I hope my friends, you all still remember the Jeevika who-- 1. Promised her mother to take care of her younger sister and be a mother to her. 2. Defended Manvi in front of Beeji everytime. 3. Promised to be like a brother to her as well 4. Was ready to call off her wedding if Manvi couldn't attend. 5. Whose 'zindagi', 'parchai', 'saaya' and whatever else was her behen. Well where is she now? I only see a ghost of her in the show now. The new Jeevika after marriage has become just an improved, sophisticated trophy bahu of Swamini & the Vadhera madhouse. I have heard marriage changes ppl, but never knew their personalities took such sharp hairpin turns. It's scary.
And where are the sisters who couldn't breathe without talking to each other?
Whatever happened to Manvi's illness? The girl who used to cough and faint and get rashes on the skin seems a distant memory now. Now, she hasn't even a hint of fatigue when she runs around.
Who is Maya? Where is she? Was that a figment of our/virat's imaginations or does she exist?
What exactly is the role of VirMan? Remember the shopping mall scene we all had loved so much? The duo who had felt a little awkwardness after just holding hands do not feel anything after a hug, a road trip, a night alone in a hotel room etc. No development whatsoever. Okay, the nok-jhoks r cute, but is that all that is to their relationship?
Where is the Virat who refused to attend his brother's wedding if Manvi doesn't attend? Where is the guy who deliberately accepted defeat just to see her smiling? (joota chupana scene.)
So chachu loses the case, and Manvi is blamed. What was even the point of this track? So we are again back to where we were. Manvi wants to do something good, she does, it goes wrong, and she is blamed. The same old cycle. How original! It would have helped if the track paved in for some development in the VirMan angle, but that too is not the case.
Where are the chaudhary's, and Dr.Manan? I guess they have been conveniently kept away for the whole Vadhera drama.
And lastly, where is Jaiswal with his 'not-so-sharp' shooter now?
Too many open tracks, now reduced to being loose ends in the story. I have seen such things happen when the directors/writers of a show change in the middle of it, but I had, for once hoped it wouldn't be the same with this show at least. I guess, I am destined to be disappointed.
