Look at his tweet and the pic he tweeted:

@shethvatsal SUPERB response on d #selfie Thank you soo much!! Selfie frm my phone splly for u'll #EkHasinaThipic.twitter.com/tIMoXf0eMZ

And look at some responses he got. "This is hilarious!", "You are king of selfies", "Amazing", "Loved it".😲

I see he is appreciated as a villain and be must be enjoying the praise. But was it right to tweet this selfie? Isn't he glorifying such acts? Is this a trophy to be shown? 😕

And people love it? 😲

He could have thanked people for the praise. What was the need to upload this shameful selfie?

Sorry but it does not reflect right on him. One should have responsiblity as an entertainer.

This scene was fiction. Not some joke to be flaunted like this.

Can't say whether he is right or not? I am in dilemma ...

Everyone knows it's his serial pic, he had not killed any in real. So chill ...

I agree with you Atominis that it is indeed in bad taste for Vatsal to tweet this picture.

It is making a mockery of the seriousness of the crime even though everyone knows it is from his serial.

Both are serious issues one of Rape and one of attempted murder and there is no levity in making light of it by posting it on Social Media.

Vatsal you are an actor portraying a character , do not ACT like Shaurya in REAL life.

@Dolly
Thanks

@Mona and @kriya

We know it is fictional but is it right to tweet such pics? Looking at responses also you think it is hilarious? I found it in bad taste . Vatsal is Vatsal not Shaurya.

This scene in the serial was a heinous crime to be abashed of, Vatsal shouldn't have tweeted it, its nothing like a matter of joke. Its understandable that its just a scene from the show,but then this should remain within the show..what the use of flaunting it and moreover, this selfie of him was not comely at all.

I remember when Anurag Kashyap had to promote Udaan he and cast took hockey sticks and smashed glass of a car in front of media and photographers. That was panned all over for being a ridiculous marketing stunt. He tried to justify it saying it was according to theme of the film (teen angst) but no one bought this argument.
Such acts should remain within fiction in a film or TV show. Not flaunted.

We never see villains enacting rape or murder scenes at stage shows or photoshoots.

Not really glorifying crimes or anything. I will take this as a still from the serial as other pics are. Overall this scene was dragged like anything. That was glorifying a crime.

I'm not sure... but maybe for actors who are enacting the scene, may not particularly focus on the brutual crime but may consider it as just like any other scene they are acting with dialogues, camera, etc... Since they take repeated shots from various angles, with many crew around they may not feel the impact of the crime the way we do when we watch the entire package on TV. To me it seems like one of the many offscreen pictures and videos...

No it is not correct...He shouldn't have done that...I really didn't like the scene in the serial itself...
