There was Nitya trying to get a job, get a house and support her family. She was fightingcase alone. Not ready to take things lying down. It shows her self reliance and guts. Whereas this man was spineless and dependent from day one!
What has he ever even done for his own family?
Now squandering hard earned money of father and uncle!
He once told Rajnath he was not interested in business. So what was he interested in? Writing love songs?
There is responsibility of kids to grow up and even make their parents realise if they are going wrong. They have to be support to parents also. More so if it is the only son of a widowed mother. Did he ever make Suchitra realise how bullied they both were? Did he ever question her why they lived like this? Did he take a stand or even notice how rude Goenkas were to his mom?
I have seen enough father-less kids in my life. Heck! Even girls become more protective and stronger towards their mother and themselves! And I am talking of middle class families. Not even rich and loaded families like Goenkas.
Even ordinary people know difficulties of poor people in even filing a case let alone fight. But it seems Dev had no idea of this.
Why was he in doubt? Either Goenkas are lying or Mitras were. If he didn't believe Goenkas were lying then it means Mitras were. Why is he close to Payal if he doesn't trust her and isn't sure whether she lied or not?
He knows Shaurya is a bad guy. He knew how childlike Payal was. Still no doubts?
He was afraid to talk case details at coffee shop with Gautam as he felt they could be spied upon. Why did he make the call to lawyer in open then? Where was his fear of being overheard? Why didn't he know someone chased his car to Payal's house?
He suffered two murder attempts after Shaurya threatened him. Yet he couldn't join dots even in private? He is this bullied that he cannot even think to himself?
Has he ever mustered guts to counter Rajnath and ask why doesn't he ask Shaurya to think of ghar ki izzat when he makes mistakes?
He is ingratiated to Goenkas in other matters but not when he squanders their shares?
He sent Gautam to another city to make him safe yet was never careful himself or took care of Payal's safety?
Rajnath brushed it aside when he talked of rape case. Brushed aside investigation of attacks on him. Still it didn't ring a bell with Dev? He found nothing fishy?
Sorry. What to talk of action on others or investigation? We have not even seen him think to himself correctly! No one stopped him from thinking! He is not that much of a puppet.
Agreed Debs this is pathetically a male centric society where even women keep treating males as babies and try to rationalise the blunders and shortcomings of a male. A man is an overgrown baby who needs constant mothering even if he fails to use basic common sense! That explains apologist stance for every man. And every action/non action of his.
