This serial reminds me most of this case.. The accused was acquitted by trial court due to insufficient evidence.. The higher courts later reversed the decision when the evidence was all presented..

I do agree the retribution is a bit larger than life!

But the case is not!

This is so unfortunate that such cases lead in justice in real life only after much media hue and cry, like in case of Nirbhaya, Jessica Lal or Priyadarshini Mattoo!!

But does media have time to cover each and every such case??

There are countless instance going unknown and uncovered.

No hard feelings or anything personal to the TM but this may be looking fake to you because of a safe and secure upbringing and comfortable life that you may have been leading till now! Ask a lady like me who lives and works in a city alone and you'll know that a safe return and sound sleep back home every day is an accomplishment in its own right in a chauvinistic country like ours!

I have heard so many times that in India it's so easy to be bought. So it's not totally wrong what they are showing. 5, 6 people going against Payal doesn't mean whole world is against her. Buying 5 people is nothing for Goenkas. Dev wasn't aganst Payal. He was used. It's not the same thing.

I am glad you quoted the example of Priyadarshini Matoo. Many would not know this that stalking wasn't a crime until this case hit the headlines.

@TM; you seem and sound like a kid to me! Firstly you want Durga to end up with Shaurya next you seem to be living in denial! There is thing known as witness protection in first world countries because it is very easy to influence a witness.

You either buy the witness with money or threaten his life. There are so many cases that have happened in this country. The most violent example being the Jessica Lal murder case. The witnesses were bought and the prime witness was threatened. Now do you really believe that the series is showing you some far fetched scenario! And it wasn't the whole world that turned against Payal; it were the prime witnesses and character witnesses of hers. All bought or threaten and then silenced.

these things happen in real life. a crime gets hidden by politicians or powerful businessperson or ministers etc etc. There are countless victims who were kept quiet and some had to back out. Also there are countless "witnesses" who stayed blind, deaf and dumb.

What Durga is doing is next to impossible in real life.

This happens to Bangladesh as well as in India. These two countries are one in this case

This serial is intended to open eyes and minds of people like you dear TM who are barely aware of ground realities.

Like members have cited several well known rape cases. Doctors are bribed, fake medical reports are given, lawyers and sometimes even judge harass rape victim and her family with obscene and awkward remarks and questions, friends, neighbours, colleagues, principals, bosses etc., are threatened or bribed to keep their mouths shut or give statement against the victim to render case fake, victim and her family are threatened and there are bids to kill them. And yes rape victims do suffer more harassment, rape attempts and insult as shameless chauvinist people think they are already "used" or tainted - like Ganguly said to Payal that he was not going to do anything new to her! 🤢

Ever read newspapers or watched news dear? Ever watched movies like Damini?

If not then do yourself a favour and catch up on reality.

THIS IS TRUTH.

Marrying gunda and falling in love with him is what we call too much falseness.

You want Shaurya reformed and have love story with Durga and now this. Either you are ignorant, naive or a plain rape apologist. Grow up!

I didn't make this post to show my hatred towards this serial. I actually love it. Very good story. And kinda of different from the sas bahu fights. But just mentioning what I feel. Please share yr opinions too. It talks about women rights too. So that's good

I am sorry for what I write now may hurt but truth is truth

when a court case is in process, the party who is wrong collects people who support it, and its but obvious that wrong doers support who are wrong

look at the delayed cases, say the Jessica Lal case, the Land Cruiser case, where people with money and power are involved; the justeice has come but late.

the Nirbhaya case gets justice because the people who did wrong had no money or power.

the people with money and power always try to delay the justice and are many times successful in their moves... but justice always sees the way through

there are things like this in real life also

in education line, many research scholars are exploited, may not be physically but menatlly they are tortured.

As for Dev being wrong I disagree, he is right, and he will be the Bhivishan of this Goenka's Lanka.

I seriously feel that u should get your facts checked dear...

In a country like India its more than shameful to commit such a crime...

& the inability to provide justice is the shear disappointment to all...

The influential attitude of the culprit actually shuns off the ways to seek justice for many other victims for ever...

A girl with no crime & mistake of hers is just brutally raped & has to live her life of abandonement by everyone... Why... Is not she a human... or have a right to live...

Men who rape forget that a women is the sole reason for existence on this earth...

Saving the culprit opens the way to such crimes for more...

& Indian law tends to molest & torture a girl a more on the name of justice... This epic statement was made by Shabana Azmi ji herself... & this is very true...

Being an Indian, when on one side I a proud for its achievement but such acts of brutality actually disgust me to the core... & We as girls cant even show our disappointment because we ourselves will be shunned off ultimately...

I am glad that Indian television gets to see such a show which shows the reality of society about such a henious crime at the time when such cases have broken the limits & Safety of girls is nearly extinct...

Hats off to the show makers... We cant imagine the feelings of girl who had to go through such crime... when we feel terrible only hearing about them...

whatever they are showing in the show is so real... However, here too Durga has waited for 2 years... & is complete change... we need more people like her...
