More than positive characters, this show requires neutral characters. 90 percent characters are corrupt and evil and others who are left are like godly people. One neutral character who can re-open the case and give equal chances to both the parties is definitely required. Like some honest police officer who is smart and calculative but definitely not dumb like Dev?

@atominis thats why I said, I kind of agree but disagree too. Dev may have been the catalyst, sure, but not the cause.
Also, I feel CVs are biding their time. Sakshi-Durga interactions are not properly shown and the pandit one was more flimsy than the commissioner one.

Disagree. Actually Dev bought out the emotional vulnerability in Durga. I believe the biggest weakness of a woman is her emotional vulnerability. Unless you see a woman facing it and overcoming it, it will always remain a weak spot for a woman.

From the time Dev was introduced I was seeing how Durga was handling this part. The battle with her heart and head.

I believe there are certain things in the world where heart should rule over head and vica versa. Right application matters.

Sometimes it is better to accept your soft emotions than suppress them. It will give you better clarity.

Currently Durga is fumbling in this department. Her emotional vulnerability is out and open. One part of her wants to be Nithya for Dev and other part wants to be Durga for Payal. This conflict is affecting her decision and the most stupid decision from this conflict is the one to marry Shaurya.

First she herself has to realize Durga is actually a mask. She doesn't exist. Only Nithya exist. Nithya's emotions exist. What Nithya wants exist, Durga is just a medium to get that.

I want to see her winning this battle. This battle of emotions in a proper way.

Shruti: I always felt Dev was just a forced entry to please the TRP audience. Before that people were asking for Shaurya- Durga pair. As it was not possible, they got a replacement.

Why ?

1. Dev's character sketch is the weakest of all the EHT characters. Even the minute characters were given sharp roles.

2. Till now I fail to get with those 2 years he spent in USA and literally didn't try to contact Nitya. He also never realised his account was hacked. I also fail to understand that on what ground is expecting to meet Nitya one day ?

3. Durga seems to have planned almost everything. She came face to face to Sakshi and Shaurya but her reactions to see Dev looked like there were no such plans to deal with this character. As if she never expected Dev to come. Its Dev's house after all. He is ought to come sooner or later.

4. Her urge to avenge Dev over other Goenkas was absolutely ridiculous. Yes, she believed she was betrayed but one cannot expect someone to go against his family that easily and only because he did it was not a valid reason to avenge him.

5. All of a sudden Dayal wanted Durga to star afresh. Was this the reason he gave her a new face, new identity and helped her in the revenge process. It was just to insert a love angle in the story.

6. As for women's vulnerability is concerned, Durga never was in love with Dev. All of time she expected friendship from him. She gave him the locket so that he finds a girl whose photo fits in the locket. She wrote the same feelings in hte diary also. It was only when she realised Dev is innocently and madly in love with Nitya, she started to develop feelings for him. I found it somewhat ridiculous because Durga''s priority always was Payal and how possibly was she dreaming of a normal life with Dev?

Women are not vulnerable. No, they are not emotional fools. Its only the Indian makers who are hell bent of portraying woman as "mamta bhari maa" all the time.

agree. Actually the main prob is that the character of dev is very slow & that has unfortunately affected the pace of show . If they had to bring him back it would have been better if they had given him some sharpness. Durga never needed a luv interest as she had her target to achieve & luv story is not reqd here. Dev should have been a lawyer so that later he can fight 4 durga & do his repentance but all we get is a confused person who just wants to find the girl he loves so that he can have a happily ever after! Lastly durga too has been turned into a cry baby & confused person by our great dear dev.

@dey if EHT is an adapatation of Revenge which to a great extent it is Dev was not a forced entry. They needed that character for sure.

Secondly why didn't Durga planned for Dev, he had also betrayed her right. If she felt him to be in the enemy list she should have pinned him also on the target list. But his photo was in her diary till she saw him.

Emotional vulnearibility is a soft spot. It is not " Mamta Bhari Maa" but a true emotion. Love need not be the only reason for it. Any person who you are attached to any form can invoke that vulnerability in you. Even a close friend.

Coming to Dev he is simply in bubble and in APD mode( Awara Pagal Deewana). He lives in past, doesn't look at the present. Reason past is beautiful, present hurts. The day he faces ( I hope CVs make him face the present) present this character will change.

well dev had to be more strong character

his character is not that strong that's why shauriya and durga are leads and he feels like side hero

but i do not blame him .. that's how dev character is written !! so no my answer is no.. actually its the fans fault who always wanted a hero for durga so here is the hero
