See keeping personal vendetta is bad. It not only hurts the other person but will hurt you also. But demanding justice is not. When we are demanding justice we are trying to do our duty without expecting result. When we keep personal vendetta our vision is on the result that is fall of other person. So our actions stray and we forget every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
In EHT Durga is seeking Revenge. The battle has become a personal one for her as she wants to see the downfall of Goenka's. Ideally it should have been justice for Payal. If it has been for justice she wouldn't have needed this mask. She could have been near her sister , took care of her and helped in her recovery.
She need not have to see her love rot in jail and fight attack on his life. Dr Dayal is helping her to take Revenge by hiding her identity. Wouldn't his money and status would have helped her to seek justice in the right way. I mean find clues and proofs to reopen Payal rape case in court.
She could have done the battle of justice as Nithya. It would have been difficult and emotional turmoil would have been there but still when you look back you will have a clear conscience.
Now what has happened. Has her personal vendetta helped anyone really. Has it helped Payal. She suffered one more attack. Even though her sister is alive she is deprived of that love.
Dev pines day in day out for Nithya. Even while standing in front of him the personal vendetta has ensured she cannot reveal her identity to him.
And has it helped her. She sees both her sister and lover asking her to come back to them and she has gone so much into the web now that she cannot retrace the steps. That is what personal vendetta does to you. In the end you will not be happy either as you are not sure whether your loved ones will accept you after they know what you have done.
Suchitra actually gave Durga a very valuable lesson. Value what you have that what you lost. Durga always thought about her dead parents than her living sister. She wanted to avenge their death than make her sister stand on her feet. It was about her parents insult, parents death than her existing sister's cure. It is because she now and then remembered her parents funeral she doesn't want to live if she didn't extract the revenge. If Durga had valued Payal more than anything else she would have wanted to live, her memories while taking decisions wouldn't have been funerals, insults but her sister's smiling face. And she would have once again taken the right route that is the route of law to bring the Perpetua's of crime to justice
Only justice can give peace, not revenge.
