Others NOW have way more trouble to deal with than understand Mr Dev. The limitations he had were not greater than those on Nitya. Did he try to ever contact Nitya through other ways? Was he so bullied that his account was hacked and he had no idea? He had mostly been left to do his own thing, this is why he kept bonding with Mitra girls. So couldn't he find his own ways to keep in touch?
Why did he cover up Shaurya's mistakes and never share them with Mitra girls to warn them knowing that they frequented the Goenka house often?
There was no pressure on him to marry Durga. Rajnath and Suchitra were not convinced and most were shocked by Sakshi. He allowed himself to be bullied by Dayal with the Nitya lure.
Did he ever use his brain to notice how he was bullied? Till last month he was all heeheehaahaa with his family. Only felt stifled now?
He could have countered Dayal by threatening to complain to police on illegal confinement of Nitya. But no. He easily believed he could get Nitya if he obeyed him.
Dev always had resources, time alone, non interference and money. Never as pitiable so to be the way he is.
Nitya also seems to be bossy in flashbacks. She didn't give him any greater love than his mother.
Dev is basically a failure who neither lived up to dreams of his parents, nor was there for his friend.
Who was stopping him from confessing love to Nitya, rebelling, finding more ways to contact her?
The only ones who suffered destruction in true sense in this show were Mitras - Payal and Nitya included.
Mere frustration of Dev is nothing.
He greeted family happily on return and had no problem with them till last month. This means he didn't even have idea of their manipulation and bullying him!
He was 50% shareholder. Did he ever try to assert himself as his mother's only son and owner of half the Goenka empire? Even mild assertion to get his own way?
A man is never this helpless. Rather he should have been shield of his mother too who was being bullied by other Goenkas. But he was not.
How does he assume Nitya must be alive? How does he assume she too would reciprocate his love? How much he has thought that he is tired of thinking?
He was wondering why Payal changed statement, did he even consider once that big fish must have bullied small fish? Even ordinary people know possibility o witness intimidation!
Has he wondered why Payal's parents died?
Has he ever even asked the right questions?
The "oh he was an orphan" trope doesn't buy sympathy for Dev nor absolve him of his non action, mistakes and oversight.
