reminds me of Karz

Marrying for money and killing whoever comes in the way reminds me of the film Karz with Simi garewal playing the negative role. Incidentally the title is also taken from that famous song from Karz.
So the haseena should have been Sakshi but they made Durga the haseena.

Akash as a muslim and that too a religious one is a welcome development. Showing that ours is a multi cultural society.

Now Dayal seems to be relieved that Akash puzzle is solved.

Sakshi

A beautiful woman with a very ugly mind. Now the question is who are her parents and do they also have criminal tendencies? this is the second puzzle.

I always get reminded of Simi Garewal in Karz whenever I see Simone Singh as Sakshi Goenka in EHT! Same here!

She was also living like a queen but was actually controlled by goons whose moll she once was.

Sakshi was shown as a lonely orphan in a flashback once. It is a huge puzzle what happened to her before and after that incident.

Yes Sakshi is the haseena here with murky past coming to haunt her again, her victims ganging up against her to make her pay for her sins.

Durga's plastic surgery is so much akin to Ravi's reincarnation as Monty in Karz.

The main difference is that Sakshi is "humanised" as a mother whereas Simi was single/widow and pervert to boot even in old age in Karz.😆

EHT does resemble many famous 70s/80s films. Durga flirting with Shaurya was much like Rekha in Khoon bhari maang. Much like those films it has characters of other religions as well.

I overlooked this point. In a way Durga is Ravi seeking revenge.

Karz is one of my favourite movies. And that song " Ek Haseena thi" and Dard de Dil my all time favourite.

Yes it does remind me of Karz...
So going by d story what to expect next?

but judging by the no. Of sins she's committed ...
shutting ppl's mouth forever I doubt if a dejavu situation does arise I doubt she'd be remorseful until and unless it involves someone she dearly loves ..

I expect goons from her past to turn up. She was surely not adopted by a good family. I want to see what shady people got her and did to her that she is the way she is. Fun if they turn up to blackmail her now. Give us a more complex nexus than what we are expecting.
