Durga made issue of email due to his lack of contact plus what she suffered due to his family and don't forget she was from a poor family and had less education and exposure than Dev who is highly educated and well travelled. No comparison here.

I still don't think any of these makes him dumb, my point was I don't think most of the characters are dumb. Dev definitely is careless and doesn't think about things, but he is still intelligent.

Durga might not be as educated but I don't think that matters when it comes to understanding and observing others, there's no education for that. And that was where my point is based, that Durga is good at these mind games, and manipulating situations for her benefit, she knows how such a person like Sakshi works, because she is like her, Durga said so herself. By the way I'm not saying that's a bad thing, in real life maybe, but obviously in the show I'm glad she's like that. Dev however doesn't actually observe his own family, and he doesn't realise how low his family could go.

I also don't buy the email reasoning. He even said he didn't send it but she didn't believe him, even her father stated it could've been hacked, surely after seeing how the Goenka's won a losing case just by using and manipulating others, she could've thought Dev was used? I actually didn't like this point, as I thought it was out of character for an intelligent character like Durga not to think about it, and plan revenge too, when normally she does all her research properly.

As for the realistic comment, yes I do think he is realistic. Like I said he doesn't plot or plan, he isn't playing games, he is just going with life, and that's what normal people do, and that seems real to me, including the fact that he is sometimes stupid. I don't believe people live like Durga in real life.
