SOmetimes, useless characters in the story lessen the impact of good characters. I dont like to see a confused Durga while with Dev . Her expression becomes, " Ab kya karun ?" she wants to destroy Dev but the first time she saw him her expressions were like"Ye kaha se aagaya ?" She made a full proof plan but she wasn't expecting Dev at all. Knowing Sakshi, she could have read her face that day as she sense danger quite easily.

Another thing about this guy is why on this earth is he from the Goenka clan ?Why cant he some other guy we have in our life. A driver's daughter and Goenka's son, the possibility of a wed lock was in any case not possible. We all know how Sakshi and Rajnath can do anything to save their reputation.

@Bold: That is, I think, is the major motive behind the character. Like it or not, if Durga simply went on destroying everyone involved in the heinous crime against Payal without any conflicts, the show would lose all its essence. The conflicted Durga, who will have to decide between the goodness inculcated by her parents in her, and the revenge she has the met out to avenge her sister's life (rightfully), will add something to her character and portray her to not just be a robot behind revenge (like Dayal said.)

2. As you are stating your opinion here on the forum so are we. Dev's character according to me (played very well so far by the actor) does seem forced. It is again just an opiniion, and completely open to healthy discussion .

3. In all the topics made so far, no on is actually fighting or nagging anyone. Every topic is having a healthy debate and discussion on ones opinions and observation. And thats the best part of this forum so far. Hope it stays this way, clean and bash-less.

4. yep CVS cant make everyone happy, but raising points and opinions doesn't make us unhappy as viewers. It is fiction, to be watched and enjoyed. putting opinions and sharing it is a part of it.😊

Wholeheartedly respect your opinion and how you put it. Kudos.

However, I do not think Dev's character was forced. The timing, when several tracks (Rajnath affair, Ganguly, Shaurya becoming chief architect, proposal for marriage) were open, was wrong. But, in no way did I personally find it forced.

Not only has the show been written in advance already, but also there have hints towards such a character from the beginning. In fact, the moment they showed Suchitra (I'm not sure about the name, but I am referring to Dev's mother), and the whole "Aunty bolo" scene along with Durga's expressions, it was clear that there would be a story there. That moment, for me, already hinted to DEv's character.

I was a silent reader. ..see some of us like dev and some don't. ..but after watching today's episode this dev character os doing good...and me and my friends liked him...one thing is clear this story is not a love story it is a revenge story and when a love track comes a mature sensible truthful character suits with durga not a handsome liar rapist ...so before postibg anything about the actors or their performance...if u like appreciate and if u don't stop criticising. ...this is my pov...don't bash me...

OMG.. too many points and views. Let us first understand the options the fellow members have put forward.
1. Shaurya and Durga as a pair: It has been criticized from tip to toe and we all know why. No more getting into it because this topic is somewhat obsolete after the truth about the rape was revealed a few days back.

2. Criticing the new entry Dev: Among some of the members, I too believed a new entry was not required. I wanted the female lead to be strong woman and not a cry baby. It is not against the actor or his acting skills but why need a male shoulder to cry upon. Besides, he looks like a weak soul.Durga is far more strong-willed.

3. A pleasant love story: Lol.. this one is funny. Some of us wanted lovey- dovey scenes and Bhuvnesh Mann turned out to be disappointing.

4. Crticism of the actor: People found him unattractive and unskilled. While even the side actors like Aakash and Mathur were played by skilled people, people found him lacking screen presence.

P.S: These are the views that have come out of this discussion. While I agree with some, disagree with most of them.

@ gil-99 Any job that requires public opinion or public viewing shall invite both appreciation and criticism. The actors generally have the ability to accept it . One thing we all should remember is that it takes a lot of hard work to make a show like this. Criticism should therefore be positive enough to give feedback to the makers instead of breaking their morals

Criticism in its limits is a good thing.
