ohhh I am 100 percent sure Karan would be justified - and he is gonna be a sweet cousin of VV broz

today Karan was not angry looking at the picture.. he was anguished and he was in deep despair - but not the anger of over 20 plus years..I was a bit - ok there you go another positive guy...

I was saying the same Anne in someother thread.. why couldn't they call .. but J called right ..so what's the big deal.. phone is a 2 way .. not that they don't have the phone balance to make calls 😆
they can as well call her..

@pink . well i saw that .. khair .. chodo ..

Right so they were upset about them not calling, will have to watch to get frustrated tomorrow.

Munni, In my veins! Lol I've been listening to that song for the last two weeks that the line cracked me up. Ekta has made history on tv, no one can doubt that but she took things to the extreme. There needs to be a balance.

@Pj:

Yes they were upset that Virat and maanvi had not called on reaching..(But then Jeevs had called and she knew they had reached)... And there was this whole discussion on how irresponsible mannu is and how she is not a good bahu when compared to Jeevs who is an adarsh bahu...

And abt grey characters: I think its the problem with the indian viewers... Its difficult for them to accept a character who is tainted as a lead... They will go on to accept the male lead if he was shown grey but never the female... A female is expected to be ideal...And she is expected to change the male lead of his flaws and then marry him... So Movie makers/media does not opt for it generally...

But m happy with EHMMBH tat they came out to show atleast one lead pair real and with flaws...

Virat and Maanvi are the two characters they show close to real, with a decent amount of flaws in them ..but they are called irresponsible for not calling home from their honeymoon... heck i love it when they are called immature and irresponsible by the family . because that makes these to closer to real characters... and rest of the characters are maintaining the decorum of the perfectly perfect people.. like a trophy on the mantle

even i don't call .. so may be i am not the adarsh bahu and i am the irresponsible one lol

Anne i remember that .. which is why I keep saying the Khandaan Ki Izzat is the crux of it all .. whatever happened in the past is because of the khandaan ki izzat .. which is why it is glorified every other day ...

she might have ran away .. but what about the wedding pics and what about the wedding pics and mangalsutra.. - conphusssing
